1Role of diet and nutrition in inflammatory bowel disease显示文摘Inflammatory bowel diseases(IBDs)are closely linked to nutrition. The latest research indicates that diet and nutrition are significantly involved in the etiopathogenesis of the disease, although their specific role throughout its clinical course still remains unclear. This study reviewed how diet and nutrition are associated with IBD development and management.Even though specific diets have been shown to bring about positive outcomes, there is currently no scientific consensus regarding an appropriate diet that would benefit all IBD patients. We suggest that individualized dietary recommendations are of the greatest importance and that diets should be planned to provide individual IBD patients with specific nutrient requirements while keeping all the clinical aspects of the patients in mind.Further research is clearly necessary to investigate nutritional factors involved in IBD development and, especially,to evaluate the applications of the diets during the course of the disease.Marina Moreira de Castro Lívia Bitencourt Pascoal Karine Mariane Steigleder Beatriz Piatezzi Siqueira Ligiana Pires Corona Maria de Lourdes Setsuko Ayrizono Marciane Milanski Raquel Franco Leal 2021World Journal of Experimental Medicine2021,11,1:2

8Gravitational waves from dark first order phase transitions and dark photons显示文摘Cold Dark Matter particles may interact with ordinary particles through a dark photon, which acquires a mass thanks to a spontaneous symmetry breaking mechanism. We discuss a dark photon model in which the scalar singlet associated to the spontaneous symmetry breaking has an effective potential that induces a first order phase transition in the early Universe. Such a scenario provides a rich phenomenology for electron-positron colliders and gravitational waves interferometers, and may be tested in several different channels. The hidden first order phase transition implies the emission of gravitational waves signals, which may constrain the dark photon's space of parameters. Compared limits from electron-positron colliders, astrophysics, cosmology and future gravitational waves interferometers such as eLISA, U-DECIGO and BBO are discussed. This highly motivates a cross-checking strategy of data arising from experiments dedicated to gravitational waves, meson factories, the International Linear Collider(ILC), the Circular Electron Positron Collider(CEPC) and other underground direct detection experiments of cold dark matter candidates.Andrea Addazi Antonino Marcianò 2018Chinese Physics C2018,42,2:1
9Prebiotics in non-dairy products:Technological and physiological functionality, challenges, and perspectives显示文摘Vegan consumers look for fresh, tasty, and nutritious products that use eco/animal-friendly ingredients.Prebiotics are substrates selectively utilized by host microorganisms conferring a health benefit. This study aimed to overview the potentially vegan products added with prebiotics, their health benefits, and the main technological and sensory challenges. The main potentially vegan products added with prebiotics studied were based on water-soluble plant-based extracts(fermented beverages, frozen desserts, cheese analog),fruits(fruit juices, fruit jelly, and ready to eat fruits),and cereals(snack bars, granola bars, bread, and cookies). The main prebiotic compounds used were inulin, fructooligosaccharides, oligofructose, polydextrose, and xylooligosaccharides. The effects of prebiotic on food products’,host health, and technological and sensory properties depended on the prebiotic type and dosage, food matrix, and subject type. The positive health effects were related to skin health, gut microbiota improvement, hypocholesterolemic impact, reduction of the risk of metabolic diseases, and improvements in postprandial blood glucose and insulin response.Prebiotics could improve vegan products’technological and sensory properties, such as fermentation time, texture and rheological properties, storage length, sensory acceptance, and probiotic survival.Furthermore, they could increase the concentration and/or bioaccessibility of phenolic compounds and vitamins. However,it is of paramount importance the determination of prebiotic stability. The trends direct to new prebiotic compounds based on microalgae, fruit and cereal by-products,and seeds. This review provides industries and researchers with important information about prebiotics and vegan products.Tatiana Colombo Pimentel Bianca Beatriz Torres de Assis Caique dos Santos Rocha Vanessa Aparecida Marcolino Michele Rosset Marciane Magnani 2022Food Bioscience2022,46,2:1

18Limiting majoron self-interactions from gravitational wave experiments显示文摘We show how majoron models may be tested/limited in gravitational wave experiments. In particular, the majoron self-interaction potential may induce a first order phase transition, producing gravitational waves from bubble collisions. We dub such a new scenario the violent majoron model, because it would be associated with a violent phase transition in the early Universe. Sphaleron constraints can be avoided if the global U(1)_(B-L) is broken at scales lower than the electroweak scale, provided that the B-L spontaneously breaking scale is lower than10 TeV in order to satisfy the cosmological mass density bound. The possibility of a sub-electroweak phase transition is practically unconstrained by cosmological bounds and it may be detected within the sensitivity of the next generation of gravitational wave experiments: eLISA, DECIGO and BBO. We also comment on its possible detection in the next generation of electron-positron colliders, where majoron production can be observed from the Higgs portals in missing transverse energy channels.Andrea Addazi Antonino Marcianò 2018Chinese Physics C2018,42,2:0
19Time-crystal ground state and production of gravitational waves from QCD phase transition显示文摘We propose a novel mechanism for the production of gravitational waves in the early Universe that originates from the relaxation processes induced by the QCD phase transition. While the energy density of the quark-gluon mean-field is monotonously decaying in real time, its pressure undergoes a series of violent oscillations at the characteristic QCD time scales that generate a primordial multi-peaked gravitational waves signal in the radio frequencies’ domain. The signal is an echo of the QCD phase transition that is accessible by planned measurements at the FAST and SKA telescopes.Andrea Addazi Antonino Marcianò Roman Pasechnik 2019Chinese Physics C2019,43,6:0
20New translational and experimental insights into the role of proresolving lipid mediators in inflammatory bowel disease显示文摘The resolution of inflammation is an active process, guided by specialized proresolution lipid mediators(SPMs).These mediators originate from polyunsaturated fatty acids, such as omega-3.Sufficient evidence suggests that the beneficial effects attributed to omega-3 are,at least in part, the result of the immunomodulatory action of the SPMs,which act systemically by overcoming inflammation and repairing tissue damage, without suppressing the immune response.Recent studies suggest that an imbalance in the synthesis and/or activity of these compounds may be associated with the pathogenesis of several inflammatory conditions, such as inflammatory bowel disease(IBD).Thus, this review highlights the advances made in recent years with regard to the endogenous synthesis and the biological role of lipoxins, resolvins, protectins, and maresins,as well as their precursors,in the regulation of inflammation;and provides an update on the participation of these mediators in the development and evolution of IBD and the therapeutic approaches that these immunomodulating substances are involved in this context.Lívia Bitencourt Pascoal Bruna Biazon Palma Fabio Henrique Mendonça Chaim Marina Moreira de Castro Tiago Andrade Damázio Ana Paula Menezes de Freitas Franceschini Marciane Milanski Lício AugustoVelloso Raquel Franco Leal 2022World Journal of Experimental Medicine2022,12,1:0
