| 1 | Characterization of focal hepatic lesions with contrast-enhanced C-cube gray scale ultrasonography显示文摘AIM: To characterize enhancement patterns of focal hepatic lesions using C-cube gray scale sonography with a microbubble contrast agent and to evaluate its usefulness in differential diagnosis of hepatic lesions.METHODS: Fifty-four patients with 58 focal hepatic lesions were examined with Levovist-enhanced C-cube gray scale sonography. The final diagnosis of hepatic lesions was 29primary liver cancers, 4 metastases, 8 hemangiomas, 12focal nodular hyperplasias, 2 inflammatory pseudotumors of the liver and 3 angiomyolipomas. The initiation time of enhancement in various lesions and enhancement duration after administration of contrast agent were compared.Vascular findings in lesions were classified as peripheral enhancement, homogenous enhancement, mosaic enhancement and no enhancement depending on microbubble signals in the lesion relative to the liver parenchyma.RESULTS: The initiation time of enhancement in hemangioma (48±12 s) was significantly later compared to other lesions (P<0.05). The enhancement duration of malignancies (69±33 s in primary liver cancer, 61±23 s in metastasis) was significantly shorter compared to benign lesions (P<0.05).Intranodular enhancement appearing at arterial phase and decreasing at portal venous phase was considered characteristic for malignancy. Intranodular enhancement did not appear earlier than the liver parenchyma, and peripheral enhancement pattern was regarded as positive findings for hemangioma. Intranodular enhancement appeared in the arterial phase, and homogenous enhancement pattern sustained in the whole portal venous phase were regarded as positive findings for focal nodular hyperplasia. No microbubble signals appeared in two inflammatory pseudotumors of the liver.CONCLUSION: C-cube gray scale sonography can demonstrate dynamic intranodular enhancement in various focal hepatic lesions. | 4 | The desumoylating enzyme sentrin-specific protease 3 contributes to myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury显示文摘Sentrin-specific protease 3(SENP3), a member of the desumoylating enzyme family, is known as a redox sensor and could regulate multiple cellular signaling pathways. However, its implication in myocardial ischemia reperfusion(MIR) injury is unclear. Here, we observed that SENP3 was expressed and upregulated in the mouse heart depending on reactive oxygen species(ROS) production in response to MIR injury. By utilizing si RNA-mediated cardiac specific gene silencing, SENP3 knockdown was demonstrated to significantly reduce MIR-induced infarct size and improve cardiac function. Mechanistic studies indicated that SENP3 silencing ameliorated myocardial apoptosis mainly via suppression of endoplasmic reticulum(ER) stress and mitochondrial-mediated apoptosis pathways. By contrast, adenovirusmediated cardiac SENP3 overexpression significantly exaggerated MIR injury. Further molecular analysis revealed that SENP3 promoted mitochondrial translocation of dynamin-related protein 1(Drp1) in reperfused myocardium. In addition, mitochondrial division inhibitor-1(Mdivi-1), a pharmacological inhibitor of Drp1, significantly attenuated the exaggerated mitochondrial abnormality and cardiac injury by SENP3 overexpression after MIR injury. | 8 | Development of Amphioctopus fangsiao(Mollusca:Cephalopoda)from eggs to hatchlings:indications for the embryonic developmental management显示文摘Amphioctopus fangsiao is an important fishery resource in northern coastal China,and there is an interest to develop its commercial cultivation under controlled conditions.In this study,we describe the embryonic development of A.fangsiao from eggs to hatchlings,focusing on the formation of the mantle,eyes and arms.Results indicate that this species has several favorable characteristics for aquaculture,such as a short incubation period and a large body size of hatchlings.During the organogenesis,the primordia of organs,including the optic sac and arm crown,first appeared at stage VIII;then the mantle primordium,eye primordia and arm crown become visible at stage IX-X,and the rudiment of embryo(mantle,eyes and arms)was completely outlined at stage XI.The retinal pigment appeared yellowish at stage X-XI and gradually deepens in pigmentation in the subsequent stages,turning from yellowish to yellow,red,dark-red and eventually black.At stage XV,the primary lid fold,with only a circular opening remaining,covered the eye,and the dorsal ocular edge did not reach the ventral side until hatching(day 1-7).Afterwards,about 24 days after hatching,both the dorsal and ventral sides of eyelid could contract freely,with an oval and elongate slit remaining that was a miniature version of the adult morphology.The chromatophores and ink sac appeared at stage XIV.These observations provide a foundation for the reproductive biology and aquaculture of A.fangsiao and also offer an important reference for the research of embryonic development in related species. | Dian hang Jiang Xiaodong Zheng Yaosen Qian Qingqi Zhang | 2020 | Marine Life Science & Technology2020,2,1: | 2 |
| 9 | Dynamic Cluster Key Management Scheme on Wireless Sensor Networks显示文摘Wireless sensor networks are open architectures, so any potential threat can easily intercept, wiretap and counterfeit the information. Therefore, the safety of WSN is very important. Since any single key system cannot guarantee the security of the wireless sensor network for communications, this paper introduces a hierarchical key management scheme based on the different abilities of different sensor nodes in the clustered wireless sensor network. In this scheme, the nodes are distributed into several clusters, and a cluster head must be elected for each cluster. Private communication between cluster heads is realized through the encryption system based on the identity of each head while private communication between cluster nodes in a same cluster head is achieved through the random key preliminary distribution system. Considering the characteristics of WSN, we adopt dynamic means called dynamic cluster key management scheme to deal with master key, so master key will be updated according to the changed dynamic network topology. | 10 | Trophic Interaction in a Portunus rituberculatus Polyculture Ecosystem Based on Carbon and Nitrogen Stable Isotope Analysis显示文摘Trophic interaction among various biomass groups in a swimming crab Portunus trituberculatus polyculture pond was investigated using carbon and nitrogen stable isotope analysis. The polycultured animal species also included white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei, short-necked clam Ruditapes philippinarum, and redlip mullet Liza haematochila. The mean δ^(13)C value for all the biomass groups in polyculture ecosystem ranged from -25.61‰ to -16.60‰, and the mean δ^(15)N value ranged from 6.80‰ to 13.09‰. Significant difference in the δ^(13)C value was found between particulate organic matter(POM) and sediment organic matter(SOM)(P < 0.05), indicating that these two organic matter pools have different material sources. Assuming that a ^(13)C-enrichment factor of 1.00‰ and a ^(15)N-enrichment factor of 2.70‰ existed between consumer and prey, diets of the four cultured animals were estimated using a stable isotope mixing model. The estimated model results indicated that P. trituberculatus mainly feed on Aloidis laevis; L. vannamei mainly feed on shrimp feed; while A. laevis, R. philippinarum and L. haematochelia mainly feed on POM. Shrimp feed was also an important food source of R. philippinarum and L. haematochelia. The diets of P. trituberculatus, L. vannamei, R. philippinarum, and L. haematochila showed complementary effects in this polyculture ecosystem. With the mobility of primary users, the energy received by secondary users varies greatly with the distance from the target primary users.
