1Comparative stability analyses of traditional and selective room-and-pillar mining techniques for sub-horizontal tungsten veins显示文摘The stability and productivity concerning a modification on the traditional room and pillar for a new selective technique at the Portuguese Panasqueira Mine have been described. The traditional room-and-pillar stoping uses 5.0-m wide rooms with 3.0 m×3.0 m pillars, while the selective room-and-pillar mining technique consists in stoping with rooms of 4.0 m wide and pillars of 4 m×4 m with a subsequent selective cutting of the quartz veins at the mid pillar of approximately 0.5 m high,to obtain a pillar section with an area of 3.0 m×3.0 m.The stability and productivity analyses indicate that the selective technique obtains smaller average pillar safety factor, more rock mass displacement, more extraction and selectivity ratios, and ore grade improvement, compared with the traditional technique. These results show that the selective technique is also more convenient. This proposed selective room-and-pillar mining technique is applicable to any sub-horizontal narrow quartz veins with wolfram, gold, etc.such as the famous La Rinconada gold mine in the Peruvian Andes.Vidal Felix Navarro Torres Carlos Dinis da Gama Matilde Costa e Silva Paula Falcao Neves Qiang Xie 2011International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2011,18,1:7

11Advances in cellular technology in the hematology field: What have we learned so far?显示文摘Despite the advances in the hematology field, blood transfusion-related iatrogenesis is still a major issue to be considered during such procedures due to blood antigenic incompatibility. This places pluripotent stem cells as a possible ally in the production of more suitable blood products. The present review article aims to provide a comprehensive summary of the state-of-theart concerning the differentiation of both embryonic stem cells and induced pluripotent stem cells to hematopoietic cell lines. Here, we review the most recently published protocols to achieve the production of blood cells for future application in hemotherapy, cancer therapy and basic research.Gustavo Torres de Souza Claudineia Pereira Maranduba Camila Maurmann de Souza Danielle Luciana Aurora Soares do Amaral Francisco Carlos da Guia Rafaella de Souza Salomao Zanette Joao Vitor Paes Rettore Natana Chaves Rabelo Lucas Mendes Nascimento Icaro Franca Navarro Pinto Julia Boechat Farani Abrahao Elias Hallack Neto Fernando de Sa Silva Carlos Magno da Costa Maranduba Angelo Atalla 2015World Journal of Stem Cells2015,7,1:0
12Meta-analysis of CO_(2) conversion, energy efficiency, and other performance data of plasma-catalysis reactors with the open access PIONEER database显示文摘This paper brings the comparison of performances of CO_(2)conversion by plasma and plasma-assisted catalysis based on the data collected from literature in this field, organised in an open access online database. This tool is open to all users to carry out their own analyses, but also to contributors who wish to add their data to the database in order to improve the relevance of the comparisons made, and ultimately to improve the efficiency of CO_(2)conversion by plasma-catalysis.The creation of this database and database user interface is motivated by the fact that plasma-catalysis is a fast-growing field for all CO_(2)conversion processes,be it methanation, dry reforming of methane, methanolisation,or others. As a result of this rapid increase, there is a need for a set of standard procedures to rigorously compare performances of different systems. However, this is currently not possible because the fundamental mechanisms of plasma-catalysis are still too poorly understood to define these standard procedures.Fortunately however, the accumulated data within the CO_(2)plasma-catalysis community has become large enough to warrant so-called“big data”studies more familiar in the fields of medicine and the social sciences. To enable comparisons between multiple data sets and make future research more effective, this work proposes the first database on CO_(2)conversion performances by plasma-catalysis open to the whole community. This database has been initiated in the framework of a H_(2)0_(2)0 European project and is called the“PIONEER Data Base”.The database gathers a large amount of CO_(2)conversion performance data such as conversion rate, energy efficiency, and selectivity for numerous plasma sources coupled with or without a catalyst. Each data set is associated with metadata describing the gas mixture, the plasma source, the nature of the catalyst, and the form of coupling with the plasma.Beyond the database itself,a data extraction tool with direct visualisation features or advanced filtering functionalities has been developed and is available online to the public. The simple and fast visualisation of the state of the art puts new results into context, identifies literal gaps in data, and consequently points towards promising research routes.More advanced data extraction illustrates the impact that the database can have in the understanding of plasma-catalyst coupling.Lessons learned from the review of a large amount of literature during the setup of the database lead to best practice advice to increase comparability between future CO_(2)plasma-catalytic studies. Finally, the community is strongly encouraged to contribute to the database not only to increase the visibility of their data but also the relevance of the comparisons allowed by this tool.Antoine Salden Maik Budde Carolina A.Garcia-Soto Omar Biondo Jairo Barauna Marzia Faedda Beatrice Musig ChloéFromentin Minh Nguyen-Quang Harry Philpott Golshid Hasrack Domenico Aceto Yuxiang Cai Federico Azzolina Jury Annemie Bogaerts Patrick Da Costa Richard Engeln María Elena Gálvez Timo Gans Tomas Garcia Vasco Guerra Carlos Henriques Monika Motak Maria Victoria Navarro Vasile I.Parvulescu Gerard Van Rooij Bogdan Samojeden Ana Sobota Paolo Tosi Xin Tu Olivier Guaitella 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,11:0
13Fractionation of rare earth and other trace elements in crabs,Ucides cordatus, from a subtropical mangrove affected by fertilizer industry显示文摘Fractionation of rare earth elements(REE) and other trace metal concentrations(Th, U, Cd,Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb, and Zn) between mangrove sediments and claw muscles and shells of male crabs(Ucides cordatus) from a subtropical estuary highly impacted by fertilizer industry activities was investigated. This is the first record of REE distribution in these organisms, and the results showed higher accumulations of these metals, U and Th in shells, probably related to the replacement of Ca during molting. Contents of Cd, Cr and Ni were similar in both tissues, but Cu, Zn and Pb were mostly accumulated in the claw muscle with concentrations above those considered safe for human consumption according to the Brazilian legislation. REE fractionation was different in the analyzed tissues being softer in the shells. The results provided evidences that the water absorbed during molting controls the chemistry of REE in shells. In contrast, the chemistry of REE in the claw muscle, in which was observed preferential absorption of light REE, is controlled by diet. REE fractionation obtained for the claw muscles was closely correlated to the observed in the contaminated substrate and in materials related to the production of phosphate fertilizers(contamination source), which supports their transference to this Ucides cordatus tissue without fractionation by the ingestion of sediments. Our results showed the potential use of crab tissues for monitoring REE and trace element sources in mangrove areas, with claw muscle exhibiting the contaminant source fingerprint.Alice Bosco-Santos Wanilson Luiz-Silva Emmanoel Vieira da Silva-Filho Monique Dias Corrêa de Souza Elton Luiz Dantas Margareth Sugano Navarro 2017Journal of Environmental Sciences2017,29,4:0
