3A Tailored High-Efficiency Sample Pretreatment Method for Simultaneous Quantification of 10 Classes of Known Endogenous Phytohormones显示文摘One of the hottest topics in plant hormone biology is the crosstalk mechanisms,whereby multiple classes of phytohormones interplay with each other through signaling networks.To better understand the roles of hormonal crosstalks in their complex regulatory networks,it is of high significance to investigate the spatial and temporal distributions of multiple-phytohormones simultaneously from one plant tissue sample.In this study,we develop a high-sensitivity and high-throughput method for the simultaneous quantitative analysis of 44 phytohormone compounds,covering currently known 10 major classes of phytohormones(strigolactones,brassinosteroids,gibberellins,auxin,abscisic acid,jasmonic acid,salicylic acid,cytokinins,ethylene,and polypeptide hormones[e.g.,phytosulfokine])from only 100 mg of plant sample.These compounds were grouped and purified separately with a tailored solid-phase extraction procedure based on their physicochemical properties and then analyzed by LC–MS/MS.The recoveries of our method ranged from 49.6%to 99.9%and the matrix effects from 61.8%to 102.5%,indicating that the overall sample pretreatment design resulted in good purification.The limits of quantitation(LOQs)of our method ranged from 0.06 to 1.29 pg/100 mg fresh weight and its precision was less than 13.4%,indicating high sensitivity and good reproducibility of the method.Tests of our method in different plant matrices demonstrated its wide applicability.Collectively,these advantages will make our method helpful in clarifying the crosstalk networks of phytohormones.Peiyong Xin Qiuhuan Guo Bingbing Li Shujing Cheng Jijun Yan Jinfang Chu 2020Plant Communications2020,1,3:7
4Solving Multi-Area Environmental/Economic Dispatch by Pareto-Based Chemical-Reaction Optimization Algorithm显示文摘In this study, we present a Pareto-based chemicalreaction optimization(PCRO) algorithm for solving the multiarea environmental/economic dispatch optimization problems.Two objectives are minimized simultaneously, i.e., total fuel cost and emission. In the proposed algorithm, each solution is represented by a chemical molecule. A novel encoding mechanism for solving the multi-area environmental/economic dispatch optimization problems is designed to dynamically enhance the performance of the proposed algorithm. Then, an ensemble of effective neighborhood approaches is developed, and a selfadaptive neighborhood structure selection mechanism is also embedded in PCRO to increase the search ability while maintaining population diversity. In addition, a grid-based crowding distance strategy is introduced, which can obviously enable the algorithm to easily converge near the Pareto front. Furthermore,a kinetic-energy-based search procedure is developed to enhance the global search ability. Finally, the proposed algorithm is tested on sets of the instances that are generated based on realistic production. 5Overexpression of IbPAL1 promotes chlorogenic acid biosynthesis in sweetpotato显示文摘Sweetpotato[Ipomoea batatas(L.)Lam.],a food crop with both nutritional and medicinal uses,plays essential roles in food security and health-promoting.Chlorogenic acid(CGA),a polyphenol displaying several bioactivities,is distributed in all edible parts of sweetpotato.However,little is known about the specific metabolism of CGA in sweetpotato.In this study,IbPAL1,which encodes an endoplasmic reticulum-localized phenylalanine ammonia lyase(PAL),was isolated and characterized in sweetpotato.CGA accumulation was positively associated with the expression pattern of IbPAL1 in a tissue-specific manner,as further demonstrated by overexpression of IbPAL1.Overexpression of IbPAL1 promoted CGA accumulation and biosynthetic pathway genes expression in leaves,stimulated secondary xylem cell expansion in stems,and inhibited storage root formation.Our results support a potential role for IbPAL1 in sweetpotato CGA biosynthesis and establish a theoretical foundation for detailed mechanism research and nutrient improvement in sweetpotato breeding programs.Yang Yu Yingjie Wang Yue Yu Peiyong Ma Zhaodong Jia Xiaoding Guo Yizhi Xie Xiaofeng Bian 2021The Crop Journal2021,9,1:5
6Zn–Ca–Al mixed oxide as efficient catalyst for synthesis of propylene carbonate from urea and 1,2-propylene glycol显示文摘A series of Zn–Ca–Al oxides with different CaO and ZnO contents have been prepared and evaluated in the synthesis of propylene carbonate(PC) from 1,2-propylene glycol(PG) and urea in a batch reactor. The effect of catalyst composition, basicity and reaction process parameters such as temperature, catalyst dose, molar ratio of PG to urea, purge gas flow and reaction time has been studied to find suitable reaction conditions for the PC synthesis. The PC selectivity and yield under the desired conditions could reach 98.4% and 90.8%, respectively. The best performing catalyst also exhibited a good reusability without appreciable loss in the PC selectivity and yield after five consecutive reaction runs. 8High