3Protective effect of ginger volatile oil against acetic acid-induced colitis in rats: a light microscopic evaluation显示文摘OBJECTIVE: Ulcerative colitis is a chronically recurrent infl ammatory bowel disease of unknown origin. In the present study, the effect of ginger(rhizome of Zing iber officinale Roscoe) volatile oil on a rat model of colitis was evaluated. METHODS: Volatile oil of ginger with doses of 100, 200, and 400 mg/kg, prednisolone(4 mg/kg), or vehicle were administered orally to groups of male Wistar rats(n = 6) for 5 d. Animals were randomly divided into 6 groups, each group consisting of 6 rats. Colitis was induced by intracolonic instillation of 2 mL of 4%(v/v) acetic acid solution. All rats were sacrificed 24 h later and the tissue injuries were assessed macroscopically and histopathologically. RESULTS: Ginger volatile oil with all doses reduced colon weight/length ratio(P < 0.01) and the effects were similar to the reference drugs. Higher oral doses of volatile oil(200 and 400 mg/kg) reduced ulcer severity(P < 0.05 and P < 0.01), ulcer area(P < 0.01) and ulcer index(P < 0.01). 4Effect of Primary and Eutectic Mg_2Si Crystal Modifications on the Mechanical Properties and Sliding Wear Behaviour of an Al–20Mg_2Si–2Cu–xBi Composite显示文摘This work investigated the microstructure evolution, tensile, impact, hardness, and sliding wear properties of an Al–20Mg_2Si–2Cu in situ composite treated with different Bi contents. The desired modification of primary Mg_2 Si particles was achieved with the addition of 0.4 wt% Bi. Increasing Bi beyond 0.4 wt%resulted in a loss of modification, possibly due to the formation of Al_8 MgB iS i4 compound before the precipitation of the primary Mg_2 Si. Additionally, the structure of the pseudo-eutectic Mg_2 Si was transformed from plate to fibrous, which was consistent with decrease of growth temperature extracted from the cooling curve thermal analysis. Addition of Bi had an effect on the morphology of Al_5 Fe Si(β), Al_2Cu(θ) and Al_5Cu_2Mg_8Si_6(Q) intermetallic compounds. The tensile strength, elongation percentage, impact toughness, and hardness increased by 6%, 13%, 75%, and 23%, respectively, due to modification of both the primary and eutectic Mg_2 Si crystals. The tensile and impact fracture surfaces showed fewer decohered particles in the Bi-treated composite. 5Pancreatic necrosis:Complications and changing trend of treatment显示文摘Incidence of acute pancreatitis seems to be increasing in the Western countries and has been associated with significantly increased morbidity. Nearly 80% of the patients with acute pancreatitis undergo resolution; some develop complications including pancreatic necrosis. Infection of pancreatic necrosis is the leading cause of death in these patients. A significant portion of these patients needs surgical interventions. Traditionally, the 'gold standard' procedure has been the open surgical necrosectomy, which is now being completed by the relatively lesser invasive interventions. Minimally invasive surgical(MIS) procedures include endoscopic drainage, percutaneous image-guided catheter drainage, and retroperitoneal drainage. 7高效液相色谱-紫外检测法同时测定药物制剂及人体血清中的奥美沙坦酯和厄贝沙坦及氢氯噻嗪(英文)显示文摘A simple,selective,sensitive,precise,simultaneous high performance liquid chromatographic analysis of serum samples and commercial tablet formulation containing hydrochlorothiazide,olmesartan medoxomil and irbesartan are reported.Good chromatographic separation was achieved using a μ-Bondapak,C18 column(15 cm×4.6 mm,5 μm),and a mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile-0.2% acetic acid aqueous solution(50∶50,v/v)at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min.The ultraviolet detector was set at a wavelength of 260 nm.Hydrochlorothiazide,olmesartan medoxomil,and irbesartan were eluted at 1.2,3.8,and 4.4 min,respectively.No extraneous materials were found to interfere.The method uses protein precipitation with acetonitrile for the preparation of serum sample.The linear ranges for hydrochlorothiazide,olmesartan medoxomil,and irbesartan were 6.25-18.75,20-60,and 75-225 ng/mL,respectively.The recoveries of hydrochlorothiazide,olmesartan medoxomil,and irbesartan in spiked samples were all greater than 98%,and their relative standard deviations were less than 2.0%.The limits of detection were 1,2,and 2 ng/mL for hydrochlorothiazide,olmesartan medoxomil,and irbesartan,respectively,and the limits of quantification were 3 ng/mL,which allow their determination at the expected serum concentration levels.SULTANA Najma ARAYNE M Saeed ALI S Shahid SAJID Shahnawaz 2008色谱2008,26,5:6
