1neuroendocrine 的罐头成像模式肝的转移预言反应 yttruim-90 radioembolotherapy?显示文摘 AIM:To evaluate the response to treatment in patients with neuroendocrine tumor liver metastases following yttrium-90 ( 90 Y) radioembolotherapy, as a function of image patterns at presentation for 90 Y radioembolotherapy. METHODS: The study cohort consisted of patients with hepatic metastatic neuroendocrine tumors treated with 90 Y at our institution during a two-year time period. Hepatic metastases were evaluated on a pretherapy study assessing relative arterial enhancement compared to liver, lesion size, necrosis of the lesion, and associated tumor burden in the liver. We used six response criteria: Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST) size, World Health Organization (WHO) size, European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL) necrosis guidelines, Choi size, Choi necrosis and combination of Choi size and necrosis. RESULTS: About 65 lesions in 17 patients met study criteria and formed the cohort. Statistically significant response was found for lesions < 5 cm vs those ≥5 cm with RECIST (P = 0.04), WHO (P = 0.002) and combined Choi criteria (P = 0.02). Hyperenhancing lesions demonstrated greater response only with the Choi size criteria (P = 0.04). Lesions with ≤ 50% necrosis on the pre-scan had statistically significant greater response with the Choi necrosis criteria (P = 0.01). There was no statistical significance for response comparing lesions < 2 cm vs ≥ 2 cm or in comparing the degrees of tumor burden. 9Suitable triggering algorithms for detecting strong ground motions using MEMS accelerometers显示文摘With the recent development of digital Micro Electro Mechanical System(MEMS) sensors, the cost of monitoring and detecting seismic events in real time can be greatly reduced. Ability of MEMS accelerograph to record a seismic event depends upon the efficiency of triggering algorithm, apart from the sensor′s sensitivity. There are several classic triggering algorithms developed to detect seismic events, ranging from basic amplitude threshold to more sophisticated pattern recognition. Algorithms based on STA/LTA are reported to be computationally efficient for real time monitoring. In this paper, we analyzed several STA/LTA algorithms to check their efficiency and suitability using data obtained from the Quake Catcher Network(network of MEMS accelerometer stations). We found that most of the STA/LTA algorithms are suitable for use with MEMS accelerometer data to accurately detect seismic events. 13A review on emerging materials with focus on BiI_(3) for room-temperature semiconductor radiation detectors显示文摘Purpose Considerable advances in the fundamental knowledge and applications of radiation science have led to significant progress and development of room-temperature semiconductor radiation detectors(RTSD).The RTSDs technologies are continuously evolving with accelerated research and material engineering in the last decade.Significant scientific and technological advancements have led to development of high-performance radiation detectors with high signal-to-noise ratio(SNR),better sensitivity,faster response and higher-resolution with capability of desired room-temperature operation.This paper is a review on emerging semiconductor radiation detector materials with a deeper insight into the prospective role of Bismuth tri-iodide(BiI_(3))for room-temperature radiation detectors.Methods An introduction of the state of art of most developed semiconductor materials,i.e.,cadmium telluride(CdTe),mercury iodide(HgI_(2)),lead iodide(PbI_(2)),etc.,and a critical examination of properties,shortcomings and challenges related to their synthesis have been elaborated.Polymer-semiconductor composites with desirable properties and their integration into detector devices is also presented.Subsequent sections discuss the role of BiI_(3) as an emerging radiation detector material for room-temperature operation with an in-depth discussion on the role of defects in charge transportation and electrode configuration.Furthermore,the current challenges along with the future prospects of these materials for radiation detection to promote continuous innovation and practical applications are also elaborated.Conclusion The comprehensive review on latest developments in room-temperature radiation detector materials is expected to help establish a technological roadmap for the synthesis,fabrication and commercialization of novel materials for development of efficient radiation detectors.Ritu Chaudhari Chhaya Ravi Kant Alka Garg Surender Kumar Sharma 2023Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2023,7,4:0
14Hematological indices as predictors of mortality in dengue shock syndrome: A retrospective study显示文摘Objective:To explore predictive hematological parameters on admission which are associated with mortality in NS1 positive dengue shock syndrome patients.Methods:Demographic characteristics,hematological parameters,and the outcome of NS1 positive dengue shock syndrome patients without any comorbidity and coexisting infections were collected from the Intensive Care Unit and the results were compared between the survivor and non-survivor groups.Results:The mean age was(30.77±11.48)years and 56(56.6%)patients were males.Out of the total 99 patients,72(72.27%)patients were successfully discharged and 27(27.27%)patients eventually succumbed to death.The most common hematological finding was thrombocytopenia(95.95%),followed by anemia(52.52%)and decreased mean platelet volume(37.37%).After controlling other variables,logistic regression analysis showed that absolute neutrophil count and mean platelet volume were associated with mortality.Conclusions:Total leucocyte count,absolute neutrophil count,and total platelet count are significantly higher,and mean platelet volume is significantly lower in the non-survivor group as compared to the survivor group.Absolute neutrophil count and mean platelet volume are predictors associated with mortality.L.A.Gauri Ketan Bhatnagar Parvez Sameja Hardeva Ram Nehara Kuldeep Saini Ravi Dutt Bhupen Bhatnagar Mohit Singh Khokhar Vikas Kumar Anjali Garg 2022Journal of Acute Disease2022,11,4:0
15Thermal Comfort Analysis of Personalized Conditioning System and Performance Assessment with Different Radiant Cooling Systems显示文摘The radiant systems consume less energy and provide better thermal comfort as compared to the conventional system,but the main drawback of radiant technology is inability to cater the latent load and condensation.This problem has engaged researchers to push their emphasis on Personalized Conditioning System(PCS).It forms a micro-climate region near the occupant.This study is aimed at PCS combined with a radiant conditioning system,which evaluates the performance of the PCS and compares it with different radiant cooling systems.A radiant cubicle was used to investigate the performance of the PCS for both heating&cooling modes.For heating mode,the Standard Effective Temperature(SET)was calculated with the help of thermal comfort surveys which were in a range of 23.4℃ to 27.3℃.For cooling mode,four different cases compared the performance of the system which are:Conventional Air Conditioning System(CACS),Radiant Cooled Ceiling System(RCCS),Personalized Radiant Conditioning System(PRCS),and both PRCS-RCCS coupled.It was observed that PRCS alone reaches the thermal comfort criteria with low energy consumption.The energy-saving of RCCS-PRCS was achieved 38%when compared with CACS.It can be concluded that PRCS is a new step in the field of thermal comfort.Vaibhav Rai Khare Ravi Garg Jyotirmay Mathur Vishal Garg 2023Energy and Built Environment2023,4,1:0
