Micro-organic dust combustion considering particles thermal resistance显示文摘Organic dust flames deal with a field of science in which many complicated phenomena like pyrolysis or devolatization of solid particles and combustion of volatile particles take place. One-dimensional flame propagation in cloud of fuel mixture is analyzed in which flame structure is divided into three zones. The first zone is preheat zone in which rate of the chemical reaction is small and transfer phenomena play significant role in temperature and mass distributions. In this model, it is assumed that particles pyrolyze first to yield a gaseous fuel mixture. The second zone is reaction zone where convection and vaporization rates of the particles are small. The third zone is convection zone where diffusive terms are negligible in comparison of other terms. Non-zero Biot number is used in order to study effect of particles thermal resistance on flame characteristics. Also, effect of particle size on combustion of micro organic dust is investigated. According to obtained results, it is understood that both flame temperature and burning velocity decrease with rise in the Biot number and particle size. | Mohammadamin Soltaninejad Farzad Faraji Dizaji Hossein Beidaghy Dizaji Mehdi Bidabadi | 2015 | Journal of Central South University2015,22,7: | 2

Experiment and numerical simulation of distribution law of waterbased corrosion inhibitor in natural gas gathering and transportation pipeline显示文摘The transmission medium of natural gas gathering and transportation pipelines usually contains cor-rosive gases, which will cause serious corrosion on the inner wall of the pipelines when they coexist with water. Therefore,it is necessary to add corrosion inhibitor to form a protective film to protect the pipeline. The distribution of corrosion inhibitors in a gathering and transportation pipeline in Moxi gas field was studied by combining experiment and simulation. The Pearson function was used to calculate the experimental and simulation results, and the correlation was more than 80%,indicating a high degree of agreement. The simulation results show that:①The larger the pipe angle, filling speed and gas flow rate, the smaller the particle size, the better the distribution of corrosion inhibitor particles in the pipe. The filling amount will affect the concentration, but the distribution trend is unchanged;②A method to determine the filling mode based on the loss was proposed, and for this pipeline, the loss of corrosion inhibitor was determined to be 5.31×10^(-3) kg/s,and the flling amount was recommended to be adjusted to 2o L/h,which has certain guiding significance for the actual flling strategy of pipeline corrosion inhibitor. | En-Bin Liu Hao Tang Yin-Hui Zhang Dang-jian Li Bo Kou Ning Liu Mohammadamin Azimi | 2023 | Petroleum Science2023,20,3: | 0
Shear stress distribution prediction in symmetric compound channels using data mining and machine learning models显示文摘Shear stress distribution prediction in open channels is of utmost importance in hydraulic structural engineering as it directly affects the design of stable channels. In this study,at first,a series of experimental tests were conducted to assess the shear stress distribution in prismatic compound channels. The shear stress values around the whole wetted perimeter were measured in the compound channel with different floodplain widths also in different flow depths in subcritical and supercritical conditions.A set of,data mining and machine learning algorithms including Random Forest(RF),M5P,Random Committee,KStar and Additive Regression implemented on attained data to predict the shear stress distribution in the compound channel. Results indicated among these five models;RF method indicated the most precise results with the highest R2 value of 0.9.Finally,the most powerful data mining method which studied in this research compared with two well-known analytical models of Shiono and Knight method(SKM)and Shannon method to acquire the proposed model functioning in predicting the shear stress distribution. The results showed that the RF model has the best prediction performance compared to SKM and Shannon models. | Zohreh SHEIKH KHOZANI Khabat KHOSRAVI Mohammadamin TORABI Amir MOSAVI Bahram REZAEI Timon RABCZUK | 2020 | Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering2020,14,5: | 0

Risk of permanent medical impairment after road traffic crashes: A systematic review显示文摘Purpose:To systematically review the risk of permanent disability related to road traffic injuries(RTIs)and to determine the implications for future research regarding permanent impairment following road traffic crashes. Methods:We conducted this systematic review according to the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analysis statement. An extended search of the literature was carried out in 4 major electronic databases for scientific research papers published from January 1980 to February 2020.Two teams include 2 reviewers each, screened independently the titles/abstracts,and after that, reviewed the full text of the included studies. The quality of the studies was assessed using the strengthening the reporting of observational studies in epidemiology(STROBE)checklist.A third reviewer was assessed any discrepancy and all data of included studies were extracted. Finally, the data were systematically analyzed, and the related data were interpreted. Results:Five out of 16 studies were evaluated as high-quality according to the STROBE checklist.Fifteen studies ranked the initial injuries according to the abbreviated injury scale 2005.Five studies reported the total risk of permanent medical impairment following RTIs which varied from 2%to 23%for car occupants and 2.8%to 46%for cyclists.Seven studies reported the risk of permanent medical impairment of the different body regions.Eleven studies stated the most common body region to develop permanent impairment,of which 6 studies demonstrated that injuries of the cervical spine and neck were at the highest risk of becoming permanent injured. Conclusion:The finding of this review revealed the necessity of providing a globally validated method to evaluate permanent medical impairment following RTIs across the world. This would facilitate decisionmaking about traffic injuries and efficient management to reduce the financial and psychological burdens for individuals and communities. | Mahla Babaie Mohammadamin Joulani Mohammad Hosein Ranjbar Hameghavandi Mohammad Hossein Asgardoon Marzieh Nojomi Gerard MO'Reilly Morteza Gholami Zahra Ghodsi Vafa Rahimi-Movaghar | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Traumatology2023,26,5: | 0
Assessment of novel nature-inspired fuzzy models for predicting long contraction scouring and related uncertainties显示文摘The scouring phenomenon is one of the major problems experienced in hydraulic engineering. In this study,an adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system is hybridized with several evolutionary approaches, including the ant colony optimization, genetic algorithm,teaching-learning-based optimization,biogeographical-based optimization, and invasive weed optimization for estimating the long contraction scour depth. The proposed hybrid models are built using non-dimensional information collected from previous studies. The proposed hybrid intelligent models are evaluated using several statistical performance metrics and graphical presentations.Besides, the uncertainty of models, variables, and data are inspected.Based on the achieved modeling results, adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system-biogeographic based optimization(ANFIS-BBO)provides superior prediction accuracy compared to others, with a maximum correlation coefficient(R_(test)=0.923)and minimum root mean square error value(RMSE_(test)=0.0193).Thus,the proposed ANFIS-BBO is a capable cost-effective method for predicting long contraction scouring, thus, contributing to the base knowledge of hydraulic structure sustainability. | Ahmad SHARAFATI Masoud HAGHBIN Mohammadamin TORABI Zaher Mundher YASEEN | 2021 | Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering2021,15,3: | 0
