| 2 | The Status quaestionis of Whiteheadian Research in Brazil显示文摘This paper is a survey of papers,which constitutes a chronological mapping of Brazilian research in theses and dissertations about Whitehead or in dialogue with Process Thought,with an emphasis on works written in the Portuguese language since the 1980s.It is divided into three groups:(1)theses and dissertations restricted to Whitehead and Process Thought and(2)those studies done in dialogue with Alfred North Whitehead and Process Thought.(3)The third section introduces a non-exhaustive list regarding ongoing studies,which were begun prior to the 12th International Whitehead Conference that took place in Brazil in August of 2019.The digital databases consulted were:1)Lattes Platform-CNPQ^1;2)Sucupira Platform-CAPES/MEC2;3)Contemporary Ontology(research group on ANPOF3;4)Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations from IBICT4;5)Theses and Dissertations catalogue CAPES/MEC;6)Digital databases from specific universities.The researches listed are restricted to scholarly research done by Brazilian researchers inside the country or in foreign universities.The descriptive paragraphs were compiled from the abstracts written by their own authors.We did not use ellipses or quotation marks in these cases. | Lilia Dias Marianno | 2020 | Journal of Philosophy Study2020，10，2： | 0 |
| 3 | Modeling minimum detectable activity as a function of detector speed显示文摘Purpose A radiation detector’s sensitivity is important when designing survey plans.A measure of sensitivity is minimum detectable activity(MDA)which is the lowest amount of activity required for a signal to be distinguished above background.It has been known for some time that the efficiency of a moving detector can be improved by slowing the speed of travel.The Multi-Agency Radiation Survey and Site Investigation Manual describes but does not quantify this effect.Decreased efficiency at higher speeds results in higher MDAs and thus less sensitive detectors.The purpose of this research is to specifically define the relationship between detector MDA and speed.Methods Python was employed to calculate solid angle from equations developed by Masket and MCNP6.1 simulations were used to determine detection efficiency for a moving detector.Using these results efficiency as a function of detector travel speed was fit to a modified four-parameter logistic function(M4PL).Results The result of this work is a well defined relationship that can be used to predict MDA as a function of speed.The relationship can also be used by operators to determine the optimum speed needed to meet a predefined MDA.Conclusion Understanding this relationship between detector speed and efficiency will improve detector performance in remediation efforts and national security search operations.The M4PL function developed in this research allows optimizing remediation and wide-area radiation survey activities by setting maximum survey speed to meet a predetermined MDA. | James Falkner Craig Marianno | 2019 | Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2019，3，3： | 0 |
| 4 | Blue LED as a new treatment to vaginal stenosis due pelvic radiotherapy:Two case reports显示文摘BACKGROUND Currently,the advancement cancer treatment technology improves overall survival,however,adverse events are still a challenge for health professional.Genitourinary syndrome of menopause and vaginal stenosis are conditions that impact the quality of life of patients undergoing radiotherapy.We present two such cases in patients with previous cervical and endometrial cancer.These conditions were handled with an innovative method using an energy-based device with blue light emitting diode for concomitant vaginal and vulvar irradiation.Positive impact in clinical findings,cytologic changes,and referred symptoms were documented.CASE SUMMARY One patient diagnosed with vaginal severe vaginal stenosis with previous cervix cancer treatment and other patient diagnosed with mild stenosis with severe dyspareunia and recent endometrium cancer treatment were considered for vulvovaginal treatment with weekly blue led device and closely evaluated with repeated validated questionnaires and cytological samples.CONCLUSION This innovative technique showed an improvement in all areas of the examiner's criteria,the cytological criteria,and most bothered symptoms. | Daniela Barros Cecília Alvares Teresa Alencar Priscila Baqueiro Augusto Marianno Rafael Alves Juliana Lenzi Laura Ferreira Rezende Patricia Lordelo | 2021 | World Journal of Clinical Cases2021，9，23： | 0 |
