| 1 | IL-33 induces immunosuppressive neutrophils via a type 2 innate lymphoid cell/IL-13/STAT6 axis and protects the liver against injury in LCMV infection-induced viral hepatitis显示文摘Viral hepatitis is still a public health problem affecting several million people around the world.Neutrophils are polymorphonuclear cells that have a critical role in antibacterial infection.However,the role of neutrophils in viral infection is not fully understood.By using a mouse model of lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus infection-induced viral hepatitis,we observed increased neutrophil recruitment in the liver accompanied by enhanced CD8+T-cell responses.Liver neutrophils expressed high levels of immunomodulatory cytokines,such as C-X-C chemokine ligand 2,arginase-1,inducible nitric oxide synthase and interleukin(IL)-10,demonstrating immunosuppressive properties.Depletion of neutrophils in vivo by a neutralizing antibody resulted in the exacerbation of liver injury and the promotion of T-cell responses at the immune contraction stage.IL-33 significantly induced neutrophil recruitment in the liver and attenuated liver injury by limiting effector T-cell accumulation.Mechanistically,we found that IL-33 promoted the expression of arginase-1 in neutrophils through the type 2 innate lymphoid cell(ILC2)-derived IL-13.Additionally,IL-13 increased the inhibitory effect of neutrophils on CD8+T-cell proliferation in vitro,partially through arginase-1.Finally,we found that IL-13 induced arginase-1 expression,depending on signal transducer and activator of transcription factor 6(STAT6)signaling.Therefore,IL-33 induced immunosuppressive neutrophils via an ILC2/IL-13/STAT6 axis.Collectively,our findings shed new light on the mechanisms associated with IL-33-triggered neutrophils in the liver and suggest potential targets for therapeutic investigation in viral hepatitis. | Yuejin Liang Panpan Yi Denley Ming Kee Yuan Zuliang Jie Zakari Kwota Lynn Soong Yingzi Cong Jiaren Sun | 2019 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2019,16,2: | 7 |
| 2 | Combination of anti-PD-1 antibody with P-GEMOX as a potentially effective immunochemotherapy for advanced natural killer/T cell lymphoma显示文摘Advanced natural killer/T cell lymphoma(NKTL)has demonstrated poor prognosis with currently available therapies.Here,we report the efficacy of anti-programmed death 1(PD-1)antibody with the P-GEMOX(pegaspargase,gemcitabine,and oxaliplatin)regimen in advanced NKTL.Nine patients underwent six 21-day cycles of anti-PD-1 antibody(day 1),pegaspargase 2000 U/m^(2)(day 1),gemcitabine 1 g/m^(2)(days 1 and 8)and oxaliplatin 130 mg/m^(2)(day 1),followed by anti-PD-1 antibody maintenance every 3 weeks.Programmed death-ligand 1(PD-L1)expression and genetic alterations were determined in paraffin-embedded pretreatment tissue samples using immunohistochemistry and next-generation sequencing(NGS)analysis.Responses were assessed using 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography(18FDG-PET)and computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging.Eight patients exhibited significant responses,comprising of seven complete remissions and one partial remission(overall response rate:88.9%).After a median follow-up of 10.6 months,6/9 patients(66.7%)remained in complete remission.The most common grade 3/4 adverse events were anemia(33.3%),neutropenia(33.3%),and thrombocytopenia(33.3%);all of which were manageable and resolved.Immunochemotherapy produced a high response rate in patients with positive PD-L1 expression(5/6,83.3%).NGS analysis suggested that STAT3/JAK3/PD-L1 alterations and ARID1A mutation were associated with immunochemotherapy efficacy.Mutation in DDX3X and alteration in epigenetic modifiers of KMT2D,TET2,and BCORL1 might indicate a poor response to immunochemotherapy.In conclusion,the anti-PD-1 antibody plus P-GEMOX regimen demonstrated promising efficacy in advanced NKTL.PD-L1 expression combined with specific genetic alterations could be used as potential biomarkers to predict therapeutic responses to immunochemotherapy. | Jun Cai Panpan Liu Huiqiang Huang Yajun Li Shuyun Ma Hui Zhou Xiaopeng Tian Yuchen Zhang Yan Gao Yi Xia Xuanye Zhang Hang Yang Lirong Li Qingqing Cai | 2020 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1: | 6 |

| 5 | Rational construction and decoration of Li_(5)Cr_(7)Ti_(6)O_(25)@Cnanofibers as stable lithium storage materials显示文摘Li_(5)Cr_(7)Ti_(6)O_(25) is regarded as a promising anode material for Li-ion batteries(LIBs)because of its low cost and high theoretical capacity.However,the inherently poor conductivity significantly limits the enhancement of its rate capability and cycling stability,especially at high current densities.In this work,we construct one-dimensional Li_(5)Cr_(7)Ti_(6)O_(25)/C nanofibers by electrospinning method to enhance the kinetic,which realizes high cycling stability.Carbon coating enhances the structure stability,insertion/extraction reversibility of Li-ions and electrochemical reaction activity,and facilitates the transfer of Li-ions.Benefited from the unique architecture and component,the Li_(5)Cr_(7)Ti_(6)O_(25)/C(6.6 wt%)nanofiber