Theoretical prediction, synthesis, and crystal structure determination of new MAX phase compound V2SnC显示文摘Guided by the theoretical prediction,a new MAX phase V2SnC was synthesized experimentally for the first time by reaction of V,Sn,and C mixtures at 1000°C.The chemical composition and crystal structure of this new compound were identified by the cross-check combination of first-principles calculations,X-ray diffraction(XRD),energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDS),and high resolution scanning transmission electron microscopy(HR-STEM).The stacking sequence of V2C and Sn layers results in a crystal structure of space group P63/mmc.The a-and c-lattice parameters, which were determined by the Rietveld analysis of powder XRD pattern, are 0.2981(0)nm and 1.3470(6)nm,respectively.The atomic positions are V at 4f(1/3,2/3,0.0776(5)),Sn at 2d(2/3,1/3,1/4),and C at 2a(0,0,0).A new set of XRD data of V2SnC was also obtained.Theoretical calculations suggest that this new compound is stable with negative formation energy and formation enthalpy, satisfied Born-Huang criteria of mechanical stability, and positive phonon branches over the Brillouin zone.It also has low shear deformation resistance c44(second-order elastic constant, cij)and shear modulus(G),positive Cauchy pressure, and low Pugh’s ratio(G/B=0.500<0.571),which is regarded as a quasi-ductile MAX phase. The mechanism underpinning the quasi-ductility is associated with the presence of a metallic bond. | Qiang Xu Yanchun Zhou Haiming Zhang Anna Jiang Quanzheng Tao Jun Lu Johanna Rosén Yunhui Niu Salvatore Grasso Chunfeng Hu | 2020 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2020,9,4: | 8

Functional Neuroimaging in the New Era of Big Data显示文摘The field of functional neuroimaging has substantially advanced as a big data science in the past decade, thanks to international collaborative projects and community efforts. Here we conducted a literature review on functional neuroimaging, with focus on three general challenges in big data tasks:data collection and sharing, data infrastructure construction, and data analysis methods. The review covers a wide range of literature types including perspectives, database descriptions, methodology developments, and technical details. We show how each of the challenges was proposed and addressed, and how these solutions formed the three core foundations for the functional neuroimaging as a big data science and helped to build the current data-rich and data-driven community.Furthermore, based on our review of recent literature on the upcoming challenges and opportunities toward future scientific discoveries,we envisioned that the functional neuroimaging community needs to advance from the current foundations to better data integration infrastructure, methodology development toward improved learning capability, and multi-discipline translational research framework for this new era of big data. | Xiang Li Ning Guo Quanzheng Li | 2019 | Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2019,17,4: | 1
Connectivity-based Cortical Parcellation via Contrastive Learning on Spatial-Graph Convolution显示文摘Objective. Objective of this work is the development and evaluation of a cortical parcellation framework based on tractography-derived brain structural connectivity.Impact Statement. The proposed framework utilizes novel spatial-graph representation learning methods for solving the task of cortical parcellation,an important medical image analysis and neuroscientific problem.Introduction.The concept of“connectional fingerprint”has motivated many investigations on the connectivity-based cortical parcellation, especially with the technical advancement of diffusion imaging.Previous studies on multiple brain regions have been conducted with promising results. However, performance and applicability of these models are limited by the relatively simple computational scheme and the lack of effective representation of brain imaging data.Methods.We propose the Spatial-graph Convolution Parcellation(SGCP)framework,a two-stage deep learning-based modeling for the graph representation brain imaging. In the first stage,SGCP learns an effective embedding of the input data through a self-supervised contrastive learning scheme with the backbone encoder of a spatial-graph convolution network. In the second stage,SGCP learns a supervised classifier to perform voxel-wise classification for parcellating the desired brain region.Results.SGCP is evaluated on the parcellation task for 5 brain regions in a 15-subject DWI dataset.Performance comparisons between SGCP,traditional parcellation methods, and other deep learning-based methods show that SGCP can achieve superior performance in all the cases.Conclusion.Consistent good performance of the proposed SGCP framework indicates its potential to be used as a general solution for investigating the regional/subregional composition of human brain based on one or more connectivity measurements. | Peiting You Xiang Li Fan Zhang Quanzheng Li | 2022 | Biomedical Engineering Frontiers2022,3,1: | 0
