1Convolutional neural networks for time series classification显示文摘Time series classification is an important task in time series data mining, and has attracted great interests and tremendous efforts during last decades. However, it remains a challenging problem due to the nature of time series data: high dimensionality,large in data size and updating continuously. The deep learning techniques are explored to improve the performance of traditional feature-based approaches. Specifically, a novel convolutional neural network(CNN) framework is proposed for time series classification. Different from other feature-based classification approaches,CNN can discover and extract the suitable internal structure to generate deep features of the input time series automatically by using convolution and pooling operations. Two groups of experiments are conducted on simulated data sets and eight groups of experiments are conducted on real-world data sets from different application domains. 7Numerical simulation of pressure fluctuation in Kaplan turbine显示文摘As it is almost impossible to carry out the prototype hydro-turbine experiment be- fore the power plant is built up, rational prediction of pressure fluctuations in the prototype turbine is very important at the design stage. From this viewpoint, we at first treated the unsteady turbulent flow computation based on the modified RNG k-ε turbulence model through the whole flow passage to simulate the pressure fluctuation in a model turbine. Since fair agreement was recognized between the numerical results and the experimental data, this numerical method was applied to simulate the pressure fluctuations in the prototype turbine. From the comparison of them with the model turbine results, it is seen that their qualitative trend of pres- sure fluctuations are similar, but an appreciable difference is observed between the amplitudes of pressure fluctuation of the prototype turbine and that of the model turbine. Though the present findings may be explained by the effect of Reynolds number, further studies are expected for quantitative interpretation. We paid atten- tion to the interaction between the fluid and turbine structure. 9Numerical Experiments on the Impact of Spring North Pacific SSTA on NPO and Unusually Cool Summers in Northeast China显示文摘A set of numerical experiments designed to analyze the oceanic forcing in spring show that the combined forcing of cold(warm) El Nino(La Nina) phases in the Nino4 region and sea surface temperature anomalies(SSTA) in the westerly drifts region would result in abnormally enhanced NorthEast Cold Vortex(NECV) activities in early summer. In spring, the central equatorial Pacific El Nino phase and westerly drift SSTA forcing would lead to the retreat of non-adiabatic waves,inducing elliptic low-frequency anomalies of tropical air flows. This would enhance the anomalous cyclone–anticyclone–cyclone–anticyclone low-frequency wave train that propagates from the tropics to the extratropics and further to the mid-high latitudes, constituting a major physical mechanism that contributes to the early summer circulation anomalies in the subtropics and in the North Pacific mid-high latitudes. 10BYSL contributes to tumor growth by cooperating with the mTORC2 complex in gliomas显示文摘Objective:BYSL,which encodes the Bystin protein in humans,is upregulated in reactive astrocytes following brain damage and/or inflammation.We aimed to determine the role and mechanism of BYSL in glioma cell growth and survival.Methods:BYSL expression in glioma tissues was measured by quantitative real-time PCR,Western blot,and immunohistochemistry.In vitro assays were performed to assess the role of BYSL in cell proliferation and apoptosis.Protein interactions and co-localization were determined by co-immunoprecipitation and double immunofluorescence.The expression and activity of the AKT/m TOR signaling molecules were determined by Western blot analysis,and the role of BYSL in glioma growth was confirmed in an orthotopic xenograft model.Results:The BYSL m RNA and protein levels were elevated in glioma tissues.Silencing BYSL inhibited glioma cell proliferation,impeded cell cycle progression,and induced apoptosis,whereas overexpressing BYSL protein led to the opposite effects.We identified a complex consisting of BYSL,RIOK2,and m TOR,and observed co-localization and positive correlations between BYSL and RIOK2 in glioma cells and tissues.Overexpressing BYSL or RIOK2 increased the expression and activity of AKT/m TOR signaling molecules,whereas downregulation of BYSL or RIOK2 decreased the activity of AKT/m TOR signaling molecules.Silencing BYSL or RIOK2 decreased the growth of the tumors and prolonged the lifespan of the animals in an orthotopic xenograft model.Conclusions:High expression of BYSL in gliomas promoted tumor cell growth and survival both in vitro and in vivo.These effects could be attributed to the association of BYSL with RIOK2 and m TOR,and the subsequent activation of AKT signaling.Shangfeng Gao Zhuang Sha Junbo Zhou Yihao Wu Yunnong Song Cheng Li Xuejiao Liu Tong Zhang Rutong Yu 2021Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,1:3
11CsPb(I_(x)Br_(1-x))_(3) solar cells显示文摘Owing to its nice performance, low cost, and simple solution-processing, organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cell(PSC) becomes a promising candidate for next-generation high-efficiency solar cells.The power conversion efficiency(PCE) has boosted from 3.8% to 25.2% over the past ten years. Despite the rapid progress in PCE, the device stability is a key issue that impedes the commercialization of PSCs. Recently, all-inorganic cesium lead halide perovskites have attracted much attention due to their better stability compared with their organic-inorganic counterpart. In this progress report, we summarize the properties of CsPb(IxBr1-x)3 and their applications in solar cells. The current challenges and corresponding solutions are discussed. 12Chemical functionalization of 2D black phosphorus显示文摘As an emerging two-dimensional material,black phosphorus(BP)has fascinating structure and electronic properties,affording broad applications in fieldeffect transistors,optoelectronic devices,energy devices,and biomedicines.However,the lone pair electrons of phosphorus atoms readily react with oxygen,so few-layer BP is easily oxidized and degraded when exposed to air.Therefore,the ambient stability of BP needs to be enhanced for its potential application.Chemical functionalization is one of the most effective methods for improving the ambient stability of few-layer BP.In this review,we provide a comprehensive overview of the chemical functionalization of BP,focusing on covalent and noncovalent functionalization and surface coordination.The influence of the functionalization pattern on the electronic properties and ambient stability of BP is summarized.Finally,the challenges and future development of chemical functionalization of BP are discussed.Yajuan Liu Muqing Chen Shangfeng Yang 2021InfoMat2021,3,3:2
