1Controllable generation of large-scale highly regular gratings on Si films显示文摘The application of femtosecond laser-induced periodic surface texturing has significant potential in medicine,optics,tribology,and biology,among other areas.However,when irradiated by a large intense laser spot,the periodic structures usually exhibit an uncontrollable regularity,forming bifurcated patterns,thus limiting their widespread application.Irregularity originates from numerous independent branching seeds.The usual solution to this problem is to utilize the quasi-direct laser writing technique,that is,by limiting the laser beam size(diameter of<10 wavelengths)and scanning the beam or samples using 2D translation stages.Herein,we demonstrate an optical localization-induced nonlinear competition mechanism to solve this problem,which occurs at a fluence nearly one order of magnitude below the ablation threshold.Owing to the low intrinsic absorption of silicon and ultralow applied fluence,this mechanism ensures the self-selection of a single seed to initiate an array of bifurcated-free gratings under stationary irradiation with a large laser spot(diameter>100 wavelengths).Surprisingly,some unconventional complex patterns,such as radial,annular,and spiral gratings,can also be easily produced by structured light fields with unprecedented regularity.Their diameters reach up to>500μm.Moreover,we can artificially control the initial seeding structure to further improve the regularity of the gratings,defined by dispersion in the ripple orientation angle in their 2D Fourier transform.As a result,the regularity in our experiments produced by a large laser spot is even higher than that scanned by a tiny beam.Controllable and highly regular ripples are beneficial to the structural coloring effects because they arise from the light diffraction by subwavelength gratings.Jiao Geng Xiaoguo Fang Lei Zhang Guangnan Yao Liye Xu Fengjiang Liu Weiwei Tang Liping Shi Min Qiu 2021Light(Advanced Manufacturing)2021,2,3:2
2Genome-wide signatures of the geographic expansion and breeding of soybean显示文摘Soybean is a leguminous crop that provides oil and protein. Exploring the genomic signatures of soybean evolution is crucial for breeding varieties with improved adaptability to environmental extremes. We analyzed the genome sequences of 2,214 soybeans and proposed a soybean evolutionary route, i.e., the expansion of annual wild soybean(Glycine soja Sieb. & Zucc.) from southern China and its domestication in central China, followed by the expansion and local breeding selection of its landraces(G. max(L.) Merr.). We observed that the genetic introgression in soybean landraces was mostly derived from sympatric rather than allopatric wild populations during the geographic expansion. Soybean expansion and breeding were accompanied by the positive selection of flowering time genes, including GmSPA3c. 3Morphology of irradiated PMMA membranes prepared by phase inversion with supercritical CO_2显示文摘Poly(methyl methacrylate)(PMMA)pellets are irradiated using 60Co gamma-ray in air and successfully formed by hot pressing at constant conditions.The irradiated PMMA membranes are prepared by supercritical carbon dioxide(scCO2)as a physical blowing agent using the pressure quench method.Effects of foaming conditions such as adsorbed dose,saturation temperature,pressure on the morphology and cell size of the microcellular PMMA membranes are investigated in detail.The results showed that the irradiated PMMA membranes possess spherically closed-cell structure with uniform cell size.They have a high cell density compared with virgin PMMA.The cell size uniformity becomes poor at dose lower than 10 kGy,but increases with the dose at dose higher than 10 kGy.The mean cell diameter is less than 10μm and the cell density increases with increasing dose.The average cell size of irradiated PMMA membranes decreases and cell density increases with increased saturation temperature and pressure.The changes in morphology of membranes are attributed to the gamma-ray radiation and scCO2synergistic effect.TANG Zhongfeng CHEN Youshuang QIU Guangnan TONG Bin LI Hua TANG Xiaoxing KONG Xiangbo 2013Nuclear Science and Techniques2013,24,6:0
