6G:Ubiquitously Extending to the Vast Underwater World of the Oceans显示文摘1.Introduction There is a significant gap between atmospheric space and undersea space for wireless radio transmission. The interface between air and seawater is a barrier to prevent radio wave transmission across the boundary. This is because seawater is an electrically conducting medium, and radio waves suffer significant absorptive attenuation there. As a result, there is no internet, reliable mobile communication,high-quality video, and long-distance duplex wireless communication in the underwater world of oceans. It is pitiful since the oceans share 71%of the surface of our planet and are of great importance to our economy, ecology, and living environment. | Yuanliang Ma Qunfei Zhang Honglei Wang | 2022 | Engineering2022,8,1: | 7
Waveform diversity based sonar system for target localization显示文摘A new monostatic array system taking advantage of diverse waveforms to improve the performance of underwater target localization is proposed.Unlike the coherent signals between different elements in common active array, the transmitted signals from different elements here are spatially orthogonal waveforms which allow for array processing in the transit mode and result in an extension of array aperture. The mathematical derivation of Capon estimator for this sonar system is described in detail. And the performance of this orthogonal-waveform based sonar is analyzed and compared with that of its phased-array counterpart by water tank experiments.Experimental results show that this sonar system could achieve 12 dB-15 dB additional array gain over its phased-array counterpart, which means a doubling of maximum detection range. Moreover, the angular resolution is significantly improved at lower SNR. | Lijie Zhang dianguo Huang Yong Jin Yunshan Hou Min Jiang Qunfei Zhang | 2010 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2010,21,2: | 6
Multi-Channel Iterative FDE for Single Carrier Block Transmission over Underwater Acoustic Channels显示文摘Recently, single carrier block transmission(SCBT) has received much attention in high-rate phase-coherent underwater acoustic communication.However,minimum-mean-square-error(MMSE) linear FDE may suffer performance loss in the severely time dispersive underwater acoustic channel. To combat the channel distortion, a novel multi-channel receiver with maximum ratio combining and a low complex T/4 fractional iterative frequency domain equalization(FDE) is investigated to improve diversity gain and the bit error rate(BER) performance. The proposed method has been verified by the real data from a lake underwater acoustic communication test in November 2011. At 1.8 km, the useful data rates are around 1500 and 3000 bits/s for BPSK and QPSK respectively. The results show the improvements of system performance. Compared with MMSE FDE system, the output SNR improvement is 6.9 d B, and the BER is from 10-3 to no error bits for BPSK. The output SNR improvement is 5.3 d B, and the BER is from 1.91×10-2 to 2.2×10-4for QPSK. | HE Chengbing HUO Siyu ZHANG Qunfei WANG Han HUANG Jianguo | 2015 | China Communications2015,12,8: | 3
M-ary CDMA multiuser underwater acoustic communication and its experimental results显示文摘A novel M-ary code division multiple access (M-ary CDMA) underwater acoustic communication (UAC) that utilizes quasi-orthogonal sequences has been proposed for the multiple mobile unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV).Its performance has been verified in both four-user synchronous and three-user asynchronous scenarios through a lake experiment over a very shallow-water channel. At a chip rate of 2 kilochips per second, good bandwidth efficiency and robust links have been achieved both at 5 and 15 km distances. The performance of M-ary CDMA in mobile condition (3 m/s) is demonstrated by using the recorded lake experimental data. Experimental results show that the proposed scheme is suitable for multi-user communication platform in long-range shallow-water channel with simple receiver algorithms. | HE ChengBing HUANG JianGuo YAN ZhengHua ZHANG QunFei | 2011 | Science China(Information Sciences)2011,54,8: | 3
Magnetic property and recording performance of chemical deposition CoP thin films显示文摘The thickness of CoP thin films prepared by wet chemical deposition is of crucial importance on magnetic property and recording perform-ance. The coercivity of CoP films decreased with increasing film thickness. The coercivity was 45.37 kA m 1 at the thickness of 300 nm, and decreased to 21.65 kA m 1 at 5.7 μm. Recording performance tests indicate that, for drums with the same size, different recorded magnetic pole density have different thickness requirements. For 40 mm diameter magnetic drum, the optimal CoP thickness is 3~10 μm for 256 re-corded magnetic poles, 1~2 μm for 512 recorded magnetic poles, and 500~800 nm for 1024 recorded magnetic poles. | Wang, Haicheng Zhou, Qunfei Teng, Jiao Wang, Lijin Yu, Guanghua | 2012 | Rare Metals2012,31,3: | 3
