| 1 | Effect of digital elevation models on monitoring slope displacements in open-pit mine by differential interferometry synthetic aperture radar显示文摘Displacement monitoring in open-pit mines is one of the important tasks for safe management of mining processes.Differential interferometric synthetic aperture radar(DInSAR),mounted on an artificial satellite,has the potential to be a cost-effective method for monitoring surface displacements over extensive areas,such as open-pit mines.DInSAR requires the ground surface elevation data in the process of its analysis as a digital elevation model(DEM).However,since the topography of the ground surface in open-pit mines changes largely due to excavations,measurement errors can occur due to insufficient information on the elevation of mining areas.In this paper,effect of different elevation models on the accuracy of the displacement monitoring results by DInSAR is investigated at a limestone quarry.In addition,validity of the DInSAR results using an appropriate DEM is examined by comparing them with the results obtained by global positioning system(GPS)monitoring conducted for three years at the same limestone quarry.It is found that the uncertainty of DEMs induces large errors in the displacement monitoring results if the baseline length of the satellites between the master and the slave data is longer than a few hundred meters.Comparing the monitoring results of DInSAR and GPS,the root mean square error(RMSE)of the discrepancy between the two sets of results is less than 10 mm if an appropriate DEM,considering the excavation processes,is used.It is proven that DInSAR can be applied for monitoring the displacements of mine slopes with centimeter-level accuracy. | I Nyoman Sudi Parwata Shinichiro Nakashima Norikazu Shimizu Takahiro Osawa | 2020 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2020,12,5: | 4 |

| 3 | Mechanism of spinal cord injury regeneration and the effect of human neural stem cells-secretome treatment in rat model显示文摘BACKGROUND Globally,complete neurological recovery of spinal cord injury(SCI)is still less than 1%,and 90%experience permanent disability.The key issue is that a pharmacological neuroprotective-neuroregenerative agent and SCI regeneration mechanism have not been found.The secretomes of stem cell are an emerging neurotrophic agent,but the effect of human neural stem cells(HNSCs)secretome on SCI is still unclear.AIM To investigate the regeneration mechanism of SCI and neuroprotective-neuroregenerative effects of HNSCs-secretome on subacute SCI post-laminectomy in rats.METHODS An experimental study was conducted with 45 Rattus norvegicus,divided into 15 normal,15 control(10 mL physiologic saline),and 15 treatment(30μL HNSCssecretome,intrathecal T10,three days post-traumatic).Locomotor function was evaluated weekly by blinded evaluators.Fifty-six days post-injury,specimens were collected,and spinal cord lesion,free radical oxidative stress(F2-Isoprostanes),nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB),matrix metallopeptidase 9(MMP9),tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α),interleukin-10(IL-10),transforming growth factor-beta(TGF-β),vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),B cell lymphoma-2(Bcl-2),nestin,brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF),glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor(GDNF)were analyzed.The SCI regeneration mechanism was analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling(PLS SEM).RESULTS HNSCs-secretome significantly improved locomotor recovery according to Basso,Beattie,Bresnahan(BBB)scores and increased neurogenesis(nestin,BDNF,and GDNF),neuroangiogenesis(VEGF),anti-apoptotic(Bcl-2),anti-inflammatory(IL-10 and TGF-β),but decreased proinflammatory(NF-κB,MMP9,TNF-α),F2-Isoprostanes,and spinal cord lesion size.The SCI regeneration mechanism is valid by analyzed outer model,inner model,and hypothesis testing in PLS SEM,started with pro-inflammation followed by anti-inflammation,anti-apoptotic,neuroangiogenesis,neurogenesis,and locomotor function.CONCLUSION HNSCs-secretome as a potential neuroprotective-neuroregenerative agent for the treatment of SCI and uncover the SCI regeneration mechanism. | I Nyoman Semita Dwikora Novembri Utomo Heri Suroto | 2023 | World Journal of Orthopedics2023,14,2: | 1 |

| 6 | Challenges to the Conservation of Subak System as World Cultural Heritage in Bali显示文摘Subak in Bali is believed to have been existing from earlier than the ninth century. Throughout this long period, Subak has been successfully utilized water resources for irrigation. Subak has been recognized as world cultural heritage by UNESCO since 2012. Currently, however, the sustainability of the system and its existence in the future is a big concern. This research is a literature review that aims to identify the challenges and provide option of solutions to sustain the Subak. The study showed that some operational and maintenance aspects of Subak are alarming, such as some network deterioration, limited availability of maintenance facilities either from government or farmers. Despite this condition, religious tradition of Subak is still carried out, although the processions vary from one Subak to another. There are several challenges in regards to Subak conservation: (1) reduction of the Subak area, resulting in declining income to support a decent life; (2) deterioration of quality and quantity of water resources; (3) the age of farmers is above 40 years with a heavy financial burden; (4) there are no clear external regulations to support Subak conservations. This study suggests several strategic steps in keeping the sustainability of Subak. The strategic steps include:refunctioning government officials; providing government support to reduce cost levied to farmers; facilitating collaborations between farmers and other stakeholders; promoting alternative commodities which have a higher financial value; preventing and repairing damages of upstream areas; controlling pollution; forming a coordination board at a provincial, regency and river basin level; building the Subak information systems; providing supervising mechanism, and encouraging academics and students to participate in an effort to preserve Subak itself. | I Nyoman Norken I Ketut Suputra I Gusti Ngurah Kerta Arsana | 2016 | Journal of Agricultural Science and Technology(B)2016,6,4: | 1 |

| 15 | Chitosan-praseodymium complex for adsorption of fluoride ions from water显示文摘Engineering of chitosan by praseodymium has been investigated to improve the adsorption properties as well as physical characteristics of chitosan. Modification of chitosan changes the original properties of chitosan so that it can be more suitable for adsorption of fluoride ions. In this study, chitosan-praseodymium(Chi-Pr) was synthesized by impregnation method. The Chi-Pr complex was characterized by scanning electron microscopic-energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(SEM-EDX), Fourier transform infrared(FTIR) and employed as an adsorbent for removal of fluorides ions from water in the batch system. The variables such as contact time, concentration of Pr, adsorbent dose, initial concentration of fluoride ions, and competitor anions were studied. The adsorption efficiency of fluoride ions(η) with increasing Pr loading into chitosan(5 wt.%, 10 wt.%, 15 wt.%, 20 wt.% and 25 wt.%) were 35.5%, 56.1%, 72.0%, 68.5% and 62.5%, respectively. The Chi-Pr(15 wt.%) complex had the highest fluoride removal efficiency(72.0%). The experimental data fitted well to the Langmuir isotherm with maximum adsorption capacity(q max) of 15.87 mg/g and an equilibrium constant(k L) of 0.15 mg. Kinetic study revealed that the adsorption of fluoride ions from water followed pseudo-second-order model with a maximum adsorption capacity(q2) of 8.20 mg/g and a rate constant(k2) of 0.01 g/mg·min. Adsorption efficiency of fluoride ions in the simulated drinking water was diminished with the changes in p H levels.
