Diffusion of chemically reactive species in third grade fluid flow over an exponentially stretching sheet considering magnetic field effects显示文摘This article addresses the magnetohydrodynamics(MHD) flow of a third grade fluid over an exponentially stretching sheet. Analysis is carried out in the presence of first order chemical reaction. Both cases of constructive and destructive chemical reactions are reported. Convergent solutions of the resulting differential systems are presented in series forms. Characteristics of various sundry parameters on the velocity, concentration, skin friction and local Sherwood number are analyzed and discussed.T.Hayat M.Ijaz Khan M.Waqas A.Alsaedi T.Yasmeen 2017Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2017,25,3:2
Modeling Chemically Reactive Flow of Sutterby Nanofluid by a Rotating Disk in Presence of Heat Generation/Absorption显示文摘In this article we investigate the flow of Sutterby liquid due to rotating stretchable disk. Mass and heat transport are analyzed through Brownian diffusion and thermophoresis. Further the effects of magnetic field, chemical reaction and heat source are also accounted. We employ transformation procedure to obtain a system of nonlinear ODE's. This system is numerically solved by Built-in-Shooting method. Impacts of different involved parameter on velocity, temperature and concentration are described. Velocity, concentration and temperature gradients are numerically computed. Obtained results show that velocity is reduced through material parameter. Temperature and concentration are enhanced with thermophoresis parameter.T.Hayat Salman Ahmad M.Ijaz Khan A.Alsaedi 2018Communications in Theoretical Physics2018,69,5:1
Hydromagnetic Carreau Nanoliquid in Frames of Dissipation and Activation Energy显示文摘The novel characteristics of magnetic field and entropy generation in mixed convective flow of Carreau fluid towards a stretched surface are investigated.Buongiornio nanoliquid model consists of thermophoresis and Brownian movement aspects is opted for analysis.Energy expression is modeled subject to thermal radiation and viscous dissipation phenomenon.Concentration by zero mass flux condition is implemented.Consideration of chemical reaction and activation energy characterizes the mass transfer mechanism.Total entropy generation rate and Bejan number is formulated. The utilization of transformation variables reduces the PDEs into non-linear ODEs.The obtained nonlinear complex problems are computed numerically through Shooting scheme. The impact of involved variables like local Weissenberg number, magnetic parameter, thermal radiation parameter,Brownian motion parameter, thermophoresis parameter, buoyancy ratio parameter, mixed convection parameter,Prandtl parameter,Eckert number,Schmidt number,non-dimensional activation energy parameter, chemical reaction parameter,Brinkman number, dimensionless concentration ratio variable, diffusive variable and dimensionless temperature ratio variable on velocity, temperature, nanoparticles concentration, entropy generation,Bejan number, surface drag force and heat transfer rate are examined through graphs and tables.M.Waqas Saira Naz T.Hayat M.Ijaz Khan A.Alsaedi 2019Communications in Theoretical Physics2019,71,12:0
Biochar Application Improves the Drought Tolerance in Maize Seedlings显示文摘Application of biochar to agricultural soils is mostly used to improve soil fertility.Experimental treatments were comprised of two factors:i)drought at two level,i.e.,80%and 40%water holding capacity(WHC)which was maintained on gravimetric basis ii)three levels of biochar i.e.,control,2 t ha^(-1) and 4 t ha^(-1) added to soil.Experimentation was done to examine potential of biochar application to enhance the growth attributes, water relations, photosynthetic pigments and antioxidants activities in maize(Zea mays L.)seedlings.Results of study revealed that biochar application increased the growth qualities(total seedlings biomass, dry weight of shoot and root, shoot length and root length). In addition;contents of photosynthetic pigments(chlorophyll a,b,a+b and a/b),water relation(relative water contents, turgor potential, osmotic potential and water potential)were improved significantly due to addition of biochar.Addition of 4 t ha^(-1) biochar led to significant rise activity of enzymatic antioxidant catalase(CAT),superoxide dismutase(SOD)and peroxidase(POD)in leaf of maize seedling sunder drought as well as well watered circumstances. However, biochar applied at the rate 4 t ha^(-1) improved the all the physiological and biochemical attributes in maize seedlings under drought. From the results it was concluded that biochar application is an efficient way to alleviate adverse effect of drought stress on maize. In drought prone areas, long term impacts of biochar on production of maize and properties of soil could be recommended as upcoming shove.A.Sattar A.Sher M.Ijaz M.Irfan M.Butt T.Abbas S.Hussain A.Abbas M.S.Ullah M.A.Cheema 2019Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2019,88,4:0
Modeling and numerical analysis of nanoliquid (titanium oxide, graphene oxide) flow viscous fluid with second order velocity slip and entropy generation显示文摘The prime objective of the present communication is to examine the entropy-optimized second order velocity slip Darcy–Forchheimer hybrid nanofluid flow of viscous material between two rotating disks.Electrical conducting flow is considered and saturated through Darcy–Forchheimer relation. Both the disks are rotating with different angular frequencies and stretches with different rates. Here graphene oxide and titanium dioxide are considered for hybrid nanoparticles and water as a continuous phase liquid.Joule heating, heat generation/absorption and viscous dissipation effects are incorporated in the mathematical modeling of energy expression.Furthermore, binary chemical reaction with activation energy is considered. The total entropy rate is calculated in the presence of heat transfer irreversibility, fluid friction irreversibility,Joule heating irreversibility, porosity irreversibility and chemical reaction irreversibility through thermodynamics second law.The nonlinear governing equations are first converted into ordinary differential equations through implementation of appropriate similarity transformations and then numerical solutions are calculated through Built-in-Shooting method.Characteristics of sundry flow variables on the entropy generation rate, velocity, concentration,Bejan number, temperature are discussed graphically for both graphene oxide and titanium dioxide hybrid nanoparticles. The engineering interest like skin friction coefficient and Nusselt number are computed numerically and presented through tables. It is noticed from the obtained results that entropy generation rate and Bejan number have similar effects versus diffusion parameter. Also entropy generation rate is more against the higher Brinkman number.M.Ijaz Khan Seifedine Kadry Yuming Chu M.Waqas 2021Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,3:0
Effect of Nonlinear Convection on Stratified Flow of Third Grade Fluid with Revised Fourier-Fick Relations显示文摘Here thermal dependence conductivity and nonlinear convection features in third-grade liquid flow bounded by moving surface having varying thickness are formulated. Stagnation point flow is considered. Revised FourierFick relations and double stratification phenomena are utilized for modeling energy and concentration expressions.Mathematical model of considered physical problem is achieved by implementing the idea of boundary layer theory. The acquired partial differential system is transformed into ordinary ones by employing relevant variables. The homotopic scheme yield convergent solutions of governing nonlinear expressions. Graphs are constructed for distinct values of physical constraints to elaborate the heat/mass transportation mechanisms.M.Waqas M.Ijaz Khan T.Hayat A.Alsaedi 2018Communications in Theoretical Physics2018,69,7:0