High resolution methods for delay estimation显示文摘Recently most researches in the field of delay estimation mcthods are concentrated on adaptive deconvolution. But It’s well known that minimum delay resolution using deconvolution methods is the sampling interval of the original data. It is impossible to obtain cnough delay resolution in the case of short data records. In this paper, the limitation of the commonly used delay estimation methods are pointed out firstly. Then, two delay estimation methods with high resolution are presented, which are named delay- frequency estimation and eigenstructure methods. It’s indicated that these two methods can resolve delays spaced closer than sampling interval. The principle and characteristics of them are described in detail, and the corresponding simulation results are given. At the last, a comparison table is listed to show the performance of main methods in delay estimation. | ZHANG Qunfei HUANG Jianguo and XIE Yiqing(College of Marine Engineering. | 7 | Study on the long-distance target apperception techniques for underwater vehicles显示文摘The limited physical size for autonomous underwater vehicles (AUV) or unmanned underwater vehicles (UUV) makes it difficult to acquire enough space gain for localizing long-distance targets.A new technique about long-distance target apperception with passive synthetic aperture array for underwater vehicles is presented.First, a synthetic aperture-processing algorithm based on the FFT transform in the beam space (BSSAP) is introduced. Then, the study on the flank array passive long-distance apperception techniques in the frequency scope of 11-18 kHz is implemented from the view of improving array gains, detection probability and augmenting detected range under a certain sea environment. The results show that the BSSAP algorithm can extend the aperture effectively and improve detection probability.Because of the augment of the transmission loss, the detected range has the trend of decline with the increase of frequency under the same target source level. The synthesized array could improve the space gain by nearly 7 dB and SNR is increased by about 5 dB.The detected range is enhanced to nearly 2km under the condition of 108-118 dB of the target source level for AUV system in measurement interval of nearly 1s. | Yang Xudong Huang Jianguo Zhang Qunfei Tang Qi | 2007 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2007,18,3: | 2

Response characteristics of sonar receiver under intense sound pulse显示文摘For anti-jamming and anti-countermeasure techniques of the sonar receiver, the response characteristics of the automatic gain control (AGC) circuit and the survivability of the prime circuit under strong interference are analyzed by simulations and experiments. An AGC simulation model based on the voltage control amplifier VCA810 prototype is proposed. Then static and dynamic simulations are realized with single frequency signal and linear frequency modulated (LFM) signal commonly used in the active sonar. Based on intense sound pulse (ISP) interference experiments, the real-time response characteristics of each module of the receiver are studied to verify the correctness of the model as well as the simulation results. Simulation and experiment results show that, under 252 dB/20 μs ISP interference, the specific sonar receiver will produce sustained cut top oscillation above 30 ms, which may affect the receiver and block the regular sonar signal. | Kaizhuo Lei Qunfei Zhang Ziliang Qiao Lingling Zhang Qiang Huang Shiqing Wang | 2012 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2012,23,6: | 1
Channel Estimation for OTFS System over Doubly Spread Sparse Acoustic Channels显示文摘This paper addresses sparse channels estimation problem for the generalized linear models(GLM)in the orthogonal time frequency space(OTFS)underwater acoustic(UWA)system.OTFS works in the delay-Doppler domain, where timevarying channels are characterized as delay-Doppler impulse responses. In fact,a typical doubly spread UWA channel is associated with several resolvable paths, which exhibits a structured sparsity in the delayDoppler domain. To leverage the structured sparsity of the doubly spread UWA channel,we develop a structured sparsity-based generalized approximated message passing(GAMP)algorithm for reliable channel estimation in quantized OTFS systems. The proposed algorithm has a lower computational complexity compared to the conventional Bayesian algorithm. In addition, the expectation maximum algorithm is employed to learn the sparsity ratio and the noise variance.Simulation and experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has superior performance and low computational complexity for quantized OTFS systems. | Yang Zhang Qunfei Zhang Chengbing He Chao Long | 2023 | China Communications2023,20,1: | 1

