1Analysis of status and countermeasures of cancer incidence and mortality in China显示文摘Cancer is the leading cause of human deaths in the world and produces serious economic burdens. On September 12, 2018, the academic journal A Cancer Journal for Clinicians published an article about the latest statistics of cancers worldwide, which provided a status report on the global burden of 36 cancers in 185 countries worldwide. Cancer has also become a serious public health problem in China and caused more and more attention of the government and people in recent years. 3Aqueous Self-Assembly of Block Copolymers to Form Manganese Oxide-Based Polymeric Vesicles for Tumor Microenvironment-Activated Drug Delivery显示文摘Molecular self-assembly is crucially fundamental to nature.However,the aqueous self-assembly of polymers is still a challenge.To achieve self-assembly of block copolymers [(polyacrylic acid-block-polyethylene glycol-block-polyacrylic acid(PAA68-b-PEG86-b-PAA68)] in an aqueous phase,manganese oxide(MnO2) is first generated to drive phase separation of the PAA block to form the PAA68-b-PEG68-b-PAA68/MnO2 polymeric assembly that exhibits a stable structure in a physiological medium.The polymeric assembly exhibits vesicular morphology with a diameter of approximately 30 nm and high doxorubicin(DOX) loading capacity of approximately 94%.The transformation from MnO2 to Mn2+caused by endogenous glutathione(GSH)facilitates the disassembly of PAA68-b-PEG68-b-PAA68/MnO2 to enable its drug delivery at the tumor sites.The toxicity of DOXloaded PAA68-b-PEG68-b-PAA69/MnO2 to tumor cells has been verified in vitro and in vivo.Notably,drug-loaded polymeric vesicles have been demonstrated,especially in in vivo studies,to overcome the cardiotoxicity of DOX.We expect this work to encourage the potential application of polymer self-assembly.Yalei Miao Yudian Qiu Mengna Zhang Ke Yan Panke Zhang Siyu Lu Zhongyi Liu Xiaojing Shi Xubo Zhao 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,9:2

6A unique subseafloor microbiosphere in the Mariana Trench driven by episodic sedimentation显示文摘Hadal trenches are characterized by enhanced and infrequent high-rate episodic sedimentation events that likely introduce not only labile organic carbon and key nutrients but also new microbes that significantly alter the subseafloor microbiosphere.Currently,the role of high-rate episodic sedimentation in controlling the composition of the hadal subseafloor microbiosphere is unknown.Here,analyses of carbon isotope composition in a~750 cm long sediment core from the Challenger Deep revealed noncontinuous deposition,with anomalous ^(14)C ages likely caused by seismically driven mass transport and the funneling effect of trench geomorphology.Microbial community composition and diverse enzyme activities in the upper~27 cm differed from those at lower depths,probably due to sudden sediment deposition and differences in redox condition and organic matter availability.At lower depths,microbial population numbers,and composition remained relatively constant,except at some discrete depths with altered enzyme activity and microbial phyla abundance,possibly due to additional sudden sedimentation events of different magnitude.Evidence is provided of a unique role for high-rate episodic sedimentation events in controlling the subsurface microbiosphere in Earth’s deepest ocean floor and highlight the need to perform thorough analysis over a large depth range to characterize hadal benthic populations.Such depositional processes are likely crucial in shaping deep-water geochemical environments and thereby the deep subseafloor biosphere.Jiwen Liu Da-Wei Li Xinxin He Ronghua Liu Haojin Cheng Chenglong Su Mengna Chen Yonghong Wang Zhongsheng Zhao Hanyue Xu Zhangyu Cheng Zicheng Wang Nikolai Pedentchouk David J.Lea-Smith Jonathan D.Todd Xiaoshou Liu Meixun Zhao Xiao-Hua Zhang 2024Marine Life Science & Technology2024,6,1:0
