| 4 | Thin ceramic PZT dual-and multi-frequency pMUT arrays for photoacoustic imaging显示文摘Miniaturized ultrasonic transducer arrays with multiple frequencies are key components in endoscopic photoacoustic imaging(PAI)systems to achieve high spatial resolution and large imaging depth for biomedical applications.In this article,we report on the development of ceramic thin-film PZT-based dual-and multi-frequency piezoelectric micromachined ultrasonic transducer(pMUT)arrays and the demonstration of their PAI applications.With chips sized 3.5mm in length or 10mm in diameter,square and ring-shaped pMUT arrays incorporating as many as 2520 pMUT elements and multiple frequencies ranging from 1 MHz to 8 MHz were developed for endoscopic PAI applications.Thin ceramic PZT with a thickness of 9μm was obtained by wafer bonding and chemical mechanical polishing(CMP)techniques and employed as the piezoelectric layer of the pMUT arrays,whose piezoelectric constant d_(31)was measured to be as high as 140 pm/V.Benefiting from this high piezoelectric constant,the fabricated pMUT arrays exhibited high electromechanical coupling coefficients and large vibration displacements.In addition to electrical,mechanical,and acoustic characterization,PAI experiments with pencil leads embedded into an agar phantom were conducted with the fabricated dual-and multi-frequency pMUT arrays.Photoacoustic signals were successfully detected by pMUT elements with different frequencies and used to reconstruct single and fused photoacoustic images,which clearly demonstrated the advantages of using dual-and multi-frequency pMUT arrays to provide comprehensive photoacoustic images with high spatial resolution and large signal-to-noise ratio simultaneously. | Qincheng Zheng Haoran Wang Hao Yang Huabei Jiang Zhenfang Chen Yao Lu Philip X.-L.Feng Huikai Xie | 2022 | Microsystems & Nanoengineering2022,8,6: | 1 |

| 10 | Experimental Investigations on Boiling Heat Transfer Inside Miniature Circular Tubes Immersed in FC-72显示文摘To investigate the size effect on the characteristics of boiling heat transfer, boiling behavior of FC-72 in heated vertical miniature circular tubes immersed in a liquid pool was experimentally studied. Two AISI 304 stainless steel tubes with inner diameters of 1.10 mm and 1.55 mm correspondingly, were heated by swirled Ni-Cr wire heaters and sealed in Lucite blocks by silicon adhesive. Both the top and the bottom ends of the circular test sections were open to the liquid pool. The boiling curves and heat transfer coefficients were obtained experimentally. The boiling behaviors at the outlets of the miniature tubes were also visualized with a digital video camera. Experimental results show that the tube geometry has a significant effect on the boiling characteristics. Vapor blocking at the outlet of the smaller circular tube with a diameter of 1.10 mm caused severe boiling hysteresis phenomena. | 12 | Extensional tectonics and North China Craton destruction:Insights from the magnetic susceptibility anisotropy(AMS)of granite and metamorphic core complex显示文摘The craton is a long-lived stable geologic unit on the Earth’s surface.However,since the Mesozoic,the North China Craton(NCC)experienced large-scale lithospheric removal,the fundamental change of physical and chemical characteristics of the lithospheric mantle,widely distributed crustal deformation,and extensive magmatism.This complex evolution contrary to other cratons is called the NCC destruction.Widespread magmatism in the eastern NCC is an important response to the lithospheric removal at depth and crustal deformation on the surface.The plutons emplace under a tectonic context and therefore record the information of the tectonics;especially,the anisotropy magnetic susceptibility(AMS)pattern of the pluton was acquired with the influence of regional stress.In the past fifteen years,about 22 plutons intruding during the different periods from the Late Triassic to the late stage of the Early Cretaceous have been studied with AMS.The emplacement mechanisms of plutons and the contemporary tectonic setting were discussed to constrain their relationship with the NCC destruction in different stages of magmatism.As a result,the Late Triassic,Early Jurassic,and Late Jurassic plutons exhibit consistent N(E)-S(W)trending magnetic lineations.The early stage of Early Cretaceous plutons display NW-SE trending magnetic lineations,while the late stage of Early Cretaceous plutons show magnetic lineations with various orientations.Combined with previous studies,it is concluded that the emplacements of the plutons intruding in these three stages were controlled by weak N(E)-S(W)trending extension,regional NW-SE trending extension,and weak extension in the shallow crustal level,respectively.The transformation of regional extension from the N(E)-S(W)to the NW-SE direction was accompanied by a strain-increasing tendency.The extensional tectonics in the eastern NCC was interpreted to represent the interaction between Mongol-Okhotsk belt,PaleoPacific plate,and eastern Eurasian continent. | Wei LIN Jipei ZENG Lingtong MENG Huabiao QIU Wei WEI Zhiheng REN Yang CHU Shuangjian LI Chao SONG Qincheng WANG | 2021 | Science China Earth Sciences2021,64,9: | 1 |
