14Scratch behavior of high speed steels for hot rolls显示文摘The scratch behaviors of two high speed steels (HSS) for hot rolls were studied by a Micro-combi Tester, and the emphasis was placed on researching the relations between the microstructure and the scratch resistance property of different HSS. The experimental results indicate that during the scratch process, the carbides are embedded into the matrix, the penetration depth of different HSS is closely related with the matrix hardness, i.e., the higher the matrix hardness, the better the scratch resistance property; and in the matrix, the fine, dispersive carbides are beneficial to form steady friction between the indenter and the scratched materials, but the coarser carbides are easier to fall into pieces.Li Zhou Dale Sun Changsheng Liu Chunguang Li Lisong Yao 2008Journal of University of Science and Technology Beijing2008,15,4:1

16Construction of a high-density mutant population of Chinese cabbage facilitates the genetic dissection of agronomic traits显示文摘Chinese cabbage(Brassica rapa ssp.pekinensis)is an economically important vegetable crop throughout the world,especially in Asia.High-quality genome sequences are available for Chinese cabbage,but gene functional studies remain challenging.To promote functional genomic studies of Chinese cabbage,we generated an ethyl methane sulfonate(EMS)mutant population of~8000 M_(2) plants using the double haploid inbred line A03 as the parent.The genome of A03 was sequenced and used as a reference for high-throughput functional characterization of gene mutations at the whole-genome level.A total of 300 M_(2) to M_(5) EMS mutants were phenotypically screened and then sequenced,revealing 750629 SNPs and 46272 InDel mutations that cover 98.27%of all predicted genes in the A03 genome.A forward-genetics approach was successfully used to identify two genes with chloroplast-related functions that are responsible for the yellow leaf mutant trait.A reverse-genetics approach was also used to identify associations between mutations in five genes of the glucosinolate biosynthetic pathway and variations in glucosinolate content of the mutant plants.In addition,we built the Chinese cabbage EMS mutation database(CCEMD,www.bioinformaticslab.cn/EMSmutation/home)to increase the usability of this mutant population resource.In summary,we performed large-scale screening of a heading Chinese cabbage EMS mutant collection at the phenotypic and genotypic levels,which will facilitate gene mining of Chinese cabbage and might also be useful for the study of other Brassica crops.Xiaoxue Sun Xing Li Yin Lu Shan Wang Xiaomeng Zhang Kang Zhang Xiangjie Su Mengyang Liu Daling Feng Shuangxia Luo Aixia Gu Yu Fu Xueping Chen Shuxin Xuan Yanhua Wang Donghui Xu Shumin Chen Wei Ma Shuxing Shen Feng Cheng Jianjun Zhao 2022Molecular Plant2022,15,5:1

18An acyltransferase gene that putatively functions in anthocyanin modification was horizontally transferred from Fabaceae into the genus Cuscuta显示文摘Horizontal gene transfer(HGT) refers to the flow of genetic materials to non-offspring,and occasionally HGT in plants can improve the adaptation of organisms in new niches due to expanded metabolic capability.Anthocyanins are an important group of water-soluble red,purple,or blue secondary metabolites,whose diversity results from modification after the main skeleton biosynthesis.Cuscuta is a stem holoparasitic genus,whose members form direct connection with hosts to withdraw water,nutrients,and macromolecules.Such intimate association is thought to increase the frequency of HGT.By transcriptome screening for foreign genes in Cuscuta australis,we discovered that one gene encoding a putative anthocyanin acyltransferase gene of the BAHD family,which is likely to be involved in anthocyanin modification,was acquired by C.australis from Fabaceae through HGT.The anthocyanin acyltransferase-like(AT-like) gene was confirmed to be present in the genome assembly of C.australis and the transcriptomes of Cuscuta pentagona.The higher transcriptional level in old stems is consistent with its putative function in secondary metabolism by stabilizing anthocyanin at neutral pH and thus HGT of this AT-like gene may have improved biotic and abiotic resistance of Cuscuta.Ting Sun Yuxing Xu Dale Zhang Huifu Zhuang Jianqiang Wu Gulling Sun 2016Plant Diversity2016,38,3:0
19The evolution of carbides in the tempering process of semi-high speed steel cold rolls with nitrogen addition显示文摘This study analyzes the evolution of carbides in the tempering process of a newly developed semi-high speed steel cold forged roll with nitrogen addition using a transmission electron microscope (TEM) equipped with an energy dispersive X-ray (EDX).The precipitation sequence of the carbides was identified in the entire tempering process and it can be expressed as M3C→M3C+M(C,N)Ⅱ→M(C,N)Ⅱ+ M7C3Ⅱ+M23C6.The secondary hardening in the tempering process was mainly due to the dispersed precipitation of fine M(C,N)Ⅱ particles.The dissolution of M3C tempered at high temperatures induced the precipitation and coarsening of M7C3Ⅱ and M23C6.WU Qiong SUN Dale YAO Lisong LIU Changsheng 2009Baosteel Technical Research2009,3,2:0
