| 1 | Emission and performance study emulsi ed orange peel oil biodiesel in an aspirated research engine显示文摘This study paves the way on reducing smoke emission and NO_x emissions of research diesel engine by detailing the e ect of water addition in biodiesel. Fuel samples were prepared with di erent concentrations of water in orange peel oil biodiesel(94% waste orange peel oil biodiesel + 4% water + 2% Span 80(WOPOBDE1) and 90% waste orange peel oil biodiesel + 8% water + 2% Span 80(WOPOBDE2). Span 80 was employed as a nonionic surfactant, which emulsifies water in biodiesel. Experimental results revealed that the nitrogen oxides and smoke emission of orange peel oil biodiesel emulsion were reduced by 11%–19% and 3%–21%, respectively, compared to that of neat orange peel oil biodiesel(WOPOBD). In addition, the introduction of orange peel oil–water emulsions in the diesel engine considerably reduced the emissions of unburned hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide. The overall hydrocarbon emission of WOPOBDE2 was 12.2% lower than that of WOPOBD and 16.3% lower than that of diesel. The overall CO emission of WOPOBDE2 was 17% lower than that of base fuel(WOPOBD) and 21.8% lower than that of diesel. | 3 | Ensemble Variable Selection for Naive Bayes to Improve Customer Behaviour Analysis显示文摘Executing customer analysis in a systemic way is one of the possible solutions for each enterprise to understand the behavior of consumer patterns in an efficient and in-depth manner.Further investigation of customer patterns helps thefirm to develop efficient decisions and in turn,helps to optimize the enter-prise’s business and maximizes consumer satisfaction correspondingly.To con-duct an effective assessment about the customers,Naive Bayes(also called Simple Bayes),a machine learning model is utilized.However,the efficacious of the simple Bayes model is utterly relying on the consumer data used,and the existence of uncertain and redundant attributes in the consumer data enables the simple Bayes model to attain the worst prediction in consumer data because of its presumption regarding the attributes applied.However,in practice,the NB pre-mise is not true in consumer data,and the analysis of these redundant attributes enables simple Bayes model to get poor prediction results.In this work,an ensem-ble attribute selection methodology is performed to overcome the problem with consumer data and to pick a steady uncorrelated attribute set to model with the NB classifier.In ensemble variable selection,two different strategies are applied:one is based upon data perturbation(or homogeneous ensemble,same feature selector is applied to a different subsamples derived from the same learning set)and the other one is based upon function perturbation(or heterogeneous ensemble different feature selector is utilized to the same learning set).Further-more,the feature set captured from both ensemble strategies is applied to NB indi-vidually and the outcome obtained is computed.Finally,the experimental outcomes show that the proposed ensemble strategies perform efficiently in choosing a steady attribute set and increasing NB classification performance efficiently. | R.Siva Subramanian D.Prabha | 2022 | Computer Systems Science & Engineering2022,41,4: | 0 |

| 5 | Virtual screening of the inhibitors targeting at the viral protein 40 of Ebola virus显示文摘Background:The Ebola virus is highly pathogenic and destructive to humans and other primates.The Ebola virus encodes viral protein 40(VP40),which is highly expressed and regulates the assembly and release of viral particles in the host cell.Because VP40 plays a prominent role in the life cycle of the Ebola virus,it is considered as a key target for antiviral treatment.However,there is currently no FDA-approved drug for treating Ebola virus infection,resulting in an urgent need to develop effective antiviral inhibitors that display good safety profiles in a short duration.Methods:This study aimed to screen the effective lead candidate against Ebola infection.First,the lead molecules were filtered based on the docking score.Second,Lipinski rule of five and the other drug likeliness properties are predicted to assess the safety profile of the lead candidates.Finally,molecular dynamics simulations was performed to validate the lead compound.Results:Our results revealed that emodin-8-beta-D-glucoside from the Traditional Chinese Medicine Database(TCMD)represents an active lead candidate that targets the Ebola virus by inhibiting the activity of VP40,and displays good pharmacokinetic properties.Conclusion:This report will considerably assist in the development of the competitive and robust antiviral agents against Ebola infection. | V.Karthick N.Nagasundaram C.George Priya Doss Chiranjib Chakraborty R.Siva Aiping Lu Ge Zhang Hailong Zhu | 2016 | Infectious Diseases of Poverty2016,5,1: | 0 |
