Genetic, hormonal, and environmental control of tillering in wheat显示文摘Tillering contributes greatly to grain yield in wheat.Investigating the mechanisms of tillering provides a theoretical foundation and genetic resources for the molecular breeding of wheat. The regulation of tillering is a complex molecular process that involves a multitude of factors.Little is known about the molecular mechanisms in the wheat genome, although progress has been made in rice. Here we review the developmental characteristics of tillers and summarize current knowledge of the roles of endogenous and environmental factors in wheat tillering. We propose directions for future studies and advanced technologies to be used for gene identification and functional studies. | Qiushuang Shang Yaping Wang Heng Tang Na Sui Xiansheng Zhang Fang Wang | 2021 | The Crop Journal2021,9,5: | 3
Therapies for children with cerebral palsy A Web of Science-based literature analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To identify global research trends in three therapies for children with cerebral palsy. DATA RETRIEVAL: We performed a bibliometric analysis of studies on therapies for children with cerebral palsy from 2002 to 2011 retrieved from Web of Science. SELECTION CRITERIA: Inclusion criteria: (a) peer-reviewed published articles on botulinum toxin, constraint-induced movement therapy, or acupuncture for children with cerebral palsy indexed in Web of Science; (b) original research articles, reviews, meeting abstracts, proceedings papers, book chapters, editorial material, and news items; and (c) publication between 2002 and 2011. Exclusion criteria: (a) articles that required manual searching or telephone access; (b) documents that were not published in the public domain; and (c) a number of corrected papers from the total number of articles. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: (1) Number of publications on the three therapies; (2) annual publication output, distribution by journals, distribution by institution, and top-cited articles on botulinum toxin; (3) annual publication output, distribution by journal, distribution by institution, and top-cited articles on constraint-induced movement therapy; (4) annual publication, distribution by journal, distribution by institution, and top-cited articles on acupuncture. RESULTS: This analysis, based on Web of Science articles, identified several research trends in studies published over the past 10 years of three therapies for children with cerebral palsy. More articles on botulinum toxin for treating children with cerebral palsy were published than the articles regarding constraint-induced movement therapy or acupuncture. The numbers of publications increased over the 10-year study period. Most papers appeared in journals with a focus on neurology, such as Developmental Medicine and Child Neurology and Journal of Child Neurology.Research institutes publishing on botulinum toxin treatments for this population are mostly in the Netherlands, the United States of America, and Australia; those publishing on constraint-induced movement therapy are mostly in Australia and the United States of America; and those publishing on acupuncture are mostly in China, Sweden and the United States of America.CONCLUSION: Analysis of literature and research trends indicated that there was no one specific therapy to cure cerebral palsy. Further studies are still necessary. | Yaping Mu Na Li Lijun Guan Chunnan Wang Shuyun Shang Yan Wang | 2012 | Neural Regeneration Research2012,7,33: | 2
Effects of Nd^(3+) and Sm^(3+) on the proliferation, differentiation and mineralization function of primary osteoblasts in vitro显示文摘A series of experimental methods including 3-(4,5-dimethyl-2-thiazolyl)-2,5-diphenyl-2H tetrazolium bromide (MTT) test, alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity measurement,Oil Red O stain and measurement, mineralized function expression and quantitive real time RT-PCR (qRT-PCR) were employed to assess the effect of Nd3+ and Sm3+ on the proliferation, differentiation and mineralization function of primary osteoblasts (OBs) in vitro at cell and molecular levels. The experimental results suggest that concentration, culture time and ion species are pivotal factors for switching the biological effects of rare earth ions from toxicity to activity, from damage to protection,or from down-regulation to up-regulation. | ZHANG JinChao SHANG MiQin ZHANG DaWei LI YaPing SUN Jing CHEN Hang | 2010 | Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,23: | 1

Flawers of the Sun显示文摘I was not a flower lover when I was a little girl. Instead, I spent my days mixing with the 'mischievous' boys in the neighborhood; my favorite toys were wooden sticks which I imagined to be guns. I guess part of the reason for my unusual behavior goes to the influence of my father serving in the army and China was undergoing the Cultural Revolution. Then all things beyond bare necessity were categorized as bourgeois extravagance. | 6 | Structural plasticity-based hydrogel optical Willshaw model for one-shot on-the-fly edge learning显示文摘Autonomous one-shot on-the-fly learning copes with the high privacy, small dataset, and in-stream data at the edge.Implementing such learning on digital hardware suffers from the well-known von-Neumann and scaling bottlenecks. The optical neural networks featuring large parallelism, low latency, and high efficiency offer a promising solution.However,ex-situ training of conventional optical networks, where optical path configuration and deep learning model optimization are separated, incurs hardware, energy and time overheads, and defeats the advantages in edge learning. Here,we introduced a bio-inspired material-algorithm co-design to construct a hydrogel-based optical Willshaw model(HOWM),manifesting Hebbian-rule-based structural plasticity for simultaneous optical path configuration and deep learning model optimization thanks to the underlying opto-chemical reactions. We first employed the HOWM as an all optical in-sensor AI processor for one-shot pattern classification, association and denoising. We then leveraged HOWM to function as a ternary content addressable memory(TCAM)of an optical memory augmented neural network(MANN)for one-shot learning the Omniglot dataset. The HOWM empowered one-shot on-the-fly edge learning leads to 1000boost of energy efficiency and 10boost of speed, which paves the way for the next-generation autonomous, efficient, and affordable smart edge systems. | Dingchen Wang Dingyao Liu Yinan Lin Anran Yuan Woyu Zhang Yaping Zhao Shaocong Wang Xi Chen Hegan Chen Yi Zhang Yang Jiang Shuhui Shi Kam Chi Loong Jia Chen Songrui Wei Qing Wang Hongyu Yu Renjing Xu Dashan Shang Han Zhang Shiming Zhang Zhongrui Wang | 2023 | InfoMat2023,5,4: | 0
Successful Marriage Requires Tolerance显示文摘1 THE question of whether or not the concept of marriage goes against human nature will never be resolved because there is nothing more contradictory in the world than so-called human nature. Everyone should ask a more specific question: What do I want most out of my life? If a person wants peaceful life, he or she should get married. If a person wants freedom, he or she should remain single. Can a person have both a peaceful life and freedom? There is such a thing called an open marriage. But marriage is on the threshold of freedom. In reality, perhaps it is easy or difficult to cross that threshold. But the threshold must be there. Without it, the marriage would be totally open, and the union could not be regarded as a marriage. It is essential that in marriage the idea that the | SHANG YAPING ZHOU GUOPING CHEN SHANSHAN | 1995 | Women of China1995,,6: | 0
