1Engineering an enthesis-like graft for rotator cuff repair:An approach to fabricate highly biomimetic scaffold capable of zone-specifically releasing stem cell differentiation inducers显示文摘Rotator cuff(RC)attaches to humerus across a triphasic yet continuous tissue zones(bone-fibrocartilage-tendon),termed“enthesis”.Regrettably,rapid and functional enthesis regeneration is challenging after RC tear.The existing grafts bioengineered for RC repair are insufficient,as they were engineered by a scaffold that did not mimic normal enthesis in morphology,composition,and tensile property,meanwhile cannot simultaneously stimulate the formation of bone-fibrocartilage-tendon tissues.Herein,an optimized decellularization approach based on a vacuum aspiration device(VAD)was developed to fabricate a book-shaped decellularized enthesis matrix(O-BDEM).Then,three recombinant growth factors(CBP-GFs)capable of binding collagen were synthesized by fusing a collagen-binding peptide(CBP)into the N-terminal of BMP-2,TGF-β3,or GDF-7,and zone-specifically tethered to the collagen of O-BDEM to fabricate a novel scaffold(CBP-GFs/O-BDEM)satisfying the above-mentioned requirements.After ensuring the low immunogenicity of CBP-GFs/O-BDEM by a novel single-cell mass cytometry in a mouse model,we interleaved urine-derived stem cell-sheets into this CBP-GFs/O-BDEM to bioengineer an enthesis-like graft.Its high-performance on regenerating enthesis was determined in a canine model.These findings indicate this CBP-GFs/O-BDEM may be an excellent scaffold for constructing enthesis-like graft to patch large/massive RC tears,and provide breakthroughs in fabricating graded interfacial tissue.Can Chen Qiang Shi Muzhi Li Yang Chen Tao Zhang Yan Xu Yunjie Liao Shulin Ding Zhanwen Wang Xing Li Chunfeng Zhao Lunquan Sun Jianzhong Hu Hongbin Lu 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,10:4
2Cloning and identification of a novel RNF6 transcrip-tional splice variant Spg2 in human development显示文摘RING finger proteins are zinc finger proteins containing the RING motifs. They act mainly as E3 ubiq-uitin ligases, bind the ubiquitin E2 conjugating enzyme and promote degradation of targeted proteins, Many novel genes have been isolated and differentially expressed in human adult and embryo testis by a testis cDNA-array differential display technique. A novel RING finger cDNA is highly expressed in adult testis and at low level in fetal testis. It was named Spg2. It contains a 2055 nucleotide ORF, en-codes a 685-amino-acid RNF6 protein, and has a RING finger in its C terminal. NCBI Blast shows that the gene is located on chromosome 13 and contains five exons. 3Design and analysis of a new high frequency double-servodirect drive rotary valve显示文摘Researchers have investigated direct drivevalve for many years to solve problems, such as fluidforce imbalance and switching frequency. The structure ofthe rotary valve has received considerable research interestbecause of its favorable dynamic properties and simplestructure. This paper studied the high frequency double-servo direct drive rotary valve (DDRV), and proposed anovel structure and drive method satisfying high reversingfrequency and adequate quantity of flow. Servo motors areintegrated into the valve by the innovative structure, whichis designed to equilibrate the unbalanced radial fluid forcewith the symmetric distributed oil ports. Aside from thefast reversing function of the valve, the DDRV presentedhigh performance in linearity of the flow quantity andvalve opening as a result of the fan-shaped flow ports. 4Effect of Image Noise on the Classification of Skin Lesions Using Deep Convolutional Neural Networks显示文摘Skin lesions are in a category of disease that is both common in humans and a major cause of death.The classification accuracy of skin lesions is a crucial determinant of the success rate of curing lethal diseases.Deep Convolutional Neural Networks(CNNs)are now the most prevalent computer algorithms for the purpose of disease classification.As with all algorithms,CNNs are sensitive to noise from imaging devices,which often contaminates the quality of the images that are fed into them.In this paper,a deep CNN(Inception-v3)is used to study the effect of image noise on the classification of skin lesions.Gaussian noise,impulse noise,and noise made up of a compound of the two are added to an image dataset,namely the Dermofit Image Library from the University of Edinburgh.Evaluations,based on t-distributed Stochastic Neighbor Embedding(t-SNE)visualization,Receiver Operating Characteristic(ROC)analysis,and saliency maps,demonstrate the reliability of the Inception-v3 deep CNN in classifying noisy skin lesion images.Xiaoyu Fan Muzhi Dai Chenxi Liu Fan Wu Xiangda Yan Ye Feng Yongqiang Feng Baiquan Su 2020Tsinghua Science and Technology2020,25,3:2

