1Microbiota transplantation reveals beneficial impact of berberine on hepatotoxicity by improving gut homeostasis显示文摘Berberine has been shown to reduce acute liver injury although the underlying mechanism is not fully understood. Because of the anatomic connection, the liver is constantly exposed to gut-derived bacterial products and metabolites. In this study, we showed that berberine has beneficial effects on both hepatotoxicity and intestinal damage in a rat model of chronic or acute liver injury. Microbiota transplantation from the rats with chronic hepatotoxicity could aggravate acute hepatotoxicity in mice treated with diethylnitrosamine(DEN). In rat models with gut homeostasis disruption induced by penicillin or dextran sulfate sodium(DSS), their fecal microbiota could also cause an enhanced hepatotoxicity of recipient mice. When treated with berberine,the DSS-induced enteric dysbacteriosis could be mitigated and their fecal bacteria were able to reduce acute hepatotoxicity in recipient mice. This study indicates that berberine could improve intestinal dysbacteriosis, which reduces the hepatotoxicity caused by pathological or pharmacological intervention. 2Tomographic SAR imaging with large elevation aperture: a P-band small UAV demonstration显示文摘Elevation resolution is an important indicator in tomographic SAR imaging as it represents the ability to discriminate closed targets in elevation. In general, the elevation resolution is proportional to the length of the elevation aperture. However, as the elevation aperture increases, the geometric consistency of the image will undesirably deteriorate and hence fails the image coregistration approach required by the traditional super-resolution tomographic imaging. In this paper, a new super-resolution tomographic imaging method is proposed to overcome the inconsistency problem caused by the large elevation aperture. The core strategy is to get rid of two-dimensional image coregistration by applying a three-dimensional(3 D) back projection like imaging manner: the 3 D space is firstly divided into a 3 D imaging grid, each of which is individually imaged via compressive sensing for super-resolution. 3Real-time observation of vortex mode switching in a narrow-linewidth mode-locked fiber laser显示文摘Temporal and spatial resonant modes are always possessed in physical systems with energy oscillation.In ultrafast fiber lasers,enormous progress has been made toward controlling the interactions of many longitudinal modes,which results in temporally mode-locked pulses.Recently,optical vortex beams have been extensively investigated due to their quantized orbital angular momentum,spatially donut-like intensity,and spiral phase front.In this paper,we have demonstrated the first to our knowledge observation of optical vortex mode switching and their corresponding pulse evolution dynamics in a narrow-linewidth mode-locked fiber laser.The spatial mode switching is achieved by incorporating a dual-resonant acousto-optic mode converter in the vortex mode-locked fiber laser.The vortex mode-switching dynamics have four stages,including quiet-down,relaxation oscillation,quasi mode-locking,and energy recovery prior to the stable mode-locking of another vortex mode.The evolution dynamics of the wavelength shifting during the switching process are observed via the time-stretch dispersion Fourier transform method.The spatial mode competition through optical nonlinearity induces energy fluctuation on the time scale of ultrashort pulses,which plays an essential role in the mode-switching dynamic process.The results have great implications in the study of spatial mode-locking mechanisms and ultrashort laser applications.Jiafeng Lu Fan Shi Linghao Meng Longkun Zhang Linping Teng Zhengqian Luo Peiguang Yan Fufei Pang Xianglong Zeng 2020Photonics Research2020,8,7:2
4Construction of poly-naphthalocyanine linked by [4]-radialene-like structures on silver surfaces显示文摘Cyclic-conjugated linkages between planar-macrocydic molecules contribute to the robustness of the two-dimensional (2D) polymerization and extension of π-interactions. The fabrication of such linkages in 2D polymers remains challenging. Combining scanning tunneling microscope (STM) measurements and density functional theory (DFT) calculations, we demonstrate a linear polymerization of metal-free naphthalocyanine (NPc) molecules with [4]-radialene-like linkages on silver surfaces. Experimentally, by depositing NPc molecules on the Ag(110) surface and subsequent annealing up to 750 K, one-dimensional polymers are constructed along the [\(1\overline 1 0\)] direction. High-resolution STM images show a stem-leaf-like feature. STM simulations based on a linear polymer of NPc molecules linked by four-membered carbon rings, [4]-radialene-like structure, agree well with the experimental observations. DFT calculations reveal that the polymerization process includes detaching two-terminal H atoms of NPc molecules along [\(1\overline 1 0\)] direction, then bonding with a neighboring dehydrogenated NPc molecule by forming a four-membered ring. The dehydrogenation process can be promoted by on-surface impurities such as additional H atoms. Similar polymerizations have been achieved on Ag(111) surfaces in an amorphous way. Moreover, the energy gap of the NPc molecule decreases after linear polymerization, suggesting a red-shift for its optical absorption/scattering spectrum.
