3Liver transplantation in patients with SARS-CoV-2:Two case reports显示文摘BACKGROUND Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2(SARS-CoV-2)causes coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).This disease was declared a worldwide health problem with the characteristics of a pandemic.Most patients have mild symptoms and a good prognosis.Information on the evolution and prognosis of COVID-19 in solid organ recipients is scarce.CASE SUMMARY We describe two patients who underwent liver transplantation with a positive test result for detection of the viral sequence for COVID-19,using reversetranscription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR),immediately before transplantation.The patients showed good evolution in the postoperative period,without signs of graft dysfunction.The immunosuppressive therapy was not modified.Both patients were discharged for subsequent outpatient follow-up.CONCLUSION In conclusion,it is expected that the experience at this center can be used as an example,aimed at the continuation of transplantations by other services and,thus,the morbidity and mortality of patients with liver disease on the transplantation waiting list can be reduced.Transplant centers must be able to readjust daily to the evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic.Camilla Bezerra Bastos Limeira Camila Monteiro Veras JoséHicaro Hellano Gonçalves Lima Paiva Marina Seixas Studart e Neves Themístocles Mesquita Teles de Carvalho Natália Stefani de Assunção Ferreira Alessandra Maria Mont`Alverne Pierre Ivelise Regina Canito Brasil 2021World Journal of Clinical Infectious Diseases2021,11,1:0
4SPECT-computed tomography in rats with TNBS-induced colitis: A first step toward functional imaging显示文摘AIM To assess the feasibility of SPECT-computed tomography(CT) in rats with trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid(TNBS)-induced acute colitis and confront it with model inflammatory characteristics.METHODS Colitis was induced in Sprague-Dawley rats by intrarectal injection of TNBS(n = 10) while controls received vehicle(n = 10). SPECT-CT with intravenous injection of 10 MBq of 67Ga-Citrate was performed at day 2. SPECT-CT criteria were colon wall thickness andmaximal wall signal intensity. Laboratory parameters were assessed: colon weight:length ratio, colon cyclooxygenase-2 expression by western blot and histological inflammatory score.RESULTS Colon weight/length ratio, colon COX-2 expression and histological inflammatory score were significantly higher in the TNBS group than in the control group(P = 0.0296, P < 0.0001, P = 0.0007 respectively). Pixel max tend to be higher in the TNBS group than in the control group but did not reach statistical significance(P = 0.0662). Maximal thickness is significantly increased in the TNBS group compared to the control group(P = 0.0016) while colon diameter is not(P = 0.1904). Maximal thickness and colon diameter were correlated to colon COX-2 expression(P = 0.0093, P = 0.009 respectively) while pixel max was not(P = 0.22). 5Hand-feel soil texture observations to evaluate the accuracy of digital soil maps for local prediction of soil particle size distribution:A case study in Central France显示文摘Digital maps of soil properties are now widely available.End-users now can access several digital soil mapping(DSM)products of soil properties,produced using different models,calibration/training data,and covariates at various spatial scales from global to local.Therefore,there is an urgent need to provide easy-to-understand tools to communicate map uncertainty and help end-users assess the reliability of DSM products for use at local scales.In this study,we used a large amount of hand-feel soil texture(HFST)data to assess the performance of various published DSM products on the prediction of soil particle size distribution in Central France.We tested four DSM products for soil texture prediction developed at various scales(global,continental,national,and regional)by comparing their predictions with approximately 3200 HFST observations realized on a 1:50000 soil survey conducted after release of these DSM products.We used both visual comparisons and quantitative indicators to match the DSM predictions and HFST observations.The comparison between the low-cost HFST observations and DSM predictions clearly showed the applicability of various DSM products,with the prediction accuracy increasing from global to regional predictions.This simple evaluation can determine which products can be used at the local scale and if more accurate DSM products are required.Anne C.RICHER-de-FORGES Dominique ARROUAYS Laura POGGIO Songchao CHEN Marine LACOSTE Budiman MINASNY Zamir LIBOHOVA Pierre ROUDIER Vera LMULDER HervéNÉDÉLEC Guillaume MARTELET Blandine LEMERCIER Philippe LAGACHERIE Hocine BOURENNANE 2023Pedosphere2023,33,5:0