12SrAl_(2)O_(4) crystallite embedded inorganic medium with super-long persistent luminescence,thermoluminescence, and photostimulable luminescence for smart optical information storage显示文摘As a leader of long persistent luminescence(LPL) materials, the optical properties of aluminate phosphor have remained unsurpassed for many years. As a powder material, its practical application will always be limited to the field of security signs. In this paper, the SrAl_(2)O_(4)∶Eu^(2+), Dy^(3+)inorganic solid material with comparable LPL properties to powder materials was obtained. The crystallization mechanism and crystallite micro-morphology of inorganic glass materials have been studied, and a new opinion is put forward that the large-size SrAl_(2)O_(4)crystallites in the glass matrix are stacked by rod-shaped crystals arranged in a regular direction. In addition,the SrAl_(2)O_(4)∶Eu^(2+), Dy^(3+)glass obtained cannot only collect high-energy photons but also is sensitive to lowenergy sunlight. The results show that the material exhibits superior performance in LPL, thermoluminescence,and photostimulable luminescence. Based on this property, a new application of this material in the field of information storage was explored. 13Effects of trace calcium and strontium on microstructure and properties of Cu-Cr alloys显示文摘Cu-0.57Cr-0.01Ca and Cu-0.58Cr-0.01Sr(wt.%)alloys were fabricated and processed by thermo-mechanical treatment.Their mechanical and electrical properties and microstructure were investigated in detail and compared with those of a Cu-0.57Cr(wt.%)alloy.The results showed that the softening resistance of the Cu-Cr alloy was significantly improved by the additions of Ca and Sr elements.Compared with the Cu-Cr alloy,the deformation microstructure of the Cu-Cr-Ca and Cu-Cr-Sr alloys was more difficult to recrystallize at elevated temperatures,and the Cr precipitates in the Cu-Cr-Ca and Cu-Cr-Sr alloys were smaller in size and had an FCC structure at any given aging state.The high strengths of the Cu-Cr-Ca and Cu-Cr-Sr alloys were mainly attributed to the dislocation strengthening provided by high-density dislocations and the precipitate strengthening provided by fine Cr precipitates.First-principles calculation showed that the segregations of Ca and Sr atoms at interface between Cr precipitates and copper matrix were favorable in energetics.This segregation effectively hindered the growth of Cr precipitates and significantly enhanced the pinning effect on the motion of dislocations and subgrain boundaries,eventually leading to the improvement in the softening resistance of the Cu-Cr alloy.Muzhi Ma Zhu Xiao Xiangpeng Meng Zhou Li Shen Gong Jie Dai Hongyun Jiang Yanbin Jiang Qian Lei Haigen Wei 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,17:1
14High-performance all-solution-processed inverted quantum dot light-emitting diodes enabled by water treatment显示文摘All-solution-processed inverted quantum dot(QD)light-emitting diodes(QLEDs)with transparent bottom cathodes can be directly connected to the n-type thin-film transistors,offering a feasible solution for low-cost active matrix-driven QD displays.However,the subsequent solution-deposition of the hole-transporting layer destroys the underneath QD films,resulting in largely deteriorated device performance.Various strategies have been implemented to prevent QD film from dissolution,but all at a heavy cost of device performance suffering from either reduced efficiency or increased driving voltage.Here,a facile and effective water-treatment approach for QD film to fabricate inverted QLEDs through all solution processing is reported.The water treatment substitutes the long-chain oleate ligands with hydroxyl groups,resulting in significantly improved non-polar solvent resistance of the QD films.Importantly,the QD films reserve their excellent photoluminescence efficiency after water treatment.With the water-treated QD film as the emissive layer,all-solution-processed inverted red QLED with a peak external quantum efficiency of 19.6%,a turn-on voltage of 1.8 V,and a T50 operational lifetime of 150,000 h at 100 cd·m^(-2) was achieved.Furthermore,efficient and low-voltage-driven green and blue QLEDs can also be prepared with this method.This work provides a feasible strategy for the fabrication of high-performance all-solution-processed inverted QLEDs,paving the way toward achieving QLEDs by all ink-jet printing.Qianqing Hu Junjie Si Desui Chen Xiaoming Hao Rui Xu Yihang Du Zhuopeng Du Xinquan Gong Hong Zhao Peiqing Cai Qi Ai Xin Yao Yu Yan Zenan Zhang Muzhi Cai Wei Liu Yongyin Kang Zugang Liu 2023Nano Research2023,16,7:0

16Effect of Ti additions on microstructure and mechanical properties of Cu-Cr-Zr alloy显示文摘Ti additions in Cu–Cr–Zr alloys are useful for achieving high mechanical properties.In this work,the influence of Ti contents(0.25 wt%,0.6 wt%,and 1.02 wt%)on the microstructure,mechanical,and electrical properties of Cu–Cr–Zr alloys has been investigated experimentally,along with thermodynamic and kinetic calculations.The electrical conductivity decreased but the hardness/strength increased with increasing Ti content.The lower electrical conductivity is due to increased electron scattering through the solution of more Ti atoms in the Cu matrix.As for the higher hardness/strength,it is mainly owing to higher dislocation density and finer FCC-Cr precipitates.Furthermore,a model considering the size distributions of precipitates is adopted to calculate precipitation strengthening quantitatively.The calculated yield strengths are consistent with the experimental ones for the alloys.The thermodynamic and kinetic calculations reveal that increasing Ti content can facilitate the nucleation of FCC-Cr but enhance its activation energy,hence hindering the growth process.The present work study can provide an effective strategy for producing copper alloys with expected performance.Chenying Shi Muzhi Ma Biaobiao Yang Yuling Liu Yushen Huang Yong Du 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,32:0
