| 1 | Sequential trapping of single nanoparticles using a gold plasmonic nanohole array显示文摘We have used a gold nanohole array to trap single polystyrene nanoparticles, with a mean diameter of 30 nm, into separated hot spots located at connecting nanoslot regions. A high trap stiffness of approximately 0.85 fN∕(nm·m W)at a low-incident laser intensity of ~0.51 m W∕μm^2 at 980 nm was obtained. The experimental results were compared to the simulated trapping force, and a reasonable match was achieved. | 2 | Traditional agroecological knowledge and practices:The drivers and opportunities for adaptation actions in the northern region of Ghana显示文摘Agroecological practices are promoted as a more proactive approach than conventional agriculture to achieving a collective global response to climate change and variability while building robust and resilient agricultural systems to meet food needs and protect the integrity of ecosystems.There is relatively limited evidence on the key traditional agroecological knowledge and practices adopted by smallholder farmers,the factors that influence smallholder farmers’decision to adopt these practices,and the opportunities it presents for building resilient agricultural systems.Using a multi-scale mixed method approach,we conducted key informant interviews(n=12),focus group discussions(n=5),and questionnaire surveys(N=220)to explore the traditional agroecological knowledge and practices,the influencing factors,and the opportunities smallholder farmers presented for achieving resilient agricultural systems.Our findings suggest that smallholder farmers employ a suite of traditional agroecological knowledge and practices to enhance food security,combat climate change,and build resilient agricultural systems.The most important traditional agroecological knowledge and practices in the study area comprise cultivating leguminous crops,mixed crop-livestock systems,and crop rotation,with Relative Importance Index(RII)values of 0.710,0.708,and 0.695,respectively.It is reported that the choice of these practices by smallholder farmers is influenced by their own farming experience,access to market,access to local resources,information,and expertise,and the perceived risk of climate change.Moreover,the results further show that improving household food security and nutrition,improving soil quality,control of pest and disease infestation,and support from NonGovernmental Organizations(NGOs)and local authorities are opportunities for smallholder farmers in adopting traditional agroecological knowledge and practices for achieving resilient agricultural systems.The findings call into question the need for stakeholders and policy-makers at all levels to develop capacity and increase the awareness of traditional agroecological knowledge and practices as mechanisms to ensure resilient agricultural systems for sustainable food security. | Enoch YELELIERE Thomas YEBOAH Philip ANTWI-AGYEI Prince PEPRAH | 2022 | Regional Sustainability2022,3,4: | 0 |

The scholar is assumed as load scheduling a vital problem inIoT environment. There are many techniques accessible to load scheduling inIoT environments. With this motivation, this paper presents an improved deerhunting optimization algorithm with Type II fuzzy logic (IDHOA-T2F) modelfor load scheduling in IoT environment. The goal of the IDHOA-T2F is todiminish the energy utilization of integrated circuit of IoT node and enhancethe load scheduling in IoT environments. The IDHOA technique is derivedby integrating the concepts of Nelder Mead (NM) with the DHOA. Theproposed model also synthesized the T2L based on fuzzy logic (FL) systemsto counterbalance the load distribution. The proposed model finds usefulto improve the efficiency of IoT system. For validating the enhanced loadscheduling performance of the IDHOA-T2F technique, a series of simulationstake place to highlight the improved performance. | 5 | Biliary drainage in inoperable malignant biliary distal obstruction: A systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘BACKGROUND Endoscopic drainage remains the treatment of choice for unresectable or inoperable malignant distal biliary obstruction(MDBO).AIM To compare the safety and efficacy of plastic stent(PS)vs self-expanding metal stent(SEMS)placement for treatment of MDBO.METHODS This meta-analysis was developed according to Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis guidelines.A comprehensive search was performed in MEDLINE,Cochrane,Embase,Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature,and grey literature to identify randomized clinical trials(RCTs)comparing clinical success,adverse events,stent dysfunction rate,reintervention rate,duration of stent patency,and mean survival.Risk difference(RD)and mean difference(MD)were calculated and heterogeneity was assessed with I2 statistic.Subgroup analyses were performed by SEMS type.RESULTS Twelve RCTs were included in this study,totaling 1005 patients.There was no difference in clinical success(RD=-0.03,95%confidence interval[CI]:-0.01,0.07;I 2=0%),rate of adverse events(RD=-0.03,95%CI:-0.10,0.03;I2=57%),and mean patient survival(MD=-0.63,95%CI:-18.07,19.33;I2=54%)between SEMS vs PS placement.However,SEMS placement was associated with a lower rate of reintervention(RD=-0.34,95%CI:-0.46,-0.22;I2=57%)and longer duration of stent patency(MD=125.77 d,95%CI:77.5,174.01).Subgroup analyses revealed both covered and uncovered SEMS improved stent patency compared to PS(RD=152.25,95%CI:37.42,267.07;I2=98%and RD=101.5,95%CI:38.91,164.09;I2=98%;respectively).Stent dysfunction was higher in the covered SEMS group(RD=-0.21,95%CI:-0.32,-0.1;I²=205%),with no difference in the uncovered SEMS group(RD=-0.08,95%CI:-0.56,0.39;I²=87%).CONCLUSION While both stent types possessed a similar clinical success rate,complication rate,and patient-associated mean survival for treatment of MDBO,SEMS were associated with a longer duration of stent patency compared to PS. | Maria Vitória Cury Vieira Scatimburgo Igor Braga Ribeiro Diogo Turiani Hourneaux de Moura Vitor Massaro Takamatsu Sagae Bruno Salomão Hirsch Mateus Bond Boghossian Thomas R McCarty Marcos EduardoLera dos Santos Tomazo Antonio Prince Franzini Wanderley Marques Bernardo Eduardo GuimarãesHourneaux de Moura | 2021 | World Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery2021,13,5: | 0 |
