| 1 | Waxy allelic diversity in common millet(Panicum miliaceum L.) in China显示文摘A set of 132 accessions of common millet,Panicum miliaceum L.,from 12 provinces of China were assessed for endosperm starch type(waxy or non-waxy)using I_2-KI staining,amylose and amylopectin contents using the dual-wavelength colorimetric method,and genotype of Waxy genes conditioning amylose content by gene sequencing.Endosperm starch content varied from57.69%to 74.70%,while the amylose and amylopectin contents of the starch ranged from 0 to23.29%and from 41.99%to 70.24%,respectively.Sequencing two Wx genes,including Wx-L(intron 5-exon 7 and intron 8–9)and Wx-S(exon 9–intron 10)revealed several polymorphisms(S_0,S_(-15),L_C,L_F,L_Y).Marker M5-R11 linking to the Wx-S gene may be used to discriminate waxy common millet accessions from non-waxy ones.Among the 132 accessions,68 with the S_(-15)allele had waxy endosperm starch with the amylose content range 0–2.58%and 64 accessions with the S_0allele had non-waxy endosperm starch with amylose content range 3.94%–23.29%.Five genotypes including S_(-15)/L_F(45%of the accessions),S_0/L_F(25%),S_0/L_Y(12%),S_0/L_C(11%),and S_(-15)/L_Y(7%)were identified.Six new SNPs were detected at the Wx-L locus.These results will facilitate common millet breeding,especially of cultivars free of amylose. | Ruiyun Wang Haigang Wang Xiaohuan Liu Xu Ji Ling Chen Ping Lu Minxuan Liu Bin Teng Zhijun Qiao | 2018 | The Crop Journal2018,6,4: | 10 |
| 2 | Experimental Study on Measurement of Flame Temperature Distribution Using the Two-Color Method显示文摘A novel optical instrumentation system for flame characterization was developed and tested. The two-color system is capable of performing on-line measurement of flame and temperature distribution, providing temporal and spatial characterization of the combustion process. In addition, the system has the advantage of being non-intrusive. The on-line measurement of temperature distribution on a methane-air combustor revealed some interesting characteristics. When air flow rate was kept constant, an increase in CH4 flow rate would enhance the combustion intensity and elevate the flame temperature. While under constant CH4 flow rate, the increase of air flow rate would lead the measured flame temperature first to increase and then decrease. The drop of temperature might partially be caused by the heat losses due to excessive air. | 5 | Role of the Cu-ZrO_(2) interface in the hydrogenation of levulinic acid to γ-valerolactone显示文摘Here we exquisitely fabricated Cu/ZrO_(2)-dp catalysts with plentiful Cu-ZrO_(2)interfaces by depositing amorphous ZrO_(2)onto Cu nanoparticles for the hydrogenation of levulinic acid(LA)to y-valerolactone(GVL).With the created plentiful CU-ZrO_(2)interfaces,the optimal catalyst 3 Cu/ZrO_(2)-dp exhibited exceptional catalytic performance under mild reaction conditions,and achieved the highest GVL mass productivity of 266.0 mmol GVL·h^(-1)·g^(-1)Cu,which was 12.5 and 2.3 times of CU/ZrO_(2)catalysts with equivalent Cu loadings prepared by traditional impregnation(3 Cu/ZrO_(2)-im)or co-precipitation(3 Cu/ZrO_(2)-cp).As far as we know,this GVL mass productivity stood at the highest level compared with those obtained using non-noble metal catalysts under similar reaction conditions.By systematic investigation with multiple characterizations,density functional theory(DFT)calculations,and kinetic studies,it was found that interfacial active centers were created at Cu-ZrO_(2)interfaces,which contained oxygen vacancies(O_(v)),negatively charged Cu^(δ)-and partially reduced Zr^(3+)The O_(v) favored the adsorption and activation of LA via its ketone group,while negatively charged Cu^(δ)-was able to enhance heterolysis of H2,which resulted in the formation of H^(+)-Cu^(δ)-and Zr^(3+)-H^(-)active species via hydrogen spillover.Also,plentiful acid sites,which derived from coordinatively unsaturated and defective Zr species,generated at Cu-ZrO_(2)interfaces.With the cooperation of interfacial active centers(Cu^(δ-)-O_(v)-Zr^(3+))and acid sites,the fabricated 3 Cu/ZrO_(2)-dp with plentiful Cu-ZrO_(2)interfaces achieved excellent catalytic performance for the hydrogenation of LA to GVL.Hence,the synergistic catalysis of Cu-ZrO_(2)interfaces provided an effective strategy for designing catalysts with a satisfactory performance for the hydrogenation of LA,which also can be expanded to other hydrodeoxygenation reactions. | Ziyi Li Haigang Hao Jingjing Lu Chengming Wu Rui Gao Jifan Li Chun-Ling Liu Wen-Sheng Dong | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,10: | 1 |
