| 1 | Stereotactic body radiation therapy for non-small cell lung cancer:A review显示文摘Stereotactic body radiation therapy(SBRT) is the treatment of choice for medically inoperable patients with early stage non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC). A literature search primarily based on PubMed electronic databases was completed in July 2018. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were determined prior to the search, and only prospective clinical trials were included. Nineteen trials from 2005 to 2018 met the inclusion criteria, reporting the outcomes of 1434 patients with central and peripheral early stage NSCLC. Patient eligibility, prescription dose and delivery, and follow up duration varied widely. Threeyears overall survival ranged from 43% to 95% with loco-regional control of up to 98% at 3 years. Up to 33% of patients failed distantly after SBRT at 3 years. SBRT was generally well tolerated with 10%-30% grade 3-4 toxicities and a few treatment-related deaths. No differences in outcomes were observed between conventionally fractionated radiation therapy and SBRT, central and peripheral lung tumors, or inoperable and operable patients. SBRT remains a reasonable treatment option for medically inoperable and select operable patients with early stage NSCLC. SBRT has shown excellent local and regional control with toxicity rates equivalent to surgery. Decreasing fractionation schedules have been consistently shown to be both safe and effective. Distant failure is common, and chemotherapy may be considered for select patients. However, the survival benefit of additional interventions, such as chemotherapy, for early stage NSCLC treated with SBRT remains unclear. | Kavitha M Prezzano Sung Jun Ma Gregory M Hermann Charlotte I Rivers Jorge A Gomez-Suescun Anurag K Singh | 2019 | World Journal of Clinical Oncology2019,10,1: | 10 |
| 2 | Runoff of the upper Yellow River above Tangnag: characteristics, evolution and changing trends显示文摘Runoff and its evolution, based on hydrometeorological data from surface measurement stations, are analyzed for the upper reaches of the Yellow River above Tangnag. Some mathematical statistical models, for example, Period Extrapolation-Gradual Regression Model, Grey Topology Forecast Model and Box-Jinkins Model, are applied in predicting changing trends on the runoff. The analysis indicates that the runoff volume in the upper Yellow River above Tangnag is ending a period of extended minimum flows. Increasing runoff is expected in the coming years. | LAN Yong-chao1, KANG Er-si1, MA Quan-jie2, ZHANG Ji-shi1, CHEN Ren-sheng1 (1. | 3 | Long-term outcomes of interventions for radiation-induced xerostomia:A review显示文摘Xerostomia, or dry mouth, is a significant problem affecting quality of life in patients treated with radiation therapy for head and neck cancer. Strategies for reduction of xerostomia burden vary widely, with options including: sialagogue medications, saliva substitutes, acupuncture, vitamins, hyperbaric oxygen, submandibular gland transfer, and acupuncture or associated treatments. In this review, we sought to evaluate long-term outcomes of patients treated with various interventions for radiation-induced xerostomia. A literature search was performed using the terms 'xerostomia' and 'radiation' or 'radiotherapy'; all prospective clinical trials were evaluated, and only studies that reported 1 year follow up were included. The search results yielded 2193 studies, 1977 of which were in English. Of those, 304 were clinical trials or clinical studies. After abstract review, 23 trials were included in the review evaluating the following treatment modalities: pilocarpine(three); cevimeline(one); amifostine(eleven);submandibular gland transfer(five); acupuncture like transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation(ALTENS)(one); hyperbaric oxygen(one); and acupuncture(one). Pilocarpine, cevimeline, and amifostine have been shown in some studies to improve xerostomia outcomes, at the cost of toxicity. ALTENS has similar efficacy with fewer side effects. Submandibular gland transfer is effective but requires an elective surgery, and thus may not always be appropriate or practical. The use of intensity-modulated radiation therapy, in addition to dose deescalation in select patients, may result in fewer patients with late xerostomia, reducing the need for additional interventions. | Sung Jun Ma Charlotte I Rivers Lucas M Serra Anurag K Singh | 2019 | World Journal of Clinical Oncology2019,10,1: | 4 |

| 5 | Computation of Diffraction of Irregular Waves Behind Double Jetty显示文摘The coefficient of deffraction of regular waves behind the double jetty has been computed in this paper at first by using the singularity distribution method. The model tests conducted for diffraction of irregular waves with a unidirectional frequency spectrum have confirmed good agreement between the data measured in experiments and the results computed by the singularity distribution method plus the linear superposition method for the energy of component waves in the directional frequency spectra. Therefore, this technique for component waves in the directional spectra has been further used to compute diffraction of irregular waves of multidirection, including the employment of a directional distribution function of the cos2 type, as well as the Bretschneider-Misuyann frequency spectrum. | Yao Guoquan , Ma Zhixiong and Ding Bingchan Senior Engineer, River and Harbour Department, Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute, Nanjing Assistant Engineer, River and Harbour Department, Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute, Nanjing | 1991 | China Ocean Engineering1991,6,4: | 1 |

| 10 | Experimental Study on Rectangular Floating Breakwaters显示文摘This paper proposes ten types of improved floating breakwaters for experiment with regular waves, based on the experience in the development and manufacture of existing floating breakwaters both at home and abroad, and on the results of experimental studies on the hydraulic characteristics of several types of floating breakwaters. The wave heights before and behind the breakwaters are measured, the movements of floating breakwaters are observed and the chain forces of the floating breakwaters are measured. The paper studies and compares the hydraulic characteristics of the improved rectangular floating breakwaters of which the internal and external structures and their installation methods are changed. Finally the optimal type of structure is selected through experiments. | Yao Guoquan Ma Zhixiong Ding Bingcan Prof. Senior Engineer, River and Harbour Department, Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute, Nanjing 210024 Senior Engineer, River and Harbour Department, Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute, Nanjing 210024 Engineer, River and Harbour Department, Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute, Nanjing 210024 | 1993 | China Ocean Engineering1993,8,3: | 1 |