13The Weakening Relationship between ENSO and the South China Sea Summer Monsoon Onset in Recent Decades显示文摘The El Ni?o-Southern Oscillation(ENSO) is traditionally regarded as the most important factor modulating the interannual variation of the South China Sea summer monsoon(SCSSM) onset. A preceding El Ni?o(La Ni?a) usually tends to be followed by a delayed(an advanced) monsoon onset. However, the close relationship between ENSO and SCSSM onset breaks down after the early-2000 s, making seasonal prediction very difficult in recent years. Three possible perspectives have been proposed to explain the weakening linkage between ENSO and SCSSM onset, including interdecadal change of the ENSO teleconnection(i.e., the Walker circulation), interferences of other interannual variability(i.e., the Victoria mode), and disturbances on intraseasonal time scales(i.e., the quasi-biweekly oscillation). By comparing the epochs of 1979–2001 and 2002–19, it is found that the anomalous tropical Walker circulation generated by ENSO is much weaker in the latter epoch and thus cannot deliver the ENSO signal to the SCSSM onset. Besides, in recent years, the SCSSM onset is more closely linked to extratropical factors like the Victoria mode, and thus its linkage with ENSO becomes weaker. In addition to these interannual variabilities, the intraseasonal oscillations like the quasi-biweekly oscillation can disrupt the slow-varying seasonal march modulated by ENSO. Thus, the amplified quasi-biweekly oscillation may also contribute to the weakening relationship after the early-2000 s. 15Research on Electric Impedance Spectroscopy of Living Cell Suspensions by a Chip with Microelectrodes显示文摘A microfabricated electrical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) chip with microelectrodes was developed.The substrate and the electrodes of the chip were made of glass and gold,respectively.The experimental results demonstrated that the EIS-chip could distinguish different solutions (physiological saline,culture medium,living cell suspension etc.) by scanning from 10Hz to 45kHz.A 6-element circuit model was used for fitting the real part and the imaginary part admittance curves of the living cell suspension.An actual circuit was also built and tested to verify the 6-element circuit model proposed.The micro-EIS chip has several advantages including the use of small sample volumes,high resolution and ease of operation.It shows good application prospects in the areas of cellular electrophysioiogy,drug screening and bio-sensors etc.Xing Yang Zhaoying Zhou Mingfei Xiao Ying Wu Shangfeng Liu 2006稀有金属材料与工程2006,35,A03:1

18The occurrence of vanadium in nature:its biogeochemical cycling and relationship with organic matter—a case study of the Early Cambrian black rocks of the Niutitang Formation,western Hunan,China显示文摘Vanadium in the black rocks has economic and environmental impacts.In sediments,it is broadly disseminated as a multivalent metal element mainly sensitive to redox settings.Globally in petroleum,it is considered an abundant component.Vanadium is an essential tool to determine the relationship of the Earth with extra-terrestrial bodies.In the Yangtze region,the black rocks of the Early Cambrian Niutitang Formation are highly enriched in the concentration of V,Co,Ni and Mo.These sediments are comprised of a high total organic carbon content,and the average concentration of vanadium is over 240 ppm.Here we discuss the mechanisms and conditions that were responsible for the accumulation of vanadium in these black sediments in the Yangtze region.The oxygenated ocean water is favorable for the dissolved vanadate species Ⅴ(Ⅴ).Therefore,in oxic ocean-water,it can be reduced by organic matters or by H_(2)S to vanadyl ions Ⅴ(Ⅳ),which can facilely be adsorbed to the tiny particles and finally deposit into the sediments with the settling of the particles.The presence of V_(2)O_(3) in the Niutitang Formation indicates the isomorphism state of vanadium existence in the clay minerals.Clays and pyrite are the most favorable mineral for vanadium enrichment.However,it is suggested the quartz of non-biogenic origin might be unfavorable for vanadium enrichment.Vanadium is mainly derived from the diagenetic transformation of its precursor(porphyrin pigments and chlorophyll)from the organism.During the Early Cambrian period,the massive transgression in the sea level created a favorable environment for organisms to survive.Additionally,the hydrothermal activities brought massive nutrient supply in the form of vanadium and other metal elements from the deep Earth.These creatures consumed the vanadium-rich nutrients,which became a part of their bodies in the form of hard and soft parts.Later on,when these organisms died and were submerged in the sediments.After the diagenetic actions,this vanadium became a part of these black sediments along with organic carbon.Therefore,these black rocks in the Yangtze region are enriched in vanadium and organic carbon.It is suggested the various processes such as adsorption,complexation,and reductions are the main factors responsible for the precipitation of dissolved vanadium into the organically rich sediments.Rizwan Sarwar Awan Chenglin Liu Shangfeng Yang Yuping Wu Qibiao Zang Ashar Khan Guoxiong Li 2021Acta Geochimica2021,40,6:1
19Micro-motion dynamics analysis of ballistic targets based on infrared detection显示文摘The dynamic characteristics related to micro-motions,such as mechanical vibration or rotation, play an essential role in classifying and recognizing ballistic targets in the midcourse, and recent researches explore ways of extracting the micro-motion features from radar signals of ballistic targets. In this paper, we focus on how to investigate the micro-motion dynamic characteristics of the ballistic targets from the signals based on infrared(IR) detection, which is mainly achieved by analyzing the periodic fluctuation characteristics of the target IR irradiance intensity signatures.Simulation experiments demonstrate that the periodic characteristics of IR signatures can be used to distinguish different micromotion types and estimate related parameters.