New method for detection fusion of MAC based on DCM and NP rule显示文摘The problem of distributed detection fusion using multiple sensors for remote underwater target detection is studied. Considering that multiple access channel (MAC) schemes are able to offer high efficiency in bandwidth usage and consume less energy than the parallel access channel (PAC), the MAC scheme is introduced into the underwater target detection field. The model of underwater distributed detection fusion based on MAC schemes is established. A new method for detection fusion of MAC based on deflection coefficient maximization (DCM) and Neyman-Pearson (NP) rule is proposed. Under the power constraint of local sensors, this paper uses the DCM theory to derive the optimal weight coefficients and offsets. The closed-form expressions of detection probability and false alarm probability for fusion systems are obtained. The optimal detection performance of fusion systems is analyzed and deeply researched. Both the theory analysis and simulation experiments indicate that the proposed method could improve the detection performance and decrease the error probability effectively under power constraints of local sensors and low signal to noise ratio. | Zhenhua Xu Jianguo Huang Qunfei Zhang | 2012 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2012,23,4: | 1
Bounds for the Blow-Up Time on the Pseudo-Parabolic Equation with Nonlocal Term显示文摘We investigate the initial boundary value problem of the pseudo-parabolic equation ut-/△ut-/△u=φuu+|u|p-1u,whereφu is the Newtonian potential, which was studied by Zhu et al.(Appl.Math.Comput.,329(2018)38-51),and the global existence and the finite time blow-up of the solutions were studied by the potential well method under the subcritical and critical initial energy levels. We in this note determine the upper and lower bounds for the blow-up time. While estimating the upper bound of blow-up time,we also find a sufficient condition of the solution blowingup in finite time at arbitrary initial energy level. Moreover,we also refine the upper bounds for the blow-up time under the negative initial energy. | LONG Qunfei | 2020 | Journal of Partial Differential Equations2020,33,3: | 1

Simultaneous estimation of time-delay and direction of arrival for underwater multitarget by using extended ESPRIT显示文摘Multiple sources localization is an important technique applied in many areasl such as sonar, radar, biomedical, and geology exploration. High resolution localization needs to employ jointly two sorts of high resolution estimators, time-delay estimator and Direction Of Arrival (DOA) estimator, both of which are tough problems attracting many signal processing researchers. There is also another difficulty that is to pair two groups of parameters in timedelay and DOA domains. In underwater environment, multiple sources localization research faces more difficulties because of the long duration emitted wave, limit aperture of array, and short data record of echoes. In this paper, an new extended ESPRIT (Estimation of Signal Parameters via Rotational Invariance Technique) method is presented. With a single echo wave, both time-delay and DOA parameters of multiple sources are estimated simultaneously. No additional pairing algorithm is needed to obtain the source locations. The performance of the new estimators and the probability of correct pairing is given by computer simulations, andthe results shows that good estimation can be obtained in low SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) for multiple sources localization. | ZHANG Qunfei HUANG Jianguo(Northwestern Polytechnical University)BAO Zhen(Xidian University) | 1999 | Chinese Journal of Acoustics1999,18,1: | 0
Insights into the Functionalization of the Methylsalicyclic Moiety during the Biosynthesis of Chlorothricin by Comparative Kinetic Assays of the Activities of Two KAS Ⅲ-like Acyltransferases显示文摘Summary of main observation and conclusion Chlorothricin (CHL),an archetypal member of the family of spirotetronate antibiotics, possesses a tetronate-containing pentacyclic aglycone that is conjugated with a modified methylsalicyclic acid (MSA) moiety through a disaccharide linkage.MSA is a polyketide product assembled by the iterative type Ⅰ polyketide synthase ChlB1.incorporation of this pharmaceutically important moiety into CHL relies on the activities of two distinct β-Ketoacyl-ACP synthase Ⅲ(KAS Ⅲ)-Iike acyltransferases,ChlB3 and ChlB6,which function together to coordinate the transfer of MSA through ChlB2,a discrete acyl carrier protein (ACP).During the maturation of CHL,MSA needs to be further functionalized by C2-O-methylation and C5-chlorination;however,timing of this functionalization process remains poorly understood. In this study,we report comparative kinetic assays of the activities of the two KAS Ⅲ-like acyltransferases ChlB3 and ChlB6 using substrates that vary in substitution extent and ACP carrier.ChlB3 prefers to transfer the immediately assembled 6-methyI-MSA moiety from ChlB1-ACP to the discrete ACP ChlB2,from which this moiety is preferred to be transferred directly onto the molecule desmethylsalicyl-CHL prior to C2-O-methylation and C5-chlorination.Consequently,MSA functionalization appears to occur at the molecule level rather than at the covalently tethered protein level,i.e.,ChlB1-ACP or ChlB2.Both ChlB3 and ChlB6 are flexible in substrate tolerance, holding promise for CHL engineering-based structural diversity by using variable MSA moiety. | Xuan Yi Qunfei Zhao Zhenhua Tian Xinying Jia Weiguo Cao Wen Liu Qing-Li He | 2019 | Chinese Journal of Chemistry2019,37,8: | 0
