1Platelet-rich fibrin-induced bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell differentiation into osteoblast-like cells and neural cells显示文摘Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells were allowed to develop for 14 days in a platelet-rich fibrin environment.Results demonstrated that platelet-rich fibrin significantly promoted bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell proliferation.In addition,there was a dose-dependent increase in Runt-related transcription factor-2 and bone morphogenetic protein-2 mRNA expression,as well as neuron-specific enolase and glial acidic protein.Results showed that platelet-rich fibrin promoted bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell proliferation and differentiation of osteoblast-like cells and neural cells in a dose-dependent manner.Qi Li Yajun Geng Lei Lu Tingting Yang Mingrui Zhang Yanmin Zhou 2011Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,31:12
2A Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae effector, Xop R, associates with receptor-like cytoplasmic kinases and suppresses PAMP-triggered stomatal closure显示文摘Receptor-like kinases(RLKs) play important roles in plant immunity signaling; thus, many are hijacked by pathogen effectors to promote successful pathogenesis. Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae(Xoo) is the causal agent of rice leaf blight disease. The strain PXO99 A has 18 non-TAL(transcription activation-like) effectors; however, their mechanisms of action and host target proteins remain largely unknown. Although the effector XopR from the Xoo strain MAFF311018 was shown to suppress PAMP-triggered immune responses in Arabidopsis, its target has not yet been identified. Here, we show that PXO99 A XopR interacts with BIK1 at the plasma membrane. BIK1 is a receptor-like cytoplasmic kinase(RLCK) belonging to the RLK family of proteins and mediates PAMP-triggered stomatal immunity. In turn, BIK1 phosphorylates XopR. Furthermore, XopR suppresses PAMP-triggered stomatal closure in transgenic Arabidopsis expressing XopR. In addition, XopR is able to associate with RLCKs other than BIK1. 3Experimental Study on Measurement of Flame Temperature Distribution Using the Two-Color Method显示文摘A novel optical instrumentation system for flame characterization was developed and tested. The two-color system is capable of performing on-line measurement of flame and temperature distribution, providing temporal and spatial characterization of the combustion process. In addition, the system has the advantage of being non-intrusive. The on-line measurement of temperature distribution on a methane-air combustor revealed some interesting characteristics. When air flow rate was kept constant, an increase in CH4 flow rate would enhance the combustion intensity and elevate the flame temperature. While under constant CH4 flow rate, the increase of air flow rate would lead the measured flame temperature first to increase and then decrease. The drop of temperature might partially be caused by the heat losses due to excessive air. 5Coordinated Resource Allocation for Satellite-Terrestrial Coexistence Based on Radio Maps显示文摘Coexistence of satellite and terrestrial wireless communication systems in the same frequency band is quite promising for addressing the challenge of spectrum scarcity. To cope with the inevitable inter-system interference, radio resource allocation at both sides should be carefully re-optimized. In this paper, we focus on a scenario where a satellite communication system and a terrestrial distributed antenna system(DAS) coexist via spectrum sharing. We particularly utilize the radio map(RM) to reduce the system overhead for channel acquisition. Based on the large-scale channel state information at the transmitter(CSIT), which is derived from the RM, we propose an optimized power allocation scheme to improve the achievable sum rate of the terrestrial system. For the satellite side, an opportunistic user scheduling scheme is presented, to reduce the harmful leakage interference to the terrestrial mobile users. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed RM-based coordination scheme can significantly promote the performance of satellite terrestrial coexistence, although the small-scale channel fading has been ignored in the formulated optimization.Yanmin Wang Zhou Lu 2018China Communications2018,15,3:4
6miR-7/TGF-β2 axis sustains acidic tumor microenvironment-induced lung cancer metastasis显示文摘Acidosis,regardless of hypoxia involvement,is recognized as a chronic and harsh tumor microenvironment(TME)that educates malignant cells to thrive and metastasize.Although overwhelming evidence supports an acidic environment as a driver or ubiquitous hallmark of cancer progression,the unrevealed core mechanisms underlying the direct effect of acidification on tumorigenesis have hindered the discovery of novel therapeutic targets and clinical therapy.Here,chemical-induced and transgenic mouse models for colon,liver and lung cancer were established,respectively.miR-7 and TGF-β2 expressions were examined in clinical tissues(n=184).RNA-seq,miRNA-seq,proteomics,biosynthesis analyses and functional studies were performed to validate the mechanisms involved in the acidic TME-induced lung cancer metastasis.Our data show that lung cancer is sensitive to the increased acidification of TME,and acidic TME-induced lung cancer metastasis via inhibition of miR-7-5 p.TGF-β2 is a direct target of miR-7-5 p.The reduced expression of miR-7-5 p subsequently increases the expression of TGF-β2 which enhances the metastatic potential of the lung cancer.Indeed,overexpression of miR-7-5 p reduces the acidic p H-enhanced lung cancer metastasis.Furthermore,the human lung tumor samples also show a reduced miR-7-5 p expression but an elevated level of activated TGF-β2;the expressions of both miR-7-5 p and TGF-β2 are correlated with patients’survival.We are the first to identify the role of the miR-7/TGF-β2 axis in acidic p H-enhanced lung cancer metastasis.Our study not only delineates how acidification directly affects tumorigenesis,but also suggests miR-7 is a novel reliable biomarker for acidic TME and a novel therapeutic target for non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)treatment.Our study opens an avenue to explore the p H-sensitive subcellular components as novel therapeutic targets for cancer treatment.Tao Su Suchao Huang Yanmin Zhang Yajuan Guo Shuwei Zhang Jiaji Guan Mingjing Meng Linxin Liu Caiyan Wang Dihua Yu Hiu-Yee Kwan Zhiying Huang Qiuju Huang Elaine Lai-Han Leung Ming Hu Ying Wang Zhongqiu Liu Linlin Lu 2022Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,2:2
7Numerical Simulation of Water and Sand Blowouts When Penetrating Through Shallow Water Flow Formations in Deep Water Drilling显示文摘In this study, we applied a two-phase flow model to simulate water and sand blowout processes when penetrating shallow water flow(SWF) formations during deepwater drilling. We define ‘sand' as a pseudo-component with high density and viscosity, which can begin to flow with water when a critical pressure difference is attained. We calculated the water and sand blowout rates and analyzed the influencing factors from them, including overpressure of the SWF formation, as well as its zone size, porosity and permeability, and drilling speed(penetration rate). The obtained data can be used for the quantitative assessment of the potential severity of SWF hazards. The results indicate that overpressure of the SWF formation and its zone size have significant effects on SWF blowout. A 10% increase in the SWF formation overpressure can result in a more than 90% increase in the cumulative water blowout and a 150% increase in the sand blowout when a typical SWF sediment is drilled. Along with the conventional methods of well flow and pressure control, chemical plugging, and the application of multi-layer casing, water and sand blowouts can be effectively reduced by increasing the penetration rate. 9A wet adhesion inspired biomimetic pad with direction dependence and adaptability显示文摘A novel adhesive pad for a climbing robot, inspired by a stick insect's smooth pad, is proposed. The micro structure pattern and inclined fiber of a stick insect's pad are mimicked, and an adhesion force is produced based on its wet adhesion mechanism. Firstly, the wet adhesion model is discussed and the pad is designed; secondly, the adhesion characteristics, adhesion direction dependence and adaptability are analyzed; finally, the proposed pad is fabricated using a thermoplastic elastomer, which is a hydrophilic and viscoelastic material. Experimental results show that the adhesion performance of the pad is good, and normal adhesion and friction can reach to 0.65 N and 3 N.
