| 1 | Polydopamine-mediated graphene oxide and nanohydroxyapatite-incorporated conductive scaffold with an immunomodulatory ability accelerates periodontal bone regeneration in diabetes显示文摘Regenerating periodontal bone tissues in the aggravated inflammatory periodontal microenvironment under diabetic conditions is a great challenge.Here,a polydopamine-mediated graphene oxide(PGO)and hydroxyapatite nanoparticle(PHA)-incorporated conductive alginate/gelatin(AG)scaffold is developed to accelerate periodontal bone regeneration by modulating the diabetic inflammatory microenvironment.PHA confers the scaffold with osteoinductivity and PGO provides a conductive pathway for the scaffold.The conductive scaffold promotes bone regeneration by transferring endogenous electrical signals to cells and activating Ca2+channels.Moreover,the scaffold with polydopamine-mediated nanomaterials has a reactive oxygen species(ROS)-scavenging ability and anti-inflammatory activity.It also exhibits an immunomodulatory ability that suppresses M1 macrophage polarization and activates M2 macrophages to secrete osteogenesis-related cytokines by mediating glycolytic and RhoA/ROCK pathways in macrophages.The scaffold induces excellent bone regeneration in periodontal bone defects of diabetic rats because of the synergistic effects of good conductive,ROS-scavenging,anti-inflammatory,and immunomodulatory abilities.This study provides fundamental insights into the synergistical effects of conductivity,osteoinductivity,and immunomodulatory abilities on bone regeneration and offers a novel strategy to design immunomodulatory biomaterials for treatment of immune-related diseases and tissue regeneration. | Yazhen Li Lu Yang Yue Hou Zhenzhen Zhang Miao Chen Maoxia Wang Jin Liu Jun Wang Zhihe Zhao Chaoming Xie Xiong Lu | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,12: | 3 |
| 2 | Circle Detection Based on HSI Color Space显示文摘A method based on HSI color space is presented to solve the problem of circle detection from color images. In terms of the evaluation to the edge detection method based on intensity, the edge detection based on hue is chosen to process the color image, and the simplified calculation of hue transform is discussed. Then the algorithm of circle detection based on Canny edge detection is proposed. | 4 | Unravelling the effects of complexation of transition metal ions on the hydroxylation of catechol over the whole pH region显示文摘Catechol pollutants(CATPs)serving as chelating agents could coordinate with many metal ions to form various CATPs-metal complexes.Little information is available on the effects of complexation of metal ions on CATPs degradation.This work presents a systematical study of·OH-mediated degradation of catechol and catechol-metal complexes over the whole pH range in advanced oxidation processes(AOPs).Results show that the pH-dependent complexation of metal ions(Zn^(2+),Cu^(2+),Ti^(4+)and Fe^(3+))promotes the deprotonation of catechol under neutral and even acidic conditions.The radical adduct formation(RAF)reactions are both thermodynamically and kinetically favorable for all dissociation and complexa-tion species,and-OH/-O-group-containing C positions are more vulnerable to·OH attack.The kinetic results show that the complexation of the four metal ions offers a wide pH range of effectiveness for catechol degradation.At pH 7,the apparent rate constant(k_(app))values for different systems follow the order of catechol+Ti^(4+)≈catechol+Zn^(2+)>catechol+Cu^(2+)>catechol+Fe^(3+)>catechol.The mechanistic and kinetic results would greatly improve our understanding of the degradation of CATPs-metal and other organics-metal complexes in AOPs.The toxicity assessment indicates that the·OH-based AOPs have the ability for decreasing the toxicity and increasing the biodegradability during the processes of catechol degradation. | Zexiu An Jianfei Sun Qiong Mei BoWei Mingxue Li Ju Xie Maoxia He Qiao Wang | 2022 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,5: | 1 |

| 7 | E-commerce and Consumption Inequality in China显示文摘Consumption inequality may impede economic development and hinder the achievement of common prosperity.Using three waves of the China Family Panel Studies from 2014 to 2018,this paper investigated the impact of e-commerce on consumption inequality,as measured by the Kakwani index.The results indicate that e-commerce can reduce household consumption inequality.A mechanism analysis shows that e-commerce can narrow household income inequality,increase the purchasing power of low-income households,and promote the consumption of households with limited access to ofline markets,thereby reducing the consumption gap.A heterogeneity analysis suggests that the positive role of e-commerce in reducing consumption inequality can be more significant among vulnerable households,such as households with elderly members and less-educated households.E-commerce can have varying impacts on consumption inequality across different subcategories of household expenditure,with the greatest impact seen in entertainment and education expenditure.These findings provide new evidence for the role of e-commerce in reducing consumption inequality in the digital economy,and the implications of this are discussed. | Zhou Jiang Maoxia Zeng Mingming Shi | 2023 | China & World Economy2023,31,5: | 0 |