8Investigation of rock salt layer creep and its effects on casing collapse显示文摘Casing collapse is one of the costly incidents in the oil industry. In the oil fields of southwest Iran, most casing collapses have occurred in Gachsaran formation, and the halite rock salt layer in this formation may be the main cause for these incidents because of its peculiar creep behavior. In this research, triaxial creep experiments have been conducted on Gachsaran salt samples under various temperatures and differential stresses. The main purpose was to determine the creep characteristics of Gachsaran rock salt,and to examine the role of creep in several casing collapses that occurred in this formation. Results indicated that the halite rock salt of Gachsaran formation basically obeys the power law;however, its creep parameters are quite different from other halite rocks elsewhere. The time-dependent creep of Gachsaran rock salt exhibits strong sensitivity to temperature change;however, its sensitivity to variation of differential stress is rather low. 10频率和脉冲时间对大功率脉冲磁控溅射氮化钛沉积速率和形貌的影响(英文)显示文摘采用大功率脉冲磁控溅射(HiPIMS),在不同频率(162~637Hz)和脉冲时间(60~322μs)条件下,将氮化钛薄膜沉积在硅基体上。采用响应面法研究频率和脉冲时间对电流波形、晶体取向、显微组织的协同影响,特别是对恒定时间、平均功率为250W条件下氮化钛沉积速率的影响。分别用XRD和FESEM对沉积薄膜的晶体结构和形貌进行分析。结果表明,样品的沉积速率与脉冲时间和脉冲频率有很大的关系,沉积速率在4.5~14.5 nm/min之间变化。回归方程和方差分析显示,当频率为537 Hz、脉冲时间为212μs时,沉积速率最大为(17±0.8)nm/min,实验测量所得此条件下的沉积速率为16.7 nm/min,与预测值吻合较好。Saeed GHASEMI Ali Reza FARHADIZADEH Hamid GHOMI 2019Transactions of Nonferrous Metals Society of China2019,29,12:5
11Forecasting soil temperature at multiple-depth with a hybrid artificial neural network model coupledhybrid firefly optimizer algorithm显示文摘Forecasting soil temperature at multiple depths is considered to be a core decision-making task for examining future changes in surface and sub-surface meteorological processes,land-atmosphere energy exchange,resilient agricultural systems for improved crop health and eco-environmental risk assessment.The aim of this paper is to estimate monthly soil temperature(ST)at multiple depth:5,10,20,50 and 100 cm with a hybrid multi-layer perceptron algorithm integrated with the firefly optimizer algorithm(MLP-FFA).To develop the hybrid MLP-FFA model,the monthly ST and relevant meteorological variables for the city of Adana(Turkey)are collated for the period of 2000–2007.Construction of hybrid MLP-FFA model is drawn upon a limited set of predictors,denoted as soil depth,periodicity(or the respective month),air temperature,pressure and solar radiation,while the objective variable for MLP-FFA model is the forecasted ST at multiple depths.To the evaluate MLPFFA,statistical metrics applied to test the model’s performance are:the root mean square error(RMSE),mean absolute error(MAE),mean absolute percentage error(MAPE)and mean bias error(MBE)where the sign of the difference is also considered.In conjunction with statistical metrics,a Taylor diagram is utilized to visualize the degree of similarity between the observed and forecasted soil moisture.In terms of the forecasted results,the hybrid MLPFFA model is seen to outperform the standalone MLP model.The optimal MLP-FFA is attained for soil temperature forecasting at a depth of 20 cm(RMSE,MAPE of 0.546C,2.40%)whereas the optimal MLP is attained for soil temperature forecasting at a depth of 50 cm(RMSE of 0.544℃,2.21%).Conclusively,the study advocates through statistical metrics attained the better utility of the hybrid MLP-FFA hybrid model.Given its superior performance,it is ascertained that the hybrid MLP model integrated with Firefly optimizer is a qualified ancillary tool that can be applied to generate precise soil temperature forecasts at multiple soil depths.Saeed Samadianfard Mohammad Ali Ghorbani Babak Mohammadi 2018Information Processing in Agriculture2018,5,4:5

13Effects of Magnetic Field on Entropy Generation in Flow and Heat Transfer due to a Radially Stretching Surface显示文摘We investigate the effects of magnetic field on the entropy generation during fluid flow and heat transfer due to the radially stretching surface.The partial differential equations governing the flow and heat transfer phenomenon are transformed into nonlinear ordinary differential equations by using suitable similarity transformations.These equations are then solved by the homotopy analysis method and the shooting technique.The effects of the magnetic field parameter M and the Prandtl number Pr on velocity and the temperature profiles are presented.Moreover,influence of the magnetic field parameter M and the group parameter Br/Ω on the local entropy generation number Ns as well as the Bejan number Be are inspected.It is observed that the magnetic field is a strong source of entropy production in the considered problem.Adnan Saeed Butt Asif Ali 2013Chinese Physics Letters2013,30,2:3
14Drainage vs. non-drainage after cholecystectomy for acute cholecystitis:a retrospective study显示文摘Many surgeons practice prophylactic drainage after cholecystectomy without reliable evidence,this study was conducted to answer the question whether to drain or not to drain after cholecystectomy for acute calculous cholecystitis.A retrospective review of all patients who had cholecystectomy for acute cholecystitis in Aseer Central Hospital,Abha,Saudi Arabia,was conducted from April 2010 to April 2012.Data were extracted from hospital case files.Preoperative data included clinical presentation,routine investigations and liver function tests.Operative data included excessive adhesions,bleeding,bile leak,and drain insertion.Complicated cases such as pericholecystic collections,mucocele and empyema were also reported.Patients who needed therapeutic drainage were excluded.Postoperative data included hospital stay,volume of drained fluid,time of drain removal,and drain site problems.The study included 103 patients allocated into two groups;group A(n = 38) for