1Phosphorus Uptake from Rhizosphere Soil by Two Wheat Cultivars显示文摘Inorganic soil phosphorus extractable with sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3-Pi), soil pH and root hairs length and density in the rhizosphere of two winter wheat cultivars (Triticum aestivum L. cv. Shichun,Sleipner) grown on a high pH Chinese silt loam (52.7 mg NaHCO3-Pi kg-1) and a Danish sandy loam (43.4mg NaHCO3-Pi kg-1) were studied to assess how these wheat cultivars differed in phoephorus uptake.The rhizosphere soil pH of two wheat cultivars grown on the two soils were fairly unchanged with increasing distance from the root surface. However the root hairs of Shichun were 2.1 times longer than those of Sleipner. Root surface area (RSA) of Shichun increased by 192% due to root hairs whereas root hairs of Sleipner increased RSA by 68% only. Hence the root system of Shichun was in contact with more soil than that of Sleipner, even though Sleipner had a longer root. Grown at the lower pH and level of NaHCO3-Pi in the Danish soil Shichun absorbed more inorganic phosphorus than Sleipner whereas at the higher pH and level of NaHCO3-Pi in the Chinese soil there was no phosphorus uptake difference between the two wheat cultivars.MAJIAN T.S.GAHOONIA 1998Pedosphere1998,8,4:4

4ANALYTIC METHOD FOR INVERSING THE OPEN BOUNDARY CONDITIONS IN A SEMI-CLOSED SEA AREA—CASE I FOR INVERSING THE TIDAL LEVELS AT OPEN BOUNDARY显示文摘In this paper, a computational case was employed to describe the computational procedure for inversing the tidal level open boundary conditions using an analytic method. The area for finding the solution is a circular area with a circular arc with the opening angle 60°-being the open boundary and the other circular arc being the solid wall boundary. Proceeding from the reestablished elliptic partial differential equation satisfied by the tidal level function, the extended spectrum method was used to derive the general solution of the equation for the sea of constant depth, and the impermeable solid wall condition (the second class boundary condition) and the adequately specified open boundary conditions were then applied to determine the undetermined coefficients of the general solution, thus obtaining the tidal level distribution function. In this way, both the first and second class boundary values at the solid wall boundary were obtained. With the above boundary values as the boundary conditions, the tidal level values at the open boundary were then inversed by means of the general solution of tidal wave equation. The best way to manage this problem is to remove the transvenous leads.1,2 The technique for percutaneous removal of transvenous leads have undergone considerable development in western countries over the past 2 decades. However, there was scarce data on the application of this technique in China. 6Load Balancing Based on Anycast and Pseudo-Mobility in IPv6显示文摘We proposed a new Load balancing mechanism, called LBAM (Load balancing based on anycast and pseudo-mobility in IPv6), by which sessions can be distributed across a pool of servers for maximum performance. Load balancing is needed in many fields, such as Web server, FTP (File transfer protocol) server and NAT-PT (Network address translation-protocol translation) gateway, and there exist several approaches for load balancing. However, current approaches have problems such as poor scalability, inability to balance session flow,long latency time, and topological constraint on server pools. In this paper, we describe how LBAM works in principle without the above problems. We also present our simulation work using NS-2 and discuss performance comparison between LBAM and other load balancing mechanisms. The results show that LBAM has very advanced performance and scalability.
