1Proanthocyanidins Inhibit Seed Germination by Maintaining a High Level of Abscisic Acid in Arabidopsis thaliana显示文摘Proanthocyanidins (PAs) are the main products of the flavonoid biosynthetic pathway in seeds, but their biological function during seed germination is still unclear. We observed that seed germination is delayed with the increase of exogenous PA concentration in Arabidopsis. A similar inhibitory effect occurred in peeled Brassica napus seeds, which was observed by measuring radicle elongation. Using abscisic acid (ABA), a biosynthetic and metabolic inhibitor, and gene expression analysis by real-time polymerase chain reaction, we found that the inhibitory effect of PAs on seed germination is due to their promotion of ABA via de novo biogenesis, rather than by any inhibition of its degradation. Consistent with the relationship between PA content and ABA accumulation in seeds, PA-deficient mutants maintain a lower level of ABA compared with wild-types during germination. Our data suggest that PA distribution in the seed coat can act as a doorkeeper to seed germination. 2Design of Reflective Concentrator Model with Application for Concentrator Photovoltaic System显示文摘The nonuniform irradiation in the standard photovoltaic(PV) cells causes their relatively high series resistance,which results in a considerably lowered efficiency of PV cells.Currently the concentrator of uniform irradiation designed for concentrator photovoltaic is rare in China and lack sufficient theoretical research.In this paper,a systematic research on the solar reflective concentrator is conducted.A novel structure for a solar reflective concentrator is designed with the application of a flat mirror matrix to concentrate the sunlight for concentrator photovoltaic(CPV) systems.Sunlight beams are focused through the reflection of the mirror array on the solar cell to generate electricity.The concentrator is capable of producing much more uniform sunlight with a certain concentration ratio.The design scheme includes laying out the flat mirrors,optimizing the optical pathway and the parameters of each mirror.The prototype of the CPV system was installed at Nanjing,China.In the configuration of the prototype,it is composed of 24 pieces parallelogram flat mirrors,which are arranged into a total reflective array of 5 rows and 5 columns.In comparison with the parabolic trough concentrator,the experimental measurements verify such design has high efficiency.The concentrator model of a flat mirror matrix and the proposed new design method will lay a solid foundation for designing the concentrator of uniform irradiation.SU Zhongyuan ZHANG Yaoming JIA Minping SUN Liguo XU Feiyun WANG Jun 2011Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2011,24,6:8
3Effective control allocation using hierarchical multi-objective optimization for multi-phase flight显示文摘For different flight phases in an overall flight mission,different control and allocation preferences should be pursued considering lift,drag or maneuverability characteristics.The multi-objective flight control allocation problem for a multi-phase flight mission is studied.For an overall flight mission,different flight phases namely climbing,cruise,maneuver and gliding phases are defined.Firstly,a multi-objective control allocation problem considering drag,lift or control energy preference is constructed.Secondly,considering different control preferences at different flight phases,the analytic hierarchical process method is used to construct a comprehensive performance index from different objectives such as lift or drag preferences.The active set based dynamic programming optimization method is used to solve the real-time optimization problem.For the validation,the Innovative Control Effector(ICE)tailless aircraft nonlinear model and the angular acceleration measurements based adaptive Incremental Backstepping(IBKS)are used to construct the validation platform.Finally,an overall flight mission is simulated to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed multi-phase and multi-objective flight control allocation method.The results show that the comprehensive performance index for different phases,which are determined from the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)method,can suitably satisfy the preference requirements for different flight phases.Liguo SUN Qing ZHOU Baoxu JIA Wenqian TAN Hangxu LI 2020Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,7:4

8Image-to-Image Style Transfer Based on the Ghost Module显示文摘The technology for image-to-image style transfer(a prevalent image processing task)has developed rapidly.The purpose of style transfer is to extract a texture from the source image domain and transfer it to the target image domain using a deep neural network.However,the existing methods typically have a large computational cost.To achieve efficient style transfer,we introduce a novel Ghost module into the GANILLA architecture to produce more feature maps from cheap operations.Then we utilize an attention mechanism to transform images with various styles.We optimize the original generative adversarial network(GAN)by using more efficient calculation methods for image-to-illustration translation.The experimental results show that our proposed method is similar to human vision and still maintains the quality of the image.Moreover,our proposed method overcomes the high computational cost and high computational resource consumption for style transfer.By comparing the results of subjective and objective evaluation indicators,our proposed method has shown superior performance over existing methods.Yan Jiang Xinrui Jia Liguo Zhang Ye Yuan Lei Chen Guisheng Yin 2021Computers, Materials & Continua2021,,9:0