shows an excellent rate capability with a reversible de-lithiation capacity of 370.8,290.6,269.2,254.3 and 244.9 m Ah g^(-1) at 200,300,500,800 and 1000 m A g^(-1),respectively.Even at a higher current density of 1 A g^(-1),Li_(5)Cr_(7)Ti_(6)O_(25)/C(6.6 wt%)nanofiber shows high cycling stability with an initial de-lithiation capacity of 237.8 m Ah g^(-1) and a capacity retention rate of about 84%after 500 cycles.The density functional theory calculation result confirms that the introduction of carbon on the surface of Li_(5)Cr_(7)Ti_(6)O_(25) changes the total density of states of Li_(5)Cr_(7)Ti_(6)O_(25),and thus improves electronic conductivity of the composite,resulting in a good electrochemical performance of Li_(5)Cr_(7)Ti_(6)O_(25)/C nanofibers.Li_(5)Cr_(7)Ti_(6)O_(25)/C nanofibers indicate a great potential as an anode material for the next generation of high-performance LIBs. | Ting-Ting Wei Panpan Peng Yu-Rui Ji Yan-Rong Zhu Ting-Feng Yi Ying Xie | 2022 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,8: | 1 |

| 13 | Simultaneous Localization and Mapping System Based on Labels显示文摘In this paper a label-based simultaneous localization and mapping( SLAM) system is proposed to provide localization to indoor autonomous robots. In the system quick response( QR) codes encoded with serial numbers are utilized as labels. These labels are captured by two webcams,then the distances and angles between the labels and webcams are computed. Motion estimated from the two rear wheel encoders is adjusted by observing QR codes. Our system uses the extended Kalman filter( EKF) for the back-end state estimation. The number of deployed labels controls the state estimation dimension. The label-based EKF-SLAM system eliminates complicated processes,such as data association and loop closure detection in traditional feature-based visual SLAM systems. Our experiments include software-simulation and robot-platform test in a real environment. However,the exploration of N, S co-doped carbon with well-defined active sites and hierarchical porous structures are still limited. In this study, we prepared a series of edge-enriched N, S co-doped carbon materials through pyrolysis of thiourea(TU) encapsulated in zeolitic imidazolate frameworks(TU@ZIF) composites,which delivered very good oxygen reduction reaction(ORR) performance in alkaline medium with onset potential of 0.94 V vs. reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE), good stability and methanol tolerance. Density functional theory(DFT) calculations suggested that carbon atoms adjacent to N and S are probable active sites for ORR intermediates in edge-enriched N, S co-doped carbon materials because higher electron density can enhance O_(2)adsorption, lower formation barriers of intermediates, improving the ORR performance comparing to intact N, S co-doped carbon materials. | 15 | Dietary Lactiplantibacillus plantarum KX041 attenuates colitis-associated tumorigenesis and modulates gut microbiota显示文摘Colorectal cancer(CRC)is one of the most common cancers and supplementation of probiotics may be a promising intervention method. The present study aimed to investigate the anti-CRC effects of Lactiplantibacillus plantarum KX041 on a CRC mouse model. The CRC mice were induced by 10 mg/kg azoxymethane and 2% dextran sulfate sodium. L. plantarum KX041 was orally administrated once daily(1 × 10^(9) CFU/mouse). Results showed that L. plantarum KX041 could significantly inhibit inflammation, tumor formation, and induce tumor cells apoptosis. Moreover, this probiotic could ameliorate the damage of intestinal barrier by recovering tight junction protein expression(like Occludin, Claudin-1, and ZO-1)and preventing goblet cell loss. Furthermore, the oxidative stress was alleviated by increasing the level of antioxidant mediators(like GSH and SOD)and reducing the level of oxidative mediators(like MDA and MPO). In addition, treatment with L. plantarum KX041 could directly regulate gut microbiota, thereby increasing the abundance of beneficial bacteria(like SCFAs-producing bacteria, Akkermansia)and decreasing the abundance of harmful bacteria(like pro-inflammatory bacteria, Parasutterella), which in turn raised SCFAs levels and lowered LPS levels. | 17 | Targeting P21-activated kinase suppresses proliferation and enhances chemosensitivity in T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma显示文摘T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma(T-LBL)is a highly aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphoma with a poor prognosis.P21-activated kinase(PAK)is a component of the gene expression-based classifier that can predict the prognosis of T-LBL.However,the role of PAK in T-LBL progression and survival remains poorly understood.Herein,we found that the expression of PAK1 was significantly higher in T-LBL cell lines(Jurkat,SUP-T1,and CCRF-CEM)compared to the human T-lymphoid cell line.Moreover,PAK2 mRNA level of 32 relapsed T-LBL patients was significantly higher than that of 37 cases without relapse(P=.012).T-LBL patients with high PAK1 and PAK2 expression had significantly shorter median RFS than those with low PAK1 and