| 1 | Factors Associated with Thrombolysis Outcome in Ischemic Stroke Patients with Atrial Fibrillation显示文摘The outcome of early intravenous thrombolysis for ischemic stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation(AF)is worse than that without thrombosis. How to increase the efficacy of intravenous thrombolysis for AF-related ischemic stroke remains largely unknown. In this study, we investigated factors that influence the effect of intravenous thrombolysis in these patients. Our results showed that thrombolysis was independently associated with a favorable outcome(P \ 0.001) and did not influence the mortality of AF-related ischemic stroke, although it increased the risk of hemorrhage within 24 h after treatment. Risk factors for a poor outcome at admission were:heart failure(P = 0.045); high systolic pressure(P = 0.039); high blood glucose(P = 0.030); and a high National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS) score(P \ 0.001). Moreover, high systolic pressure at admission(P = 0.007), high blood glucose(P = 0.027), and a high NIHSS score(P \ 0.001) were independent risk factors for mortality at 3 months. Besides thrombolysis, a high NIHSS score(P = 0.006) and warfarin taken within 48 h before stroke onset(P = 0.032) were also independent risk factors for symptomatic hemorrhage within 24 h after treatment. | 2 | Electroacupuncture reduces injury to the blood-brain barrier following cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury显示文摘This study used electroacupuncture at Renzhong (DU26) and Baihui (DU20) in a rat model of cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury. Neurological deficit scores, western blotting, and reverse transcription-PCR results demonstrated that electroacupuncture markedly reduced neurological deficits, decreased corpus striatum aquaporin-4 protein and mRNA expression, and relieved damage to the blood-brain barrier in a rat model of cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury. | 5 | Identification of microRNAs regulating grain filling of rice inferior spikelets in response to moderate soil drying post-anthesis显示文摘The grain filling of inferior spikelets is much less complete than that of superior spikelets in rice cultivars with large panicles and numerous spikelets and is promoted by moderate soil drying(MD)post-anthesis.A growing body of evidence has shown that microRNAs function in regulating grain development.However,little is known about the mechanism of microRNA control of grain filling of inferior spikelets in response to MD.In this study,grain filling of inferior spikelets was promoted by MD treatment in Nipponbare.Small-RNA profiling at the most active grain-filling stage was conducted in inferior spikelets under control(CK)and MD treatment.Of 521 known and 128 novel miRNAs,38 known and 9 novel miRNAs were differentially expressed between the CK and MD treatments.Target genes of differentially expressed miRNAs were involved in multiple developmental and signaling pathways associated with catalytic activity,carbohydrate metabolism,and other functions.Both miR1861 and miR397 were upregulated by MD,leading to a decrease in OsSBDCP1 and OsLAC,two negative regulators of SSIIIa activity and BR signaling,respectively.In contrast,miR1432 abundance was reduced by MD,resulting in upregulation of OsACOT and thus an elevated content of both ABA and IAA.These results suggest that both starch synthesis and phytohormone biosynthesis are regulated by differentially expressed miRNAs in inferior spikelets in response to MD treatment.Our results suggest the molecular mechanisms by which miRNAs regulate grain filling in inferior spikelets of rice under moderate soil drying,providing potential application in agriculture to increase rice yields by genetic approaches. | Zhenning Teng Yinke Chen Youqing Yuan Yaqiong Peng Yake Yi Huihui Yu Zhenxie Yi Jianchang Yang Yan Peng Meijuan Duan Jianhua Zhang Nenghui Ye | 2022 | The Crop Journal2022,10,4: | 1 |

| 7 | Promoted surface charge density from interlayer Zn–N_(4) configuration in carbon nitride for enhanced CO_(2) photoreduction显示文摘The solar-driven reduction of CO_(2) into valuable products is a promising method to alleviate global environmental problems and energy crises.However,the low surface charge density limits the photocatalytic conversion performance of CO_(2).Herein,a polymeric carbon nitride(PCN)photocatalyst with Zn single atoms(Zn1/CN)was designed and synthesized for CO_(2) photoreduction.The results of the CO_(2) photoreduction studies show that the CO and CH_(4) yields of Zn1/CN increased fivefold,reaching 76.9 and 22.9μmol/(g·h),respectively,in contrast to the unmodified PCN.Ar+plasma-etched X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and synchrotron radiation-based X-ray absorption fine structure results reveal that Zn single atom is mainly present in the interlayer space of PCN in the Zn–N_(4) configuration.Photoelectrochemical characterizations indicate that the interlayer Zn–N_(4) configuration can amplify light absorption and establish an interlayer charge transfer channel.Light-assisted Kelvin probe force microscopy confirms that more photogenerated electrons are delivered to the catalyst surface through interlayer Zn–N_(4) configuration,which increases its surface charge density.Further,in-situ infrared spectroscopy combined with density functional theory calculation reveals that promoted surface charge density accelerates key intermediates(*COOH)conversion,thus achieving efficient CO_(2) conversion.This work elucidates the role of internal single atoms in catalytic surface reactions,which provides important implications for the design of single-atom catalysts. | Xianjin Shi Yu Huang Gangqiang Zhu Wei Peng Meijuan Chen | 2024 | Nano Research2024,17,4: | 0 |
