| 1 | Evaluation of systemic risk factors in different optical coherence tomographic patterns of diabetic macular edema显示文摘● AIM: To elucidate the relationship between systemic risk factors and different patterns of diabetic macular edema(DME) determined with optical coherence tomography(OCT).● METHODS: In this cross-sectional study, DME was classified by OCT as diffuse retinal thickness(DRT), cystoid macular edema(CME) and serous retinal detachment(SRD) and the relationship between the systemic risk factors and DME patterns was evaluated.● RESULTS: Of the 57 patients with DME, 21(36.8%) had DRT, 24(42.1%) had CME and 12(21.0%) had SRD. Microor macro-albuminuria was significantly higher in the DRT pattern(61.9%) compared with the SRD(50.0%) and CME patterns(25.0%; P=0.040). Hemoglobin A1 c(Hb A1 c) level was significantly higher and patients were younger in the DRT pattern group(P=0.034, P=0.032). Best corrected visual acuity was the worst and central macular thickness was the thickest in the CME pattern group.● CONCLUSION: Micro-or macro-albuminuria may be more frequent and Hb A1 c level may be higher in patients with DRT. | 2 | A high-precision heuristic model to detect home and work locations from smart card data显示文摘Smart card-automated fare collection systems now routinely record large volumes of data comprising the origins and destinations of travelers.Processing and analyzing these data open new opportunities in urban modeling and travel behavior research.This study seeks to develop an accurate framework for the study of urban mobility from smart card data by developing a heuristic primary location model to identify the home and work locations.The model uses journey counts as an indicator of usage regularity,visit-frequency to identify activity locations for regular commuters,and stay-time for the classification of work and home locations and activities.London is taken as a case study,and the model results were validated against survey data from the London Travel Demand Survey and volunteer survey.Results demonstrate that the proposed model is able to detect meaningful home and work places with high precision.This study offers a new and cost-effective approach to travel behavior and demand research. | Nilufer Sari Aslam Tao Cheng James Cheshire | 2019 | Geo-Spatial Information Science2019，22，1： | 2 |
| 3 | Conjunctival impression cytology in non-proliferative and proliferative diabetic retinopathy显示文摘AIM:To examine the integrity of the ocular surfaces of subjects with and without diabetes with no conjunctival and dry eye signs and symptoms and compare conjunctival impression cytology findings in diabetics with non-proliferative and proliferative diabetic retinopathy.METHODS:Conjunctival impression cytology was performed on 43 eyes of 43 subjects with nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy(NPDR),42 eyes of 42subjects with proliferative diabetic retinopathy(PDR),and30 eyes of 30 control subjects.Impression cytology specimens of each group were graded and scored in the range 0-3 according to Nelson's method.RESULTS:There were 45(52.9%)women and 40(47.1%)men.The mean age of the patients was 59.6±9.3y(range,43-76y)in NPDR group and 58.0±8.8y(range,41-85y)in PDR group.Cases with NPDR and PDR showed statistically significant higher impression cytology scores than control group(P<0.05).There was no difference between the NPDR and PDR patients for impression cytology grading scores.CONCLUSION:It is determined that impression cytology grades are altered in patients with NPDR and PDR.Consequently,we suggest that there might be an association between the impression cytology grading scores and the severity of diabetic | Mehmet Citirik Nilufer Berker Hulya Haksever Ufuk Elgin Huseyin Ustun | 2014 | International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2014，7，2： | 2 |