Research on the Strategy of Underwater United Detection Fusion and Communication Using Multi-sensor显示文摘In order to solve the distributed detection fusion problem of underwater target detection, when the signal to noise ratio (SNR) of the acoustic channel is low, a new strategy for united detection fusion and communication using multiple sensors was proposed. The performance of detection fusion was studied and compared based on the Neyman-Pearson principle when the binary phase shift keying (BPSK) and on-off keying (OOK) modes were used by the local sensors. The comparative simulation and analysis between the optimal likelihood ratio test and the proposed strategy was completed, and both the theoretical analysis and simulation indicate that using the proposed new strategy could improve the detection performance effectively. In theory, the proposed strategy of united detection fusion and communication is of great significance to the establishment of an underwater target detection system. | Zhenhua Xu Jianguo Huang Hai Huang Qunfei Zhang | 2011 | Journal of Marine Science and Application2011,10,3: | 0
Theoretical convergence analysis of complex Gaussian kernel LMS algorithm显示文摘With the vigorous expansion of nonlinear adaptive filtering with real-valued kernel functions, its counterpart complex kernel adaptive filtering algorithms were also sequentially proposed to solve the complex-valued nonlinear problems arising in almost all real-world applications. This paper firstly presents two schemes of the complex Gaussian kernel-based adaptive filtering algorithms to illustrate their respective characteristics. Then the theoretical convergence behavior of the complex Gaussian kernel least mean square(LMS) algorithm is studied by using the fixed dictionary strategy. The simulation results demonstrate that the theoretical curves predicted by the derived analytical models consistently coincide with the Monte Carlo simulation results in both transient and steady-state stages for two introduced complex Gaussian kernel LMS algonthms using non-circular complex data. The analytical models are able to be regard as a theoretical tool evaluating ability and allow to compare with mean square error(MSE) performance among of complex kernel LMS(KLMS) methods according to the specified kernel bandwidth and the length of dictionary. | Wei Gao Jianguo Huang Jing Han Qunfei Zhang | 2016 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2016,27,1: | 0
Unknown fault detection for EGT multi-temperature signals based on self-supervised feature learning and unary classification显示文摘Intelligent tpower systems scanimprove operational efficiency by installing a large number of sensors.Data-based methods of supervised learning have gained popularity because of available Big Data and computing resources. However, the common paradigm of the loss function in supervised learning requires large amounts of labeled data and cannot process unlabeled data. The scarcity of fault data and a large amount of normal data in practical use pose great challenges to fault detection algorithms. Moreover, sensor data faults in power systems are dynamically changing and pose another challenge. Therefore,a fault detection method based on self-supervised feature learning was proposed to address the above two challenges.First,self-supervised learning was employed to extract features under various working conditions only using large amounts of normal data. The self-supervised representation learning uses a sequence-based Triplet Loss. The extracted features of large amounts of normal data are then fed into a unary classifier. The proposed method is validated on exhaust gas temperatures(EGTs)of a real-world 9F gas turbine with sudden, progressive, and hybrid faults.A comprehensive comparison study was also conducted with various feature extractors and unary classifiers. The results show that the proposed method can achieve a relatively high recall for all kinds of typical faults. The model can detect progressive faults very quickly and achieve improved results for comparison without feature extractors in terms ofF1 score. | Xilian YANG Kanru CHENG Qunfei ZHAO Yuzhang WANG | 2023 | Frontiers in Energy2023,17,4: | 0
