Contrasting elevational diversity patterns for soil bacteria between two ecosystems divided by the treeline显示文摘Above- and below-ground organisms are closely linked, but how elevational distribution pattern of soil microbes shifting across the treeline still remains unknown. Sampling of 140 plots with transect, we herein investigated soil bacterial distribution pattern from a temperate forest up to a subalpine meadow along an elevational gradient using Illumina sequencing. Our results revealed distinct elevational patterns of bacterial diversity above and below the treeline in responding to changes in soil conditions:a hollow elevational pattern in the forest(correlated with soil temperature, pH, and C:N ratio) and a significantly decreasing pattern in the meadow(correlated with soil pH, and available phosphorus). The bacterial community structure was also distinct between the forest and meadow, relating to soil pH in the forest and soil temperature in the meadow. Soil bacteria did not follow the distribution pattern of herb diversity, but bacterial community structure could be predicted by herb community composition. These results suggest that plant communities have an important influence on soil characteristics, and thus change the elevational distribution of soil bacteria. Our findings are useful for future assessments of climate change impacts on microbial community. | Guixiang Li Guorui Xu Congcong Shen Yong Tang Yuxin Zhang Keming Ma | 2016 | Science China(Life Sciences)2016,59,11: | 9
Object-level change detection based on full-scale image segmentation and its application to Wenchuan Earthquake显示文摘Aiming at object fragmentation and poor detection results caused by discontinuous segmentation scale in object-level change detection,a new object-level change detection method based on the full-scale object tree is presented in this paper. The core idea of this new algorithm is to establish the full-scale object tree based on convexity model theory and integrate full-scale image segmentation techniques and change detection into the whole process. Some Wenchuan Earthquake images are taken as an example to discuss the new method for earthquake damage detection and evaluation in urban area, landslide detection, and extraction of barrier lake boundary. The application shows that the new method is robust and it provides an advanced tool for the quantitative detection and evaluation of earthquake damage. | GONG JianYa,SUI HaiGang,SUN KaiMin,MA GuoRui & LIU JunYi State Key Laboratory of Information Engineering in Surveying,Mapping and Remote Sensing,Wuhan University,Wuhan 430072,China | 2008 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2008,51,S2: | 7
Region-based classification by combining MS segmentation and MRF for POLSAR images显示文摘Speckle effects on classification results can be suppressed to some extent by introducing the contextual information. An unsupervised classification algorithm is proposed for polarimetric synthetic aperture radar(POLSAR) images based on the mean shift(MS) segmentation and Markov random field(MRF).First, polarimetric features are exacted by target decomposition for MS segmentation. An initial classification is executed by using the target decomposition and the agglomerative hierarchical clustering algorithm.Thereafter,a classification step based on MRF is performed by using the mean coherence matrices obtained for each segment.Under the MRF framework, the smoothness term is defined according to the distance between neighboring areas.By using POLSAR images acquired by the German Aerospace Centre and National Aeronautics and Space Administration/Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the experimental results confirm that the proposed method has higher accuracy and better regional connectivity than other classification methods. | Bin Zhang Guorui Ma Zhi Zhang Qianqing Qin | 2013 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2013,24,3: | 5

Impact–sliding fretting tribocorrosion behavior of 316L stainless steel in solution with different halide concentrations显示文摘Impact–sliding caused by random vibrations between tubes and supports can affect the operation of heat exchangers. In addition,a corrosive environment can cause damage, accelerating the synergism of corrosion and wear. Therefore, the focus of this work was the impact–sliding fretting tribocorrosion behavior of 316L heat exchanger tubes at different halide concentrations.A device system incorporating the in situ electrochemical measurements of impact–sliding fretting corrosion wear was constructed, and experiments on 316L heat exchanger tubes in sodium chloride(NaCl)solution with different concentrations(0.0,0.1,0.5,1.0,3.5,and 5.0 wt%)were carried out.The synergism between wear and corrosion was also calculated and analyzed. The wear and damage mechanisms were elucidated by correlating the corrosion–wear synergism, morphologies, and material loss rates. The results indicated that the stable wear stage occurred at approximately 9–12 h,after which the corrosion current increased with the expansion of the wear area.As the halide concentration increased, the scale of damage on the wear scars gradually decreased, changing from being dominated by cracks, delaminations, and grooves to being dominated by scratches, microgrooves, and holes. There was an obvious positive synergism between wear and corrosion. The material loss was dominated by pure mechanical wear and wear enhanced by corrosion, but corrosion enhanced by wear contributed more than tangential sliding fretting corrosion. The total mass loss increased gradually in the range of 0.0–0.5 wt%and decreased in the range of 0.5–5.0 wt%.Large-scale damage enhanced by corrosivity and small-scale damage reduced by lubricity dominated the material loss at low and high concentrations, respectively. | Xu MA Wei TAN Remy BONZOM Xue MI Guorui ZHU | 2023 | Friction2023,11,12: | 0
Canagliflozin Regulates Ferroptosis, Potentially via Activating AMPK/PGC-1α/Nrf2 Signaling in HFpEF Rats显示文摘Aims:Sodium-glucose cotransporter-2(SGLT2)inhibitors have been found to ameliorate major adverse cardiovascular events in patients with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction(HFpEF),but the exact mechanism is unknown.Ferroptosis is a form of programmed necrosis.Herein,we verified that canagliflozin(CANA)ameliorates heart function in HFpEF rats, partly by regulating ferroptosis, which may be activated by AMPK/PGC-1α/Nrf2 signaling. Methods:An HFpEF model was established and subjected to CANA treatment.Blood pressure was monitored, and echocardiography was performed at the 12th week.Pathological examination was performed, and expression of ferroptosis-associated proteins and AMPK/PGC-1α/Nrf2 signaling related proteins was detected. Results:CANA had an antihypertensive effect and increased E/A ratios in HFpEF rats.Myocardial pathology was ameliorated,on the basis of decreased cross-sectional area and intercellular fibrosis.Acyl-CoA synthetase longchain family member 4(ACSL4)expression increased, whereas ferritin heavy chain 1(FTH1)expression decreased in HFpEF rats, which showed iron overload.CANA reversed changes in ACSL4 and FTH1,and decreased iron accumulation, but did not alter glutathione peroxidase 4(GPX4)expression.The expression of AMPK/PGC-1α/Nrf2 signaling related proteins and heme oxygenase 1(HO-1)in the HFpEF group decreased but was reverted after CANA treatment. Conclusions:CANA regulates ferroptosis, potentially via activating AMPK/PGC-1α/Nrf2 signaling in HFpEF rats. | Sai Ma Lili He Qingjuan Zuo Guorui Zhang Yifang Guo | 2022 | Cardiovascular Innovations and Applications2022,7,3: | 0