PAK2 expression(PAK1,P=.028;PAK2,P=.027;PAK1/2,P=.032).PAK inhibitors,PF3758309(PF)and FRAX597,could suppress the proliferation of T-LBL cells by blocking the G1/S cell cycle phase transition.Besides,PF could enhance the chemosensitivity to doxorubicin in vitro and in vivo.Mechanistically,through western blotting and RNA sequencing,we identified that PF could inhibit the phosphorylation of PAK1/2 and downregulate the expression of cyclin D1,NF-κB and cell adhesion signaling pathways in T-LBL cell lines.These findings suggest that PAK might be associated with T-LBL recurrence and further found that PAK inhibitors could suppress proliferation and enhance chemosensitivity of T-LBL cells treated with doxorubicin.Collectively,our present study underscores the potential therapeutic effect of inhibiting PAK in T-LBL therapy. | Ning Su Yu Fang Xu Chen Xiaoqin Chen Zhongjun Xia Huiqiang Huang Yi Xia Panpan Liu Xiaopeng Tian Qingqing Cai | 2023 | Blood Science2023,5,4: | 0 |
| 18 | Early-Life Gut Microbiota Governs Susceptibility to Colitis via Microbial-Derived Ether Lipids显示文摘Localized intestine inflammation could induce short-term increases in colonic oxygenation and leads to increases in the aerobic bacteria population and reduction in the anaerobic bacteria population by changing the intestinal environment.However,the mechanisms involved and the associated functions of intestinal anaerobes in gut health still remain unclear.Here,we found that early-life depletion of gut microbiota exacerbated later colitis,while mid-life microbiota depletion showed partially reduced colitis.Notably,we observed that early-life gut microbiota depletion confers susceptibility to ferroptosis in colitis.In contrast,restitution of early-life microbiota conferred protection against colitis and inhibited ferroptosis triggered by gut microbiota dysbiosis.Similarly,colonization with anaerobic microbiota from young mice suppressed colitis.These results may attribute to high abundance of plasmalogen-positive(plasmalogen synthase[PlsA/R]-positive)anaerobes and plasmalogens(one of the common ether lipids)in young mice but reduced abundance in the development of inflammatory bowel disease.Early-life anaerobic bacteria elimination also resulted in the aggravation of colitis,while this aggravation phenotype was reverted by plasmalogen administration.Interestingly,plasmalogens inhibited ferroptosis triggered by microbiota dysbiosis.We further find that the alkenyl-ether group of plasmalogens was critical to colitis prevention and ferroptosis inhibition.These data point to one of the mechanisms by which the gut microbiota controls susceptibility to colitis and ferroptosis early in life via microbial-derived ether lipids. | Yanjun Liu Chunhua Jiao Tao Zhang Xue Li Panpan Li Meishan Lu Zhan Ye Yanpeng Du Runfeng Du Wenlong Zhang Jie Xu Zhaojun Zheng Yongjiang Xu Changhu Xue Yi Zhang Yuanfa Liu | 2023 | Research2023,,3: | 0 |

| 20 | Combination of anti-PD-1 antibody with P-GEMOX as apotentially effective immunochemotherapy for advancednatural killer/T cell lymphoma显示文摘Advanced natural killer/T cell lymphoma(NKTL)has demonstrated poor prognosis with currently available therapies.Here,we report the efficacy of anti-programmed death 1(PD-1)antibody with the P-GEMOX(pegaspargase,gemcitabine,and oxaliplatin)regimen in advanced NKTL.Nine patients underwent six 21-day cycles of anti-PD-1 antibody(day 1),pegaspargase 2000 U/m^(2)(day 1),gemcitabine 1 g/m^(2)(days 1 and 8)and oxaliplatin 130 mg/m^(2)(day 1),followed by anti-PD-1 antibody maintenance every 3 weeks.Programmed death-ligand 1(PD-L1)expression and genetic alterations were determined in paraffin-embedded pretreatment tissue samples using immunohistochemistry and next-generation sequencing(NGS)analysis.Responses were assessed using ^(18)F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography(^(18)FDG-PET)and computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging.Eight patients exhibited significant responses,comprising of seven complete remissions and one partial remission(overall response rate:88.9%).After a median follow-up of 10.6 months,6/9 patients(66.7%)remained in complete remission.The most common grade 3/4 adverse events were anemia(33.3%),neutropenia(33.3%),and thrombocytopenia(33.3%);all of which were manageable and resolved.Immunochemotherapy produced a high response rate in patients with positive PD-L1 expression(5/6,83.3%).NGS analysis suggested that STAT3/JAK3/PD-L1 alterations and ARID1A mutation were associated with immunochemotherapy efficacy.Mutation in DDX3X and alteration in epigenetic modifiers of KMT2D,TET2,and BCORL1 might indicate a poor response to immunochemotherapy.In conclusion,the anti-PD-1 antibody plus P-GEMOX regimen demonstrated promising efficacy in advanced NKTL.PD-L1 expression combined with specific genetic alterations could be used as potential biomarkers to predict therapeutic responses to immunochemotherapy. | Jun Cai Panpan Liu Huiqiang Huang Yajun Li Shuyun Ma Hui Zhou Xiaopeng Tian Yuchen Zhang Yan Gao Yi Xia Xuanye Zhang Hang Yang Lirong Li Qingqing Cai | 2021 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,1: | 0 |