patients with operative drain insertion and group B(n = 65) for patients without drain insertion.The number of patients with preoperative diagnosis of acute non-complicated cholecystitis was significantly greater in group B(80%) than group A(36.8%)(P < 0.001).Operative time was significantly longer in group A.All patients who were converted from laparoscopic to open cholecystectomy were in group A.Multivariate analysis revealed that hospital stay was significantly(P < 0.001) longer in patients with preoperative complications.There was no added benefit for prophylactic drain insertion after cholecystectomy for acute calculous cholecystitis in non-complicated or in complicated cases.Mohammed A Bawahab Walid M Abd El Maksoud Saeed A Alsareii Fahad S Al Amri Hala F Ali Abdul Rahman Nimeri Abdul Rahman M Al Amri Adel A Assiri Mohammed I Abdul Aziz 2014The Journal of Biomedical Research2014,28,3:3
15Colon mucosal neoplasia referred for endoscopic mucosal resection:Recurrence of adenomas and prediction of submucosal invasion显示文摘BACKGROUND Endoscopic mucosal resection(EMR)is an effective and minimally invasive alternative to surgery for large polyps and laterally spreading lesions.Gross morphology and surface characteristics may help predict submucosal invasion of the lesion(SMIL)during endoscopic evaluation.This is one of the largest singlecenter studies reporting endoscopic mucosal resection for larger(≥20 mm)colorectal lesions in the United States.AIM To determine the recurrence rate of adenomas and endoscopic features that may predict submucosal invasion of colonic mucosal neoplasia.METHODS This is a retrospective cohort study of all the patients referred for endoscopic mucosal resection for lesions≥20 mm,spanning a period from January 2013 to February 2017.The main outcome measure was identifying features that may predict submucosal invasion of mucosal lesions and predict recurrence of adenomas on follow-up surveillance colonoscopy performed at 4-6 mo.RESULTS A total of 480 patients with 500 lesions were included in the study.The median age was 68(Inter quantile range:14)with 52%males.The most common lesion location was ascending colon(161;32%).Paris classification 0-IIa(Flat elevation of mucosa-316;63.2%);Kudo Pit Pattern IIIs(192;38%)and Granular surface morphology(260;52%)were most prevalent.Submucosal invasion was present in 23(4.6%)out of 500 lesions.The independent risk factors for SMIL were Kudo Pit Pattern IIIL+IV and V(Odds ratio:4.5;P value<0.004)and Paris classification 0-IIc(Odds ratio:18.2;P value<0.01).Out of 500,354 post-endoscopic mucosal resection scars were examined at surveillance colonoscopy.Recurrence was noted in 21.8%(77 cases).CONCLUSION There was overall low prevalence of SMIL in our study.Kudo pit pattern(IIIL+IV and V)and Paris classification 0-IIc were the only factors identified as an independent risk factor for submucosal invasion.The independent risk factor for recurrence was adenoma size(>40 mm).Almost all recurrences(98.8%)were treated endoscopically.Mamoon Ur Rashid Neelam Khetpal Hammad Zafar Saeed Ali Evgeny Idrisov Yuan Du Assaf Stein Deepanshu Jain Muhammad Khalid Hasan 2020World Journal of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy2020,12,7:3
16One-pot, solvent-free and efficient synthesis of 2,4,6-triarylpyridines catalyzed by nano-titania-supported sulfonic acid as a novel heterogeneous nanocatalyst显示文摘Nano titania-supported sulfonic acid(n-TSA) has found to be a highly efficient, eco-friendly and recyclable heterogeneous nanocatalyst for the solvent-free synthesis of 2,4,6-triarylpyridines through one-pot three-component reaction of acetophenones, aryl aldehydes and ammonium acetate. This reported method illustrates several advantages such as environmental friendliness reaction conditions,simplicity, short reaction time, easy work up, reusability of catalyst and high yields of the products. One new compound is reported too. 19Improved Performance for a Heterogeneous Satellite-Cooperative Network with Best Relay Node Selection显示文摘Nowadays, hybrid satellite-terrestrial cooperative network has emerged as a key technology to provide a great variety of communication services. The deployment of this network will improve coverage and capacity in remote areas. Despite the benefits of this network, by increasing the number of users, communication efficiency based on interference management is a major challenge in satellite-based system. Also, the direct links between satellite system and the terrestrial equipment do not always have desirable channel condition. In order to avoid serious throughput degradation, choosing a cooperative relay node is very important. In this paper, Stackelberg game is exploited for interference management that is raised by satellites in down link over terrestrial equipment. Then, for interference management between ground station and relay node with other mobile users, CVX is used to allocate optimum power. Also, the best relay node in this structure is selected based on the harmonic mean function. Thus, the performance of the heterogeneous satellite-cooperative network is investigated based on three benchmarks, namely, successful transmission, energy consumption and outage probability.
