| 1 | Identifying vital edges in Chinese air route network via memetic algorithm显示文摘Due to rapid development in the past decade, air transportation system has attracted considerable research attention from diverse communities. While most of the previous studies focused on airline networks, here we systematically explore the robustness of the Chinese air route network, and identify the vital edges which form the backbone of Chinese air transportation system.Specifically, we employ a memetic algorithm to minimize the network robustness after removing certain edges, and hence the solution of this model is the set of vital edges. Counterintuitively,our results show that the most vital edges are not necessarily the edges of the highest topological importance, for which we provide an extensive explanation from the microscope view. | 6 | Can Biochar Protect Labile Organic Matter Against Mineralization in Soil?显示文摘Biochar could help to stabilize soil organic(SOM) matter, thus sequestering carbon(C) into the soil. The aim of this work was to determine an easy method i) to estimate the effects of the addition of biochar and nutrients on the organic matter(SOM)mineralization in an artificial soil, proposed by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development(OECD), amended with glucose and ii) to measure the amount of labile organic matter(glucose) that can be sorbed and thus be partially protected in the same soil, amended or not amended with biochar. A factorial experiment was designed to check the effects of three single factors(biochar, nutrients, and glucose) and their interactions on whole SOM mineralization. Soil samples were inoculated with a microbial inoculum and preincubated to ensure that their biological activities were not limited by a small amount of microbial biomass, and then they were incubated in the dark at 21℃ for 619 d. Periodical measurements of C mineralized to carbon dioxide(CO_2) were carried out throughout the 619-d incubation to allow the mineralization of both active and slow organic matter pools. The amount of sorbed glucose was calculated as the difference between the total and remaining amounts of glucose added in a soil extract. Two different models, the Freundlich and Langmuir models, were selected to assess the equilibrium isotherms of glucose sorption. The CO_2-C release strongly depended on the presence of nutrients only when no biochar was added to the soil. The mineralization of organic matter in the soil amended with both biochar and glucose was equal to the sum of the mineralization of the two C sources separately. | 7 | Clinical and prognostic implications of delirium in elderly patients with non–ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndromes显示文摘Background Elderly patients with non-ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndromes(NSTE-ACS)may present delirium but its clinical relevance is unknown.This study aimed at detennining the clinical associated factors,and prognostic implications of delirium in old-aged patients admitted for NSTE-ACS.Methods LONGEVO-SCA is a prospective multicenter registry including unselected patients with NSTE-ACS aged>80 years.Clinical variables and a complete geriatric evaluation were assessed during hospitalization.The association between delirium and 6-month mortality was assessed by a Cox regression model weighted for a propensity score including the potential confounding variables.We also analysed its association with 6-month bleeding and cognitive or functional decline.Results Among 527 patients included,thirty-seven(7%)patients presented delirium during the hospitalization.Delirium was more frequent in patients with dementia or depression and in those from nursing homes(27.0%vs.3.1%,24.3%vs.11.6%,and 11.1%V5.2.2%,respectively;all P<0.05).Delirium was significantly associated with in-hospital infections(27.0%vs.5.3%,P<0.001)and usage of diuretics(70.3%vs.49.8%,P=0.02).Patients with delirium had longer hospitalizations[median 8.5(5.5-14)vs.6.0(4.0-10)days,P=0.02]and higher incidence of 6-month bleeding and mortality(32.3%vs.10.0%and 24.3%vs.10.8%,respectively;both P<0.05)but similar cognitive or functional decline.Delirium was independently associated with 6-month mortality(HR=1.47,95%CI:1.02-2.13,P=0.04)and 6-month bleeding events(OR=2.87;95%CI:1.98-4」6,P<0.01).Conclusions In-hospital delirium in elderly patients with NSTE-ACS is associated with some preventable risk factors and it is an independent predictor of 6-month mortality. | Miquel Vives-Borras Manuel Martinez-Selles Albert Ariza-Sole Maria T.Vidan Francesc Formiga Hector Bueno Juan Sanchis Oriol Alegre Albert Duran-Cambra Ramon Lopez-Palop Emad Abu-Assi Alessandro Sionis LONGEVO-SCA Investigators | 2019 | Journal of Geriatric Cardiology2019，16，2： | 3 |
| 8 | Heuristics of node selection criteria to assess robustness of world airport network显示文摘The world airport network(WAN) is one of the networked infrastructures that shape today's economic and social activity, so its resilience against incidents affecting the WAN is an important problem. In this paper, the robustness of air route networks is extended by defining and testing several heuristics to define selection criteria to detect the critical nodes of the WAN.In addition to heuristics based on genetic algorithms and simulated annealing, custom heuristics based on node damage and node betweenness are defined. The most effective heuristic is a multiattack heuristic combining both custom heuristics. | 9 | Diabetes mellitus, revascularization and outcomes in elderly patients with myocardial infarction-related cardiogenic shock显示文摘Background The prognostic role of diabetes mellitus(DM)in elderly patients with myocardial infarction-related cardiogenic shock(MI-CS)remains controversial.Little information exists about the impact of intensive cardiac care unit(ICCU)and revascularization on outcomes of elderly patients with MI-CS.We aimed to assess the prognostic impact of DM according to age in patients with MI-CS,and to analyze the impact ICCU management and revascularization on in-hospital mortality in MI-CS patients at older ages.Methods Discharge episodes with diagnosis of CS associated with MI were selected from the Spanish National Health System’s Basic Data Set.Centers were classified according to their availability of ICCU.Main outcome measured was in-hospital mortality.Results A total of 23,590 episodes of MI-CS were identified,of whom 12,447(52.8%)were in patients aged≥75 years.The impact of DM on in-hospital mortality was different among age subgroups.While in younger patients,DM was associated to a higher mortality risk(0.52 vs.0.47,OR=1.12,95%CI:1.06–1.18,χ^2<0.001),this association became non-significant in older patients(0.76 vs.0.81,χ^2=0.09).Adjusted mortality rate of MI-CS aged≥75 years was lower in patients admitted to hospitals with ICCU(adjusted mortality rate:74.2%vs.77.7%,P<0.001)and in patients undergoing revascularization(74.9%vs.77.3%,P<0.001).Conclusions Prognostic impact of DM in patients with MI-CS was different according to age,with a significantly lower impact at older ages.The availability of ICCU and revascularization were associated with better outcomes in these complex patients. | Miquel Gual Albert Ariza-Solé María García Márquez Cristina Fernández JoséL Bernal Francesc Formiga María-Isabel Barrionuevo JoséC Sánchez-Salado Victòria Lorente Júlia Pascual Isaac Llaó Oriol Alegre Angel Cequier Javier Elola | 2020 | Journal of Geriatric Cardiology2020，17，10： | 2 |
