| 1 | Content Addressable Storage Optimization for Desktop Virtualization Based Disaster Backup Storage System显示文摘This paper proposes a content addressable storage optimization method, VDeskCAS, for desktop virtualization storage based disaster backup storage system. The method implements a block-level storage optimization, by employing the algorithms of chunking image file into blocks, the block-finger calculation and the block deduplication. A File system in Use Space (FUSE) based storage process for VDeskCAS is also introduced which optimizes current direct storage to suit our content addressable storage. An interface level modification makes our system easy to extend. | 4 | EDOA: an efficient delay optimization approach for mixed-polarity Reed-Muller logic circuits under the unit delay model显示文摘Delay optimization has recently attracted signif-icant attention. However, few studies have focused on the delay optimization of mixed-polarity Reed-Muller (MPRM) logic circuits. In this paper, we propose an efficient delay op-timization approach (EDOA) for MPRM logic circuits under the unit delay model, which can derive an optimal MPRM logic circuit with minimum delay. First, the simplest MPRM expression with the fewest number of product terms is ob-tained using a novel Reed-Muller expression simplification approach (RMESA) considering don't-care terms. Second, a minimum delay decomposition approach based on a Huffman tree construction algorithm is utilized on the simplest MPRM expression. Experimental results on MCNC benchmark cir-cuits demonstrate that compared to the Berkeley SIS 1.2 and ABC, the EDOA can significantly reduce delay for most cir-cuits. | 7 | An Experimental Study on the Expression of Heme Oxygenase-2 mRNA in Hirschsprung's Disease显示文摘Summary: In order to investigate the relationship between the expression of heme oxygenase-2 (HO-2) mRNA and the pathogenesis of Hirschsprung’s disease (HD), total ribonucleic acid (RNA) was extracted in the aganglionic and ganglionic segments of colon respectively from 15 cases of HD. The single-stranded cDNA of HO-2 was synthesized and further amplified by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). The expression of HO-2 mRNA was normal in ganglionic segments, but absent in aganglionic segments. Correlation analysis and cluster analysis were carried out on their quality traits. [Result] The rice cultivars possessed stable characteristics, which were difficult to be further improved. In addition, their quality traits had extremely complicated relationships, and the differences were significant between different groups. | 9 | Elastic pointer directory organization for scalable shared memory multiprocessors显示文摘In the field of supercomputing, one key issue for scalable sharedmemory multiprocessors is the design of the directory which denotes the sharing state for a cache block. A good directory design intends to achieve three key attributes: reasonable memory overhead, sharer position precision and implementation complexity. However, researchers often face the problem that gaining one attribute may result in losing another. The paper proposes an elastic pointer directory(EPD) structure based on the analysis of sharedmemory applications, taking the fact that the number of sharers for each directory entry is typically small. Analysis results show that for 4 096 nodes, the ratio of memory overhead to the fullmap directory is 2.7%. Theoretical analysis and cycleaccurate executiondriven simulations on a 16 and 64node cache coherence non uniform memory access(CCNUMA) multiprocessor show that the corresponding pointer overflow probability is reduced significantly. The performance is observed to be better than that of a limited pointers directory and almost identical to the fullmap directory, except for the slight implementation complexity. Using the directory cache to explore directory access locality is also studied.
