1Spiral Steel Wire Based Fiber-Shaped Stretchable and Tailorable Triboelectric Nanogenerator for Wearable Power Source and Active Gesture Sensor显示文摘Continuous deforming always leads to the performance degradation of a flexible triboelectric nanogenerator due to the Young’s modulus mismatch of different functional layers.In this work,we fabricated a fiber-shaped stretchable and tailorable triboelectric nanogenerator(FST-TENG)based on the geometric construction of a steel wire as electrode and ingenious selection of silicone rubber as triboelectric layer.Owing to the great robustness and continuous conductivity,the FST-TENGs demonstrate high stability,stretchability,and even tailorability.For a single device with ~6 cm in length and ~3 mm in diameter,the open-circuit voltage of ~59.7 V,transferred charge of ~23.7 nC,short-circuit current of ~2.67 μA and average power of ~2.13 μW can be obtained at 2.5 Hz.By knitting several FST-TENGs to be a fabric or a bracelet,it enables to harvest human motion energy and then to drive a wearable electronic device.Finally,it can also be woven on dorsum of glove to monitor the movements of gesture,which can recognize every single finger,different bending angle,and numbers of bent finger by analyzing voltage signals.Lingjie Xie Xiaoping Chen Zhen Wen Yanqin Yang Jihong Shi Chen Chen Mingfa Peng Yina Liu Xuhui Sun 2019Nano-Micro Letters2019,11,3:13
2Triboelectric–Electromagnetic Hybrid Generator for Harvesting Blue Energy显示文摘Progress has been developed in harvesting lowfrequency and irregular blue energy using a triboelectric–electromagnetic hybrid generator in recent years. However,the design of the high-efficiency, mechanically durable hybrid structure is still challenging. In this study, we report a fully packaged triboelectric–electromagnetic hybrid generator(TEHG), in which magnets were utilized as the trigger to drive contact–separation-mode triboelectric nanogenerators(CS-TENGs) and coupled with copper coils to operate rotary freestanding-mode electromagnetic generators(RF-EMGs). The magnet pairs that produce attraction were used to transfer the external mechanical energy to the CS-TENGs, and packaging of the CS-TENGpart was achieved to protect it from the ambient environment. Under a rotatory speed of 100 rpm, the CS-TENGs enabled the TEHG to deliver an output voltage, current,and average power of 315.8 V, 44.6 μA, and ~ 90.7 μW,and the output of the RF-EMGs was 0.59 V, 1.78 m A, and 79.6 μW, respectively. The cylinder-like structure made the TEHG more easily driven by water flow and demonstrated to work as a practical power source to charge commercial capacitors. 3Hybrid Triboelectric Nanogenerators:From Energy Complementation to Integration显示文摘Energy collection ways using solar energy,wave,wind,or mechanical energy have attracted widespread attention for small selfpowered electronic devices with low power consumption,such as sensors,wearable devices,electronic skin,and implantable devices.Among them,triboelectric nanogenerator(TENG)operated by coupling effect of triboelectrification and electrostatic induction has gradually gained prominence due to its advantages such as low cost,lightweight,high degree of freedom in material selection,large power,and high applicability.The device with a single energy exchange mechanism is limited by its conversion efficiency and work environment and cannot achieve the maximum conversion of energy.Thus,this article reviews the research status of different types of hybrid generators based on TENG in recent years.Hybrid energy generators will improve the output performance though the integration of different energy exchange methods,which have an excellent application prospect.From the perspective of energy complementation,it can be divided into harvesting mechanical energy by various principles,combining with harvesters of other clean energy,and converting mechanical energy or various energy sources into hydrogen energy.For integrating multitype energy harvesters,mechanism of single device and structural design of integrated units for different application scenarios are summarized.The expanding energy harvesting efficiency of the hybrid TENG makes the scheme of self-charging unit to power intelligent mobile electronic feasible and has practical significance for the development of self-powered sensor network.Lingjie Xie Ningning Zhai Yina Liu Zhen Wen Xuhui Sun 2021Research2021,,1:1
4Two-Level Hierarchical PCG Methods for the Quadratic FEM Discretizations of 2D Concrete Aggregate Models显示文摘The concrete aggregate model is considered as a type of weakly discontinuous problem consisting of three phases:aggregates which randomly distributed in different shapes,cement paste and internal transition zone(ITZ).Because of different shapes of aggregate and thin ITZs,a huge number of elements are often used in the finite element(FEM)analysis.In order to ensure the accuracy of the numerical solutions near the interfaces,we need to use higher-order elements.The widely used FEM softwares such as ANSYS and ABAQUS all provide the option of quadratic elements.However,they have much higher computational complexity than the linear elements.The corresponding coefficient matrix of the system of equations is a highly ill-conditioned matrix due to the large difference between three phase materials,and the convergence rate of the commonly used solving methods will deteriorate.In this paper,two types of simple and efficient preconditioners are proposed for the system of equations of the concrete aggregate models on unstructured triangle meshes by using the resulting hierarchical structure and the properties of the diagonal block matrices.The main computational cost of these preconditioners is how to efficiently solve the system of equations by using linear elements,and thus we can provide some efficient and robust solvers by calling the existing geometric-based algebraic multigrid(GAMG)methods.Since the hierarchical basis functions are used,we need not present those algebraic criterions to judge the relationships between the unknown variables and the geometric node types,and the grid transfer operators are also trivial.This makes it easy to find the linear element matrix derived directly from the fine level matrix,and thus the overall efficiency is greatly improved.The numerical results have verified the efficiency of the resulting preconditioned conjugate gradient(PCG)methods which are applied to the solution of several typical aggregate models.Yingxiong Xiao Heng Chen Lingjie Xie 2019Advances in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics2019,11,6:1
5Impact of different human walking patterns on flow and contaminant dispersion in residential kitchens:Dynamic simulation study显示文摘The effects of different human walking patterns on contaminant dispersion in residential kitchens were investigated through computational fluid dynamics simulation with the dynamic mesh method.A tracer gas experiment was performed to verify the feasibility and accuracy of the simulation method.Flow characteristics induced by human walking were minutely described,and the transient capture efficiency of the range hood was adopted to assess the impact of human walking quantitatively.Human walking parallel to a counter,human walking parallel to a counter manned by another human,and human walking toward a counter were studied.Results showed that the mutual effect of the wake and thermal plume caused contaminant dispersion and decreased the performance of the range hood as the human subject walked beside the counter.Even a standing person operated ahead the counter,the wake would affect the thermal plume in a certain extent.The decrement of capture efficiency approached 0.5 in the most unfavorable situation.Moreover,the coaction of the positive/negative pressure zone and impinging air jet drew the thermal plume to the human body.The fluctuation of capture efficiency in this condition was moderate relative to that for the human walking pattern beside the counter.This research could provide a comprehensive overview of different human walking patterns and their impact on residential kitchens and thereby facilitate the maintenance of kitchen air quality.Lipeng Lv Yuhang Wu Changsheng Cao Lingjie Zeng Jun Gao Wuhao Xie Jing Zhang 2022Building Simulation2022,15,6:1