| 8 | Atmospheric fate of typical liquid crystal monomers in the tropospheric gas,liquid,and granular phases显示文摘Mineral aerosol particles significantly impact environmental risk prediction of liquid crystal monomers(LCMs).In this work,we investigated the reaction mechanisms and kinetics of three typical LCMs(4-cyano-3,5-difluorophenyl 4-ethylbenzoate(CEB-2F),4-cyano-3-fluorophenyl 4-ethylbenzoate(CEB-F),and 4-cyanophenyl 4-ethylbenzoate(CEB))with ozone(O_(3))in the atmospheric gas,liquid,and particle phases employing density functional theory(DFT).Here,O_(3)is prone to add to the benzene ring without F atom(s)in the selected LCMs.The ozonolysis products are aldehydes,carboxylic acids,epoxides,and unsaturated hydrocarbons containing aromatic rings.Those products undergo secondary ozonolysis to generate small molecular compounds such as glyoxal,which is beneficial for generating secondary organic aerosol(SOA).Titanium dioxide(TiO_(2)),an essential component of mineral aerosol particles,has good adsorption properties for LCMs;however,it slightly reduces the reactivity with O_(3).At 298 K,the reaction rate constant of the selected LCMs reacting with O_(3)in the gas and atmospheric liquid phases is(2.74–5.53)×10^(-24)cm^(3)/(mol·sec)and 5.58×10^(-3)–39.1 L/(mol·sec),while CEB-2F reacting with O_(3)on(TiO_(2))_(6)cluster is 1.84×10^(-24)cm^(3)/(mol·sec).The existence of TiO_(2)clusters increases the persistence and long-distance transportability of LCMs,which enlarges the contaminated area of LCMs. | Yanru Huo Zexiu An Mingxue Li Jinchan Jiang Yuxin Zhou Ju Xie Jianguo Zhang Maoxia He | 2024 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2024,,2: | 0 |
| 9 | Preliminary Study on the Treatment Efficiency of Pasteurized Lime Thermal Alkaline Hydrolysis for Excess Activated Sludge and Reduction of Tetracycline Resistance Genes显示文摘Thermal alkaline hydrolysis is a common pretreatment method for the utilization of excess activated sludge(EAS).Owing to strict environment laws and need for better energy utilization,new methods were developed in this study to improve the efficiency of pretreatment method.Direct thermal hydrolysis(TH),pasteurized thermal hydrolysis(PTH),and alkaline pasteurized thermal hydrolysis(PTH+CaO and PTH+NaOH)methods were used to treat EAS.Each method was compared and analyzed in terms of dissolution in ammonium nitrogen(NH_(4)^(+)-N)and soluble COD(SCOD)in EAS.Furthermore,the removal of tetracycline resistance genes(TRGs)and class 1 transposon gene intI1 from EAS was investigated.The NH_(4)^(+)-N and SCOD concentrations in EAS treated by PTH were 1.24 and 2.58 times higher than those of TH.However,the removal efficiency of total TRGs and intI1 between the groups was comparable.The SCOD concentration of the PTH+NaOH group was 4.37 times higher than that of the PTH group,and the removal efficiency of total TRGs was increased by 9.52%compared with that by PTH.The NH_(4)^(+)-N and SCOD concentrations of the PTH+CaO group could reach 85.04%and 92.14%of the PTH+NaOH group,but the removal efficiency of total TRGs by PTH+CaO was 19.78%lower than that by PTH+NaOH.Thus,to reduce the financial cost in actual operation,lime(CaO)can be used instead of a strong alkali(NaOH),and pasteurized steam at 70℃ instead of conventional high-temperature heating to treat EAS.This study provides a reference for the development of alkaline hydrolysis under moderate temperatures along with the removal of TRGs in EAS. | Maoxia Chen Qixuan Zhou Jiayue Zhang Jiaoyang Li Wei Zhang Huan Liu | 2023 | Journal of Renewable Materials2023,11,10: | 0 |
| 10 | Morphological disruption and visual tuning alterations in the primary visual cortex in glaucoma(DBA/2J)mice显示文摘Glaucoma is a leading cause of irreve rsible blindness wo rldwide,and previous studies have shown that,in addition to affecting the eyes,it also causes abnormalities in the brain.However,it is not yet clear how the primary visual cortex(V1)is altered in glaucoma.This study used DBA/2J mice as a model for spontaneous secondary glaucoma.The aim of the study was to compare the electrophysiological and histomorphological chara cteristics of neurons in the V1between 9-month-old DBA/2J mice and age-matched C57BL/6J mice.We conducted single-unit recordings in the V1 of light-anesthetized mice to measure the visually induced responses,including single-unit spiking and gamma band oscillations.The morphology of layerⅡ/Ⅲneurons was determined by neuronal nuclear antigen staining and Nissl staining of brain tissue sections.Eighty-seven neurons from eight DBA/2J mice and eighty-one neurons from eight C57BL/6J mice were examined.Compared with the C57BL/6J group,V1 neurons in the DBA/2J group exhibited weaker visual tuning and impaired spatial summation.Moreove r,fewer neuro ns were observed in the V1 of DBA/2J mice compared with C57BL/6J mice.These findings suggest that DBA/2J mice have fewer neurons in the VI compared with C57BL/6J mice,and that these neurons have impaired visual tuning.Our findings provide a better understanding of the pathological changes that occur in V1 neuron function and morphology in the DBA/2J mouse model.This study might offer some innovative perspectives regarding the treatment of glaucoma. | Yin Yang Zhaoxi Yang Maoxia Lv Ang Jia Junjun Li Baitao Liao Jing’an Chen Zhengzheng Wu Yi Shi Yang Xia Dezhong Yao Ke Chen | 2024 | Neural Regeneration Research2024,19,1: | 0 |
