| 1 | Effective removal of microcystins using carbon nanotubes embedded with bacteria显示文摘Adsorption of microcystins (MCs) by carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and clay materials was studied. Compared with various clays tested, CNTs showed a much stronger ability to adsorb MC-RR and LR that were two typical types of microcystins found in China. At initial 21.0 mg/L of MC-RR and 9.5 mg/L of MC-LR in solution, the adsorption amounts of MC-RR and LR by CNTs were 14.8 and 6.7 mg/g that were about five times higher than those by the clay ma-terials of sepiolite, kaolinite and talc, etc. In the presence of CNTs and the bacterial Ralstonia solanacearum that was firstly isolated and used for the biodegradation of MCs by the authors, a remarkable removal of MCs from water were observed. The mechanism was that CNTs could absorb large amount of both MCs and the embedded R. solanacearum so that, even when diluted by a large amount of water, the con-centrations of both organic pollutants and the added bacteria could be largely enhanced on the surface of CNTs where a concerted biodegradation reaction was effectively conducted. | 2 | Adsorption of zinc on manganite(γ-MnOOH): particle concentration effect and adsorption reversibility显示文摘The adsorption and desorption processes of Zn(Ⅱ) on γ-MnOOH as a function of particle concentrations(C p) were studied. An obvious C p effect was observed in this adsorption system. The degree of adsorption hysteresis increased greatly with the increasing of C p, indicating that the extent of the real metastable-equilibrium states deviating from the ideal equilibrium state was enhanced with the increasing of C p. The C p-reversibility relationship confirmed the metastable-equilibrium adsorption(MEA) inequality(Pan, 1998a), which was the core formulation of the MEA theory. | 3 | A method to extract algae toxin of microcystin-LR显示文摘A simple and low-cost method to obtain cyanobacterial toxin microcystin-LR(MC-LR) was developed. A new strain of Microcystis aeruginosa, named DC-1, producing microcystin-LR but not microcystin-RR, was separated from the field blooming algae samples of Dianchi Lake, in southwest of China. Following three times’ freeze and thaw treatment, the cultivated DC-1 cells were extracted with 40% methanol in water. The extract was centrifuged and the supernatant applied to a Hydrophilic-Lipophilic Balance(HLB) SPE cartridge. Eluted impurities with a certain gradient from 30% to 50% methanol in water, MC-LR was finally eluted from the HLB cartridge with 60% methanol in water, and samples containing 3.85% to 14.8% of MC-LR were obtained. | 5 | Study on LF Refining Slag and Slagging Regime of High-Aluminium Steel显示文摘During secondary refining of molten steel, reaction of steel-slag has great influence on the quality of steel. Taking high aluminium steel ([Al]≥0.8%) for instance, reaction control of 4[Al]+3(SiO2) = 2(Al2O3)+3[Si] was discussed by both thermodynamics calculation and industrial experiments. The results show that content of silicon increased sharply when content of SiO2 in slag exceeded 10%. In order to prevent the increment of silicon content and reoxidation for high aluminium steel, reasonable component range of LF refining slag is: %CaO/%Al2O3=1.6-1.9, %SiO2 <10. Results of the industrial experiments indicate that the CaO-Al2O3 based refining slag has strong ability of desulfurization and inclusion absorption. Refining slag system of CaO-SiO2-Al2O3 is put forward with the consideration of slag amount from converter, oxidizability of slag and activity of oxygen in molten steel. On this basis, refining slagging system for low-sulfur and low-oxygen steel has been developed combined with the modification of slag from converter and composition control of refining slag in LF treatment process. The results show that oxygen content is not more than 15×10-6, as well as sulfur content is as low as 0.005% in tube blank steel. Also different and suitable models of argon blowing from bottom of ladle were adopted in the platform after converter, LF refining and calcium treatment.