strain rate compressive strength behavior of cemented paste backfill using split Hopkinson pressure bar显示文摘The stability of cemented paste backfill(CPB)is threatened by dynamic disturbance,but the conventional low strain rate laboratory pressure test has difficulty achieving this research purpose.Therefore,a split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB)was utilized to investigate the high strain rate compressive behavior of CPB with dynamic loads of 0.4,0.8,and 1.2 MPa.And the failure modes were determined by macro and micro analysis.CPB with different cement-to-tailings ratios,solid mass concentrations,and curing ages was prepared to conduct the SHPB test.The results showed that increasing the cement content,tailings content,and curing age can improve the dynamic compressive strength and elastic modulus.Under an impact load,a higher strain rate can lead to larger increasing times of the dynamic compressive strength when compared with static loading.And the dynamic compressive strength of CPB has an exponential correlation with the strain rate.The macroscopic failure modes indicated that CPB is more seriously damaged under dynamic loading.The local damage was enhanced,and fine cracks were formed in the interior of the CPB.This is because the CPB cannot dissipate the energy of the high strain rate stress wave in a short loading period.Xin Chen Xiuzhi Shi Jian Zhou Enming Li Peiyong Qiu Yonggang Gou 2021International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2021,31,3:3
9Fatigue behavior of high-entropy alloys: A review显示文摘Fatigue failures cost approximately 4% of the United States' gross domestic product(GDP). The design of highly fatigue-resistant materials is always in demand. Different from conventional strategies of alloy design, high-entropy alloys(HEAs) are defined as materials with five or more principal elements, which could be solid solutions. This locally-disordered structure is expected to lead to unique fatigue-resistant properties. In this review, the studies of the fatigue behavior of HEAs during the last five years are summarized. The four-point-bending high-cycle fatigue coupled with statistical modelling, and the fatigue-crack-growth behavior of HEAs, are reviewed. The effects of sample defects and nanotwins-deformation mechanisms on four-point-bending high-cycle fatigue of HEAs are discussed in detail. The influence of stress ratio and temperature on fatigue-crack-growth characteristics of HEAs is also discussed. HEAs could exhibit comparable or greater fatigue properties, relative to conventional materials. 11Study on the microwave-assisted extraction of polyphenols from tea显示文摘This study demonstrated a promising method for quickly extracting tea polyphenol(TP)by microwaveassisted extraction(MAE)technology.Some influential parameters,including MAE temperature,microwave power,concentration of extraction solvent,MAE time and the solid/liquid ratio,were investigated.The optimum condition of MAE was obtained by dual extraction with 60%ethanol(v/v)and the solid/liquid ratio 1:12 g/mL at 80℃ for 10 minutes under the microwave power 600W.The yield of TP was 96.5%under the described condition.Compared with traditional methods,including hot reflux extraction(HRE),ultrasound-assisted extraction(UAE)and supercritical fluid extraction(SFE),the extraction time was saved 8 times than that of HRE,and the yield was increased by 17.5%.The extraction time at comparable levels of production was saved 2 times,and the energy consumption was one fourth that of UAE.The extraction time was saved 5 times than that of SFE,and the yield of TP was increased by 40%.Moreover,compared with MAE of TP studied by others,it decreased the solid/liquid ratio from 1∶20 to 1∶12 g/mL without 90-min pre-leaching time,and the yield of TP was increased by 6%-40%.Liyun WANG Peiyong QIN Yan HU 2010Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2010,4,3:2
122,5-Diformylfuran production by photocatalytic selective oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural in water using MoS_(2)/CdIn_(2)S_(4) flower-like heterojunctions显示文摘The selective oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural(HMF) into 2,5-diformylfuran(DFF) is an important reaction for renewable biomass building blocks. Compared with thermal catalytic processes, photocatalytic production of DFF from HMF has attracted tremendous attention. Herein, the MoS_(2)/CdIn_(2)S_(4)(MC)flower-like heterojunctions were prepared and considered as photocatalysts for selective oxidation of HMF into DFF under visible-light irradiation in aqueous solution. Results demonstrated MoS_(2) in MC heterojunction could promote the separation of photoexcited electron-hole pairs, while the amount of MoS_(2) dropping was proved influenced on the photocatalytic performance. 80.93% of DFF selectivity was realized when using 12.5% MC as photocatalyst. In addition, the MC catalyst also showed great potential in transformation of other biomass derived benzyl-and furyl-alcohols. The catalytic mechanism suggested that ·O_(2)^(-) was the decisive active radical for HMF oxidation.
