| 1 | Clinical features,histology,and histogenesis of combined hepatocellular-cholangiocarcinoma显示文摘Combined hepatocellular-cholangiocarcinoma(CHC) is a rare tumor with poor prognosis,with incidence ranging from 1.0%-4.7% of all primary hepatic tumors.This entity will be soon renamed as hepato-cholangiocarcinoma.The known risk factors for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) have been implicated for CHC including viral hepatitis and cirrhosis.It is difficult to diagnose this tumor pre-operatively.The predominant histologic component within the tumor largely determines the predominant radiographic features making it a difficult distinction.Heterogeneous and overlapping imaging features of HCC and cholangiocarcinoma should raise the suspicion for CHC and multiple core biopsies(from different areas of tumor) are recommended before administering treatment.Serum tumor markers CA19-9 and alpha-fetoprotein can aid in the diagnosis,but it remains a challenging diagnosis prior to resection.There is sufficient data to support bipotent hepatic progenitor cells as the cell of origin for CHC.The current World Health Organization classification categorizes two main types of CHC based on histo-morphological features:Classical type and CHC with stem cell features.Liver transplant is one of the available treatment modalities with other management options including transarterial chemoembolization,radiofrequency ablation,and percutaneous ethanol injection.We present a review paper on CHC highlighting the risk factors,origin,histological classification and therapeutic modalities. | Shweta Gera Mark Ettel Gabriel Acosta-Gonzalez Ruliang Xu | 2017 | World Journal of Hepatology2017,9,6: | 13 |
| 2 | Clinical and biological significance of precursor lesions of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma显示文摘Cholangiocarcinoma(CC) is primarily a malignant tumor of older adults most prevalent in Southeast Asia,where liver fluke infestation is high.However the etiology in western countries is unknown.Although the incidence of extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma has remained constant,incidence of intrahepatic CC(ICC) which differs inmorphology,pathogenesis,risk factors,treatment and prognosis is increasing.While this increase is associated with hepatitis C virus infection,chronic nonalcoholic liver disease,obesity,and smoking,the pathogenesis of ICC and molecular alterations underlying the carcinogenesis are not completely elucidated.Benign biliary lesions such as biliary intraepithelial neoplasia,intraductal papillary neoplasm of the bile duct,von Meyenburg complex or bile duct hamartoma,and bile duct adenoma have been associated with ICC.For each of these entities,evidence suggests or supports a role as premalignant lesions.This article summarized the important biological significance of the precursor lesions of ICC and the molecular mechanisms that may be involved in intrahepatic cholangiocarcinogenesis. | Mark Ettel Ogechukwu Eze Ruliang Xu | 2015 | World Journal of Hepatology2015,7,25: | 3 |
| 3 | Amorphous TiO_2-supported Keggin-type ionic liquid catalyst catalytic oxidation of dibenzothiophene in diesel显示文摘Supported ionic liquid(IL) catalysts [C_nmim]_3PMo_(12)O_(40)/Am TiO_2(amorphous TiO_2) were synthesized through a one-step method for extraction coupled catalytic oxidative desulfurization(ECODS) system. Characterizations such as FTIR, DRS,wide-angle XRD, N_2 adsorption–desorption and XPS were applied to analyze the morphology and Keggin structure of the catalysts. In ECODS with hydrogen peroxide as the oxidant, it was found that ILs with longer alkyl chains in the cationic moiety had a better effect on the removal of dibenzothiophene. The desulfurization could reach 100% under optimal conditions, and GC–MS analysis was employed to detect the oxidized product after the reaction. Factors affecting the desulfurization efficiencies were discussed, and a possible mechanism was proposed. In addition, cyclic experiments were also conducted to investigate the recyclability of the supported catalyst. | 4 | Human activities and elevational constraints restrict ranging patterns of snub-nosed monkeys in a mountainous refuge显示文摘Both natural conditions and anthropogenic factors affect the survivability,distribution,and population density of wildlife.To understand the extent and how these factors drive species distributions,a detailed description of animal movement patterns in natural habitats is needed.In this study,we used satellite telemetry to monitor elevational ranges favored by endangered golden snub-nosed monkeys(Rhinopithecus roxellana),in the Qinling Mountains,central China.We investigated the abundance and distribution of food resources through sampling vegetation quadrats at different elevations and sampled anthropogenic activities using field surveys.Our results indicated that although there was no significant variation in food resources between low-(<1500 m)and middle-elevations(1500–2200 m),monkeys were found most often in areas above 1500 m,where there was less anthropogenic development(e.g.houses and roads);however,monkeys rarely ranged above 2200 m and had limited food availability at this altitude.There was limited human disturbance at this elevation.We suggest that both human activity and ecological constraints(i.e.food resources)have considerable effects on elevational use of R.roxellana in the Qinling Mountains.This study highlights the critical roles these factors can play in shaping the vertical distribution of high-altitude primates.This research provides useful insights for habitat-based conservation plans in which human disturbance management and habitat restoration should be prioritized. | Pengzhen HUANG Kun BIAN Zhipang HUANG Qi Li Derek WDUNN Gu FANG Jiahui LIU Mengyao WANG Xianfeng YANG Ruliang PAN Cunlao GAO Kaichuang SI Baoguo LI Xiaoguang QI | 2021 | Integrative Zoology2021,16,2: | 3 |

| 18 | 佛坪自然保护区川金丝猴种群动态(英文)显示文摘陕西佛坪国家级保护区是我国重要的自然保护区之一,包括大熊猫、金丝猴在内的很多珍稀濒危物种分布其中。20世纪90年代后期,全国林业开始实施'天然林保护工程',这对佛坪保护区当地的农业、工业、经济发展和生活质量产生了很大的影响。为了探究'天然林保护工程'对野生川金丝猴的保护产生何种影响,我们于2015年至2016年采用访问调查和实地踏查方法对佛坪保护区20世纪90年代至今的川金丝猴种群动态变化进行研究,结果发现不论是种群数量(从少于500只增至671只左右)还是栖息地面积(从147.8 km^2增至236.5 km^2)都明显增长;家域范围随着年代的推移向低海拔位置扩大(秋季平均海拔为1 680 m±304 m),越来越靠近人类;川金丝猴在家域范围内,对常绿阔叶林和落叶阔叶林有明显的选择偏好,活动比例分别达到了40.11%和38.41%。实施'天然林保护工程'后,当地农业开发和经济活动在逐渐转型,减少了人类活动对野生动物栖息地的干扰,提升了栖息地保护的质量和生态环境。因此,此项工程的实施在该地区川金丝猴保护方面表现出积极的效果,促进了当地金丝猴栖息地的改善,种群数量得以增加扩大,是一个野生动物保护的成功案例。 | 何刚 郭松涛 金学林 贺树军 李芳芳 李财 吴帆 侯荣 黄康 何祥博 刘新玉 Ruliang Pan 李保国 | 2018 | 兽类学报2018,38,3: | 1 |
