| 6 | Effect of ground corn cobs as a fiber source in total mixed ration on feed intake, milk yield and milk composition in tropical lactating crossbred Holstein cows显示文摘The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of ground corn cobs(GCC) as a sole fiber source in total mixed ration(TMR) on feed intake, milk yield and milk composition in tropical lactating crossbred Holstein cows. Four multiparous crossbreds Holstein Friesian dairy cows with an initial body weight(BW) of 415.5 ± 26.20 kg were used in a 4 x 4 Latin square design. The dietary treatments of TMR contained a roughage-to-concentrate ratio of 40:60. The roughage source was used at different ratios of GCC to rice straw(RS) at 100:0, 82.5:17.5, 67.5:32.5, and 50:50 for TMR1 to TMR4, respectively. The results revealed significant improvements in intake of dry matter, protein, neutral detergent fiber(NDF)and metabolizable energy(ME) for TMR1 and TMR2(P < 0.05), while the digestibility of nutrients was not altered by the treatments(P > 0.05). Ground corn cobs was used for up to 100% of the total roughage without affecting milk production. Moreover, ruminal pH, temperature, ammonia-nitrogen(NH_3-N) and volatile fatty acid(VFA) concentrations were not impacted by the treatments(P> 0.05). However, milk yield was significantly different among the GCC:RS ratios(P < 0.05) and was the highest in TMR1 and TMR2(13.1 kg/d), while the milk compositions were not changed(P > 0.05). The results imply that using GCC as a whole roughage source significantly improved nutrients intake and milk yield in dairy cows raised in tropical areas. | Chalong Wachirapakorn Krung Pilachai Metha Wanapat Pawadee Pakdee Anusorn Cherdthong | 2016 | Animal Nutrition2016,,4: | 1 |

| 8 | Periodontitis: Tip of the iceberg in chronic kidney disease显示文摘The prevalence of chronic kidney disease(CKD)is constantly escalating not only in industrialized countries but throughout the world. It is of major significance because of to its high morbidity and mortality.Strategies to tackle this worldwide health problem include identification of its associated risk factors, comorbidities, and complications as well as proper management to handle all the pertinent issues.Periodontal disease,a treatable infectious state of the dental supporting tissues,is common in CKD patients. Its association with CKD is believed to be in a reciprocal or bidirectional fashion and has been massively studied. This paper, therefore, aims to review the recent evidence pertaining to the association between periodontal disease and a variety of renal illnesses. Most of the current evidence was collected from cross-sectional studies and clinical trials. There is substantial evidence indicating that periodontal disease contributes markedly to the chronic systemic inflammatory burden, leading to cardiovascular and cerebrovascular complications, the principal causes of death among chronic renal disease patients.Furthermore, several studies demonstrated that proper periodontal intervention could help improve systemic inflammation and even nutritional status among CKD patients, resulting in a better quality of life.Suggestions have been made that periodontal disease should be diagnosed early, and managed and controlled to,atleast, eradicate a source of inflammation in this population.Awareness of such an important issue should be increased in the relevant medical personnel. | Monchai Siribamrungwong Pawadee Chinudomwong | 2014 | World Journal of Clinical Urology2014,3,3: | 1 |

采用健康素养与健康行为(the Health Literacy and Health Behavior-3E2S,HLHB-3E2S)问卷、非传染性疾病管理问卷(the Management of Non-Communicable Diseases Questionnaire,MNCDQ)和自信心问卷,分别在项目实施前后对VHVs进行调查,并通过访谈收集他们对项目的态度和意见。 | Khanittha Pitchalard Katemanee Moonpanane Pawadee Wimolphan Onnalin Singkhorn Sathit Wongsuraprakit | 2022 | International Journal of Nursing Sciences2022,9,3: | 0 |