Cultivated hawthorn(Crataegus pinnatifida var.major)genome sheds light on the evolution of Maleae(apple tribe)显示文摘Cultivated hawthorn(Crataegus pinnatifida var.major)is an important medicinal and edible plant with a long history of use for health protection in China.Herein,we provide a de novo chromosomelevel genome sequence of the hawthorn cultivar“Qiu Jinxing.”We assembled an 823.41 Mb genome encoding 40571 genes and further anchored the779.24 Mb sequence into 17 pseudo-chromosomes,which account for 94.64%of the assembled genome.Phylogenomic analyses revealed that cultivated hawthorn diverged from other species within the Maleae(apple tribe)at approximately 35.4 Mya.Notably, genes involved in the flavonoid and triterpenoid biosynthetic pathways have been significantly amplified in the hawthorn genome. In addition, our results indicated that the Maleae share a unique ancient tetraploidization event;however,no recent independent whole-genome duplication event was specifically detected in hawthorn. The amplification of non-specific long terminal repeat retrotransposons contributed the most to the expansion of the hawthorn genome.Furthermore,we identified two paleo-sub-genomes in extant species of Maleae and found that these two sub-genomes showed different rearrangement mechanisms. We also reconstructed the ancestral chromosomes of Rosaceae and discussed two possible paleopolyploid origin patterns(autopolyploidization or allopolyploidization)of Maleae.Overall, our study provides an improved context for understanding the evolution of Maleae species, and this new highquality reference genome provides a useful resource for the horticultural improvement of hawthorn. | Ticao Zhang Qin Qiao Xiao Du Xiao Zhang Yali Hou Xin Wei Chao Sun Rengang Zhang Quanzheng Yun MJames CCrabbe Yves Van de Peer Wenxuan Dong | 2022 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,8: | 0
Synthesis of atomically dispersed cationic nickel-confined mesoporous ZSM-48(ANMZ-48)directed by metal complexes in amphiphilic molecules显示文摘The synthesis of mesoporous zeolite-anchored atomically dispersed metal catalysts(ADCs)is a considerable challenge in chemistry and materials science. Here we report the synthesis of atomically dispersed cationic nickel-confined mesoporous ZSM-48(ANMZ-48)by in situ hydrothermal reaction employing a designed tri-functional metal complex template,by which the triquaternary ammonium groups in the hydrophilic region direct the formation of ZSM-48 zeolite;the aromatic groups in the hydrophobic tail generate the mesopores through π-π stacking;and the complexes formed by nickel ions coordinated with terpyridyl groups generate atomically dispersed Ni2+confined in zeolite frameworks due to the strong sintering resistance generated by the strong coordination interaction. The ANMZ-48 is consisting of stacking of sheet-like ZSM-48 domains connected by multiply crystal twinning sharing the common(011)plane,generating abundant of imbedded mesopores with the uniform thickness of~2.4 nm and with the width of 10-50 nm.The excellent catalytic activity and stability of ANMZ-48 were also reflected in the dry reforming of methane(DRM)reaction. | Yu Chen Quanzheng Deng Yiru Mao Yuxi Fang Zhihua Cao Honggen Peng Shunai Che Lu Han | 2024 | Science China Chemistry2024,67,1: | 0
Stability of C-regularized Semigroups显示文摘Let T = (T(t))t≥0 be a bounded C-regularized semigroup generated by A on a Banach space X and R(C) be dense in X. We show that if there is a dense subspace Y of X such that for every x ∈ Y, σu(A, Cx), the set of all points λ ∈ iR to which (λ - A)^-1 Cx can not be extended holomorphically, is at most countable and σr(A) N iR = Ф, then T is stable. A stability result for the case of R(C) being non-dense is also given. Our results generalize the work on the stability of strongly continuous senfigroups. | MiaoLI QuanZHENG | 2004 | Acta Mathematica Sinica,English Series2004,20,5: | 0
Leaf litter and crop residue decomposition in ginkgo agroforestry systems in eastern China: Soil fauna diversity and abundance, microbial biomass and nutrient release显示文摘The response of soil fauna to the litter decomposition process has received considerable attention, but this effect has not been fully examined in agroforestry systems.A 1-year in situ decomposition experiment was carried out in a pure ginkgo plantation and two ginkgo agroforestry systems using a litterbag method(11 different treatments were tested in three systems). We found that the application of different organic materials(crop residues)produced positive effects on the number of soil fauna in the ginkgo planting systems;the mixture of ginkgo leaves and corn leaves was the best performing treatment.Collembola and Acarina were the predominant groups in the litter bags and were mainly responsible for the differences among the treatments.Litter mixing promoted the abundance, richness, and diversity of soil fauna, and significant differences regarding the Shannon–Wiener index of the soil fauna were observed among the 11 treatments in July.Significantly higher soil MBC(microbial biomass carbon)and MBN(microbial biomass nitrogen)were observed in agroforestry systems than in pure ginkgo plantations. These results suggest that the practice of intercrop residue application plays an important role in enhancing soil ecosystem function in ginkgo agroforestry systems and may ultimately contribute to sustainable intercrop production, soil fertility, and local economic diversity. | Jing Guo Guibin Wang Yaqiong Wu Quanzheng Geng Fuliang Cao | 2019 | Journal of Forestry Research2019,30,5: | 0
