| 1 | Multi-modality imaging review of congenital abnormalities of kidney and upper urinary tract显示文摘Congenital abnormalities of the kidney and urinary tract(CAKUT) include a wide range of abnormalities ranging from asymptomatic ectopic kidneys to life threatening renal agenesis(bilateral). Many of them are detected in the antenatal or immediate postnatal with a significant proportion identified in the adult population with varying degree of severity. CAKUT can be classified on embryological basis in to abnormalities in the renal parenchymal development, aberrant embryonic migration and abnormalities of the collecting system. Renal parenchymal abnormalities include multi cystic dysplastic kidneys, renal hypoplasia, number(agenesis or supernumerary), shape and cystic renal diseases. Aberrant embryonic migration encompasses abnormal location and fusion anomalies. Collecting system abnormalities include duplex kidneys and Pelvi ureteric junction obstruction. Ultrasonography(US) is typically the first imaging performed as it is easily available, noninvasive and radiation free used both antenatally and postnatally. Computed tomography(CT) and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) are useful to confirm the ultrasound detected abnormality, detection of complex malformations, demonstration of collecting system and vascular anatomy and more importantly for early detection of complications like renal calculi, infection and malignancies. As CAKUT are one of the leading causes of end stage renal disease, it is important for the radiologists to be familiar with the varying imaging appearances of CAKUT on US, CT and MRI, thereby helping in prompt diagnosis and optimal management. | Subramaniyan Ramanathan Devendra Kumar Maneesh Khanna Mahmoud Al Heidous Adnan Sheikh Vivek Virmani Yegu Palaniappan | 2016 | World Journal of Radiology2016,8,2: | 13 |
| 2 | Light signaling and UV-B-mediated plant growth regulation^FA显示文摘Light plays an important role in plants' growth and development throughout their life cycle. Plants alter their morphological features in response to light cues of varying intensity and quality. Dedicated photoreceptors help plants to perceive light signals of different wave-lengths. Activated photoreceptors stimulate the down-stream signaling cascades that lead to extensive gene expression changes responsible for physiological and developmental responses. Proteins such as ELONGATED HYPOCOTYL5 (HY5) and CONSTITUTIVELY PHOTO-MORPHOGENIC 1 (COP1) act as important factors which modulate light-regulated gene expression, especially during seedling development. These factors function as central regulatory intermediates not only in red, far-red, and blue light pathways but also in the UV-B signaling pathway. UV-B radiation makes up only a minor fraction of sunlight, yet it imparts many positive and negative effects on plant growth. Studies on UV-B perception, signaling, and response in plants has considerably surged in recent times. Plants have developed different strat-egies to use UV-B as a developmental cue as well as to withstand high doses of UV-B radiation. Plants' re-sponses to UV-B are an integration of its cross-talks with both environmental factors and phytohormones. This review outlines the current developments in light sig-naling with a major focus on UV-B-mediated plant growth regulation. | Arpita Yadav Deeksha Singh Maneesh Lingwan Premachandran Yadukrishnan Shyam Kumar Masakapalli Sourav Datta | 2020 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2020,62,9: | 6 |

| 4 | GDF15 promotes prostate cancer bone metastasis and colonization through osteoblastic CCL2 and RANKL activation显示文摘Bone metastases occur in patients with advanced-stage prostate cancer(PCa). The cell-cell interaction between PCa and the bone microenvironment forms a vicious cycle that modulates the bone microenvironment, increases bone deformities, and drives tumor growth in the bone. However, the molecular mechanisms of PCa-mediated modulation of the bone microenvironment are complex and remain poorly defined. Here, we evaluated growth differentiation factor-15(GDF15) function using in vivo preclinical PCa-bone metastasis mouse models and an in vitro bone cell coculture system. Our results suggest that PCa-secreted GDF15 promotes bone metastases and induces bone microarchitectural alterations in a preclinical xenograft model. Mechanistic studies revealed that GDF15 increases osteoblast function and facilitates the growth of PCa in bone by activating osteoclastogenesis through osteoblastic production of CCL2 and RANKL and recruitment of osteomacs. Altogether, our findings demonstrate the critical role of GDF15 in the modulation of the bone microenvironment and subsequent development of PCa bone metastasis. | Jawed Akhtar Siddiqui Parthasarathy Seshacharyulu Sakthivel Muniyan Ramesh Pothuraju Parvez Khan Raghupathy Vengoji Sanjib Chaudhary Shailendra Kumar Maurya Subodh Mukund Lele Maneesh Jain Kaustubh Datta Mohd Wasim Nasser Surinder Kumar Batra | 2022 | Bone Research2022,10,1: | 2 |

| 7 | Mesalamine induced symptom exacerbation of ulcerative colitis: Case report and brief discussion显示文摘This paper describes a rare case in which the oral ad-ministration of mesalamine resulted in the exacerbation of ulcerative colitis (UC) in a patient who was previously responsive to mesalamine and whose colitis had been in remission for eight years. Mesalamine and other 5-ami-nosalicylic acid compounds are the mainstay of treatment for UC; however up to 8% of patients are unable to take the medications due to intolerance or hypersensitivity reactions. Common drug reactions are fever, nausea, di-arrhea and abdominal pain; however, exacerbation of UC has rarely been reported. This study highlights the impor-tance of ruling out mesalamine as the causative agent in cases of UC exacerbations. | Maneesh Kumar Gupta Scott Pollack John J Hutchings | 2010 | World Journal of Gastrointestinal Pharmacology and Therapeutics2010,1,6: | 1 |