7Highly efficient quantum dot light-emitting diodes with the utilization of an organic emission layer显示文摘The relative balance of electron and hole injection is crucial for the achievement of highly efficient quantum dot(QD)lightemitting diodes(QLEDs).Here,an inverted red QLED with the utilization of an organic emitting layer(EML)was obtained,exhibiting peak current efficiency(CE)and external quantum efficiency(EQE)of 25.63 cd/A and 23.20%,respectively.In the proposed device,the organic EML,which is a blend of fac-tris(2-phenylpyridine)iridium(Ir(ppy)_(3))and 4,4’-bis(N-carbazolyl)-1,1’-biphenyl(CBP),works as an exciton harvester to capture the leaked electrons from QD layer and the injected holes from hole transporting layer(HTL),then affording energy transfer from organic EML to the adjacent QD layer so that the emission of QD is enhanced significantly.At the same time,according to the results of hole-only and electron-only devices,the insertion of organic EML promotes the hole injection,and eliminates excess electrons from QD to HTL,thus leading to a better match of hole and electron injection in the device.On the basis of the above benefits,the optimal QLED with a 10 nm organic EML offered~2-fold improvements of CE and EQE,respectively,relative to the control device.Furthermore,a better operational lifetime of QLEDs based on the organic EML was achieved.Yang Li Dejiang Zhao Wei Huang Zhiqiang Jiao Lu Wang Qingyu Huang Peng Wang Mengna Sun Guangcai Yuan 2023Nano Research2023,16,7:0
8Key microRNAs and target genes involved in regulating maturation in Lilium显示文摘Lilium is an ornamental bulb with a long juvenile stage,making its cultivation under natural conditions lengthy and costly.SQUAMOSA promoterbinding protein-like(SPL)transcription factors are related to plant growth and development,including phase transition.However,their role in phase transition in Lilium is not known.To explore the molecular mechanisms associated with the phase transition in Lilium,bulbs of Lilium Oriental Trumpet'Robina'were treated with lowered temperature to induce phase transition,and the small RNA and degradome were sequenced.A total of 161 miRNAs were identified as targets.Twenty-nine known miRNAs were differentially expressed,including 16 upregulated miRNAs and 13 down-regulated miRNAs.Lbr-miR156a was significantly down-regulated,and the target genes of Lbr-miR156a were identified as LbrSPL3 and LbrSPL16.Phylogenetic analysis showed that LbrSPL3 and LbrSPL16 had high homology with other plant SPLs.Subcellular localization and transcriptional activation experiments confirmed that LbrSPL3 and LbrSPL16 were mainly located in the nucleus and had transcriptional activity.The in situ hybridization results showed that the expression of LbrSPL3 and LbrSPL16 was increased following low-temperature treatment.Functional verification experiments of Arabidopsis transgenic plants showed that the overexpression of LbrSPL3 and LbrSPL16 could promote plant phase change,while the overexpression of Lbr-miR156a could inhibit this process.These results help elucidate the mechanism of phase transition regulation in Lilium and provide a reference for breeding research in other bulbous flowers.Yao Chen Mengna Zhao Xiaoshan Wang Jinteng Cui Wei Ge Kezhong Zhang 2022Ornamental Plant Research2022,2,1:0
9Gas expansion caused by formation uplifting and its effects on tight gas accumulation:A case study of Sulige gas field in Ordos Basin,NW China显示文摘Gas expansion caused by significant exhumation in the Sulige gas field in the Ordos Basin since Late Cretaceous and its effects on hydrocarbon accumulation have been investigated systematically based on comprehensive analysis of geochemical,fluid inclusion and production data.The results indicate that gas volume expansion since the Late Cretaceous was the driving force for adjustment and secondary charging of tight sandstone gas reservoirs in the Sulige gas field of the Ordos Basin.The gas retained in the source rocks expanded in volume,resulting in gas re-expulsion,migration and secondary charging into reservoirs,while the gas volume expansion in the tight reservoirs caused the increase of gas saturation,gas-bearing area and gas column height,which worked together to increase the gas content of the reservoir and bring about large-scale gas accumulation events.The Sulige gas field had experienced a two-stage accumulation process,burial before the end of Early Cretaceous and uplifting since the Late Cretaceous.In the burial stage,natural gas was driven by hydrocarbon generation overpressure to migrate and accumulate,while in the uplifting stage,the gas volume expansion drove internal adjustment inside gas reservoirs and secondary charging to form new reservoirs.On the whole,the gas reservoir adjustment and secondary charging during uplifting stage is more significant in the eastern gas field than that in the west,which is favorable for forming gas-rich area.LI Jun ZHAO Jingzhou WEI Xinshan SHANG Xiaoqing WU Weitao WU Heyuan CHEN Mengna 2022Petroleum Exploration and Development2022,49,6:0
