1Role of nickel on vanadium poisoned FCC catalyst: A study of physiochemical properties显示文摘Active sites of Fluid catalytic cracking(FCC) catalyst are poisoned during operation in the FCC reactor due to causes including feedstock contaminant metals deposition.This leads to activity,selectivity and increasing coking problems,thereby raising concern to the refiner.This work investigated effect of nickel coexisting with vanadium in the FCC feedstock on the standard FCC catalyst during cracking process,in which destruction of active sites occurs as a result of the metals deposition.Laboratory simulated equilibrium catalysts(E-cats) were studied by XRD,FTIR spectroscopy,N_2 adsorption,solid state MAS-NMR,SEM and H_2-TPR.Results revealed that vanadium,above a certain concentration in the catalyst,under hydrothermal conditions,is highly detrimental to the catalyst's structure and activity.Conversely,nickel hardly affects the catalyst structure,but its co-presence in the catalyst reduces destructive effects of vanadium.The mechanism of nickel inhibition of vanadium poisoning of the catalyst is discussed.U.J.Etim B.Xu P.Bai Rooh Ullah F.Subhan Z.Yan 2016Journal of Energy Chemistry2016,25,4:5
2毛线球状ZnO超结构在反应吸附脱硫中的优异性能(英文)显示文摘本文利用共聚物控制均匀沉淀法自组装合成了一种毛线球状ZnO超结构.通过将Ni浸渍于该氧化锌材料上制备了一系列Ni/ZnO吸附剂.其中,样品Ni/ZnO-4h在反应吸附脱硫中表现出极高的硫容量(189.1 mg Sg^(-1)),是相同条件下使用普通商业ZnO制备的Ni/ZnO-C样品的6倍.毛线球状ZnO疏松开放的结构能够促进反应物/产物的扩散,并抑制体积膨胀对吸附剂结构的破坏.较小的ZnO颗粒在提供较高的硫容量的同时还能促进活性组分Ni的分散,从而导致吸附剂具有较高的反应吸附脱硫性能.白鹏 刘博文 吴萍萍 Rooh Ullah 邢伟 阎子峰 2017Science China Materials2017,60,10:3
3Investigation of Optical and Luminescence Properties of Soda Lime Borate Glasses Doped with Sm^(3+) Ion显示文摘This paper was to investigate the optical and luminescence properties of Sm^(3+) doped SLB glasses by a melt quenching technique. The optical and luminescence properties of the prepared glass samples were investigated via absorption and photoluminescence spectra, respectively. The related physical and optical parameters were also calculated. From optical absorption measurements, the transition ~6H_(5/2) → ~6P_(3/2) at 403 nm has a higher spectral intensity and is a hypersensitive transition. From photoluminescence spectra, four prominent emission spectra appear. The most intense band is located at ~4G_(5/2) →~6H_(9/2)(599 nm), which is the characteristic emission range of Sm^(3+) ions with the reddish orange color. The experimental decay time of the ~4G_(5/2) level of Sm^(3+) SLB glasses was determined. The decay time decreases from 1.367 to 0.333 ms with increasing the content of Sm^(3+). The color coordinates(x, y) of the prepared glasses passes through the reddish-orange region in the CIE 1931 diagram and are suitable for orange LEDs, optoelectronics, and solidstate lighting. 7A Bio-Inspired Global Finite Time Tracking Control of Four-Rotor Test Bench System显示文摘A bio-inspired global finite time control using global fast-terminal sliding mode controller and radial basis function network is presented in this article,to address the attitude tracking control problem of the three degree-of-freedom four-rotor hover system.The proposed controller provides convergence of system states in a predetermined finite time and estimates the unmodeled dynamics of the four-rotor system.Dynamic model of the four-rotor system is derived with Newton’s force equations.The unknown dynamics of four-rotor systems are estimated using Radial basis function.The bio-inspired global fast terminal sliding mode controller is proposed to provide chattering free finite time error convergence and to provide optimal tracking of the attitude angles while being subjected to unknown dynamics.The global stability proof of the designed controller is provided on the basis of Lyapunov stability theorem.The proposed controller is validated by(i)conducting an experiment through implementing it on the laboratory-based hover system,and(ii)through simulations.Performance of the proposed control scheme is also compared with classical and intelligent controllers.The performance comparison exhibits that the designed controller has quick transient response and improved chattering free steady state performance.The proposed bioinspired global fast terminal sliding mode controller offers improved estimation and better tracking performance than the traditional controllers.In addition,the proposed controller is computationally cost effective and can be implanted on multirotor unmanned air vehicles with limited computational processing capabilities.Rooh ul Amin Irum Inayat Li Aijun Shahaboddin Shamshirband Timon Rabczuk 2018Computers, Materials & Continua2018,,12:1

13Detection of SARS-CoV-2 Eta VOI among international travelers using COVIDSeq-NGS显示文摘Rationale:SARS-CoV-2 has been identified as a highly infective and contagious viral infection.The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has been spread worldwide and affected more than 210 countries.Globally,the fast spread of novel SARS-CoV-2 variants has been mostly attributed to international travel.Patient concerns:We are reporting the genomic evidence of SARSCoV-2 Eta VOI among two international travelers.Both travelers were males from Nigeria aged 24 and 34 years and both were asymptomatic.Diagnosis:The nasopharyngeal swab samples were in both travelers positive by real-time RT-PCR followed by COVIDSeq-NGS.Interventions:Paracetamol 3 times daily for 5 days.Outcomes:Patient recovered completely within 10 days and discharged after 14 days of quarantine duration.Lessons:This report highlights genomic variation of SARSCoV-2 among the travelers.For managing the present health crisis,molecular identification of viral variants present in different geographical locations will be very helpful.Mati Ur Rehman Rooh Ullah Narmeen Arshad Muhammad Ammad Qurat Ul Ain Anam Razzak Muhammad Yousaf Shabana Perween Syed Sajjad Naqvi Tarique N.Hasan 2022Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2022,15,11:0
14Effect of eccentricity in reinforced concrete beam-column-slab connection under cyclic loading显示文摘Beam-column connections are one of the most critical elements of reinforced concrete structures,especially in seismically active regions,and have been extensively evaluated experimentally and numerically.However,very limited experimental studies about eccentric reinforced concrete connections including the effect of connected slabs are available.This study presents the experimental results of two half-scale eccentric beam-column-slab connections subjected to quasi-static cyclic loading.The horizontal eccentricity(eh)is maintained at 12.5%and 25%of column width(bc)for specimens 1 and 2,respectively.The damage pattern,performance levels,displacement ductility(μD),energy dissipation,and connection strength and stiffness are compared for both specimens,and the effect of eccentricity is evaluated.It is concluded that the eccentricity has no significant effect on the lateral load carrying capacity;however,the overall strength degradation increases with the increase in eccentricity.Similarly,the elastic stiffness of specimen 2 decreased by 14%as the eccentricity increased from 12.5%to 25%;however,the eccentricity had no significant effect on the overall stiffness degradation.μD decreased by 43%,and the energy dissipation capacity decreased by 40%in specimen 2 with higher eccentricity.The story drifts corresponding to the performance levels of the life safety(LS)and collapse prevention(CP)were found to be 28%lesser in specimen 2 than in specimen 1.Rooh ULLAH Amjad NASEER Muhammad FAHIM Mohammad ASHRAF Eid BADSHAH 2021Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering2021,15,2:0
