| 8 | Mogroside IIE,an in vivo metabolite of sweet agent,alleviates acute lung injury via Pla2g2a-EGFR inhibition显示文摘In the face of increasingly serious environmental pollution,the health of human lung tissues is also facing serious threats.Mogroside IIE(M2E)is the main metabolite of sweetening agents mogrosides from the anti-tussive Chinese herbal Siraitia grosvenori.The study elucidated the anti-inflammatory action and molecular mechanism of M2E against acute lung injury(ALI).A lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced ALI model was established in mice and MH-S cells were employed to explore the protective mechanism of M2E through the western blotting,co-immunoprecipitation,and quantitative real time-PCR analysis.The results indicated that M2E alleviated LPS-induced lung injury through restraining the activation of secreted phospholipase A2 type IIA(Pla2g2a)-epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR).The interaction of Pla2g2a and EGFR was identified by co-immunoprecipitation.In addition,M2E protected ALI induced with LPS against inflammatory and damage which were significantly dependent upon the downregulation of AKT and m TOR via the inhibition of Pla2g2a-EGFR.Pla2g2a may represent a potential target for M2E in the improvement of LPS-induced lung injury,which may represent a promising strategy to treat ALI. | Weichao Lü Guoqing Ren Kuniyoshi Shimizu Renshi Li Chaofeng Zhang | 2024 | Food Science and Human Wellness2024,13,1: | 0 |
| 9 | OSMR is a potential driver of inflammation in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis显示文摘Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is a neurodegenerative disease,and the molecular mechanism underlying its pathology remains poorly understood.However,inflammation is known to play an important role in the development of this condition.To identify driver genes that affect the inflammatory response in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis,as well as potential treatment targets,it is crucial to analyze brain tissue samples from patients with both sporadic amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and C9orf72-related amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.Therefore,in this study we used a network-driven gene analysis tool,NetBID2.0,which is based on SJARACNe,a scalable algorithm for the reconstruction of accurate cellular networks,to experimentally analyze sequencing data from patients with sporadic amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.The results showed that the OSMR gene is pathogenic in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and participates in the progression of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis by mediating the neuroinflammatory response.Furthermore,there were differences in OSMR activity and expression between patients with sporadic amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and those with C9orf72-related amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.These findings suggest that OSMR may be a diagnostic and prognostic marker for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. | Wenzhi Chen Shishi Jiang Shu Li Cheng Li Renshi Xu | 2024 | Neural Regeneration Research2024,19,11: | 0 |
| 10 | The pathogenic mechanism of TAR DNA-binding protein 43(TDP-43)in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis显示文摘The onset of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is usually characterized by focal death of both upper and/or lower motor neurons occurring in the motor cortex,basal ganglia,brainstem,and spinal cord,and commonly involves the muscles of the upper and/or lower extremities,and the muscles of the bulbar and/or respiratory regions.However,as the disease progresses,it affects the adjacent body regions,leading to generalized muscle weakness,occasionally along with memory,cognitive,behavioral,and language impairments;respiratory dysfunction occurs at the final stage of the disease.The disease has a complicated pathophysiology and currently,only riluzole,edaravone,and phenylbutyrate/taurursodiol are licensed to treat amyotrophic lateral sclerosis in many industrialized countries.The TAR DNA-binding protein 43 inclusions are observed in 97%of those diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.This review provides a preliminary overview of the potential effects of TAR DNAbinding protein 43 in the pathogenesis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis,including the abnormalities in nucleoplasmic transport,RNA function,post-translational modification,liquid-liquid phase separation,stress granules,mitochondrial dysfunction,oxidative stress,axonal transport,protein quality control system,and non-cellular autonomous functions(e.g.,glial cell functions and prion-like propagation). | Xinxin Wang Yushu Hu Renshi Xu | 2024 | Neural Regeneration Research2024,19,4: | 0 |
| 11 | Myopathological features in MELAS syndrome without significant changes in muscle biopsy pathology显示文摘Mitochondrial encephalomyopathy, lactic acidosis, and stroke-like episodes (MELAS) are common types of mitochondrial encephalomyopathy. The involved muscular pathology is characterized by typical changes of mitochondrial abnormalities. Gene screening has been the gold diagnostic standard for MELAS diagnosis. This study presents three primary MELAS patients, with an age of onset from 13 to 18 years, including one patient with seizure, and two with headache and vomiting. All patients had a family history of disease, with maternal inheritance. Cerebral magnetic resonance imaging revealed abnormally high signals in T2-weighted images: temporal lobe in three cases, occipital lobe in two cases, and parietal lobe in one case. Migrating stroke-like lesions were confirmed in one patient. Muscle biopsy revealed several strongly succinate dehydro-genase-reactive vessels scattered in muscle sections of three patients, but ragged-red fibers and cytochrome c oxidase-negative/dense (COX-/+) fibers were not observed. Mitochondrial DNA A3243G mutation was identified in all three cases. MELAS syndrome has obvious clinical heterogeneity, and muscle weakness was not prominent in some of the cases. | 12 | Stabilized oil production conditions in the development equilibrium of a water-flooding reservoir显示文摘Water injection can compensate for pressure depletion of production.This paper firstly investigated into the equilibrium issue among water influx,water injection and production.Equilibrium principle was elaborated through deduction of equilibrium equation and presentation of equilibrium curves with an“equilibrium point”.Influences of artificial controllable factors(e.g.well ratio of injection to production and total well number)on equilibrium were particularly analyzed using field data.It was found that the influences were mainly reflected as the location move of equilibrium point with factor change.Then reservoir pressure maintenance level was especially introduced to reveal the variation law of liquid rate and oil rate with the rising of water cut.It was also found that,even if reservoir pressure kept constant,oil rate still inevitably declined.However,in the field,a stabilized oil rate was always pursued for development efficiency.Therefore,the equilibrium issue of stabilized oil production was studied deeply through probing into some effective measures to realize oil rate stability after the increase of water cut for the example reservoir.Successful example application indicated that the integrated approach was very practical and feasible,and hence could be used to the other similar reservoir. | Renshi Nie Ting Ren Yonglu Jia | 2016 | Petroleum2016,2,4: | 0 |
| 13 | Pathological mechanisms of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis显示文摘Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis refers to a neurodegenerative disease involving the motor system,the cause of which remains unexplained despite several years of research.Thus,the journey to understanding or treating amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is still a long one.According to current research,amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is likely not due to a single factor but rather to a combination of mechanisms mediated by complex interactions between molecular and genetic pathways.The progression of the disease involves multiple cellular processes and the interaction between different complex mechanisms makes it difficult to identify the causative factors of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.Here,we review the most common amyotrophic lateral sclerosis-associated pathogenic genes and the pathways involved in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis,as well as summarize currently proposed potential mechanisms responsible for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis disease and their evidence for involvement in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.In addition,we discuss current emerging strategies for the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.Studying the emergence of these new therapies may help to further our understanding of the pathogenic mechanisms of the disease. | Yushu Hu Wenzhi Chen Caihui Wei Shishi Jiang Shu Li Xinxin Wang Renshi Xu | 2024 | Neural Regeneration Research2024,19,5: | 0 |
