1Cervical cancer: Epidemiology, risk factors and screening显示文摘Cervical cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer death among females worldwide and its behavior epidemiologically likes a venereal disease of low infectiousness. Early age at first intercourse and multiple sexual partners have been shown to exert strong effects on risk. The wide differences in the incidence among different countries also influenced by the introduction of screening. Although the general picture remains one of decreasing incidence and mortality, there are signs of an increasing cervical cancer risk probably due to changes in sexual behavior. Smoking and human papillomavirus(HPV) 16/18 are currently important issues in a concept of multifactorial, stepwise carcinogenesis at the cervix uteri. Therefore, society-based preventive and control measures, screening activities and HPV vaccination are recommended. Cervical cancer screening methods have evolved from cell morphology observation to molecular testing. High-risk HPV genotyping and liquid-based cytology are common methods which have been widely recommended and used worldwide. In future, accurate,cheap, fast and easy-to-use methods would be more popular. Artificial intelligence also shows to be promising in cervical cancer screening by integrating image recognition with big data technology. Meanwhile, China has achieved numerous breakthroughs in cervical cancer prevention and control which could be a great demonstration for other developing and resource-limited areas. 2Alendronate loaded graphene oxide functionalized collagen sponge for the dual effects of osteogenesis and anti-osteoclastogenesis in osteoporotic rats显示文摘Graphene Oxide(GO)-related hydrogels have been extensively studied in hard tissue repair,because GO can not only enhance the mechanical properties of polymers but also promote osteogenic differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells.However,simple GO-related hydrogels are not ideal for the repair of osteoporotic bone defects as the overactive osteoclasts in osteoporosis.Alendronate(Aln)is known to inhibit osteoclasts and may bind to GO through covalent connection.Therefore,delivering Aln in GO-related hydrogels may be effective to repair osteoporotic bone defects.Here,we developed a control-released system which is constructed by collagen(Col)-GO sponges loaded with Aln(Col-GO-Aln)for osteoporotic bone defect repair.In vitro,Col-GO-Aln sponges prolonged the release period of Aln,and the sponge containing 0.05%(w/v)GO released Aln faster than sponge with 0.2%GO.Furthermore,tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase(TRAP)and F-actin staining demonstrated that Col-GO-Aln sponges effectively inhibited osteoclastogenesis of monocyte-macrophages.In vivo,micro-CT scan showed that the volume of newborn bone in defect site by 0.05%GO sponge was nearly three times larger than that of other groups.Moreover,the CT and histological examinations of rat femur proved that Col-GO-Aln sponges decreased the number of osteoclasts and suppressed the systemic bone loss in osteoporotic rats.These findings reveal that the application of GO as carriers of anti-osteoporosis drugs is a viable treatment for osteoporosis.The results also underscore the potential of GO-related hydrogels with Aln-releasing capacity for bone regeneration in osteoporosis.Yuyang Zeng Muran Zhou Lifeng Chen Huimin Fang Shaokai Liu Chuchao Zhou Jiaming Sun Zhenxing Wang 2020Bioactive Materials2020,5,4:10
3Retrospective Study of Castleman's Disease:A Report of Fourteen Cases and Review of the Literature显示文摘OBJECTIVE To enhance the understanding of Castleman’s disease (CD), and to improve its diagnosis and management. METHODS Clinical features and related information on diagnosis and treatment of 14 cases of CD were retrospectively analyzed and the literature reviewed. RESULTS Based on the clinical classification, localized CD was found in 8 of the 14 cases. Both the results of lymph node biopsy and histopathology indicated they were a hyaline-vascular type. The multicentric type CD was detected in 6 cases, among which 4 were plasma cell type and 2 mixed type based on histopathologic examination. There were a variety of clinical situa-tions in the 14 cases, with a lack of specificity. They were previously misdiag-nosed as other diseases, and final diagnosis depended on a histopathologic examination. The 8 patients with localized CD underwent excision, without recurrence up to now. The 6 patients with multicentric-type CD were treated with glucocorticoids or combined chemotherapy, and all achieved remission. CONCLUSIONS CD has complicated clinical manifestations and is difficult to diagnose. Lymph node biopsy is important for early diagnosis. 4Cancer incidence and mortality in Henan province,2012显示文摘Objective: Population-based cancer registration data in 2012 from all available cancer registries in Henan province were collected by Henan Office for Cancer Research and Control. The numbers of new cancer cases and cancer deaths in Henan province with compiled cancer incidence and mortality rates were estimated.Methods: In 2015, all registries' data in Henan province were qualified for the national cancer registry annual report in 2012. The pooled data were stratified by area(urban/rural), gender, age group(0, 1-4, 5-9, 10-14, …, 85+) and cancer type. New cancer cases and deaths were estimated using age-specific rates and corresponding population of Henan province in 2012. The Chinese census data in 2000 and Segi's population were applied for age-standardized rates. All the rates were expressed per 100,000 person-years.Results: Qualified 19 cancer registries(4 urban and 15 rural registries) covered 16,082,688 populations of Henan province in 2012. The percentage of cases with morphologically verified(MV%) and death certificateonly cases(DCO%) were 69.84% and 2.30%, respectively, and the mortality to incidence rate ratio(M/I) was 0.64. It was estimated that there were 248,510 new cancer cases and 158,630 cancer deaths in Henan province in 2012. The incidence rate was 266.17/100,000(288.61/100,000 in males and 241.86/100,000 in females), the age-standardized incidence rates by Chinese standard population(ASIRC) and by world standard population(ASIRW) were 208.95/100,000 and 206.41/100,000 with the cumulative incidence rate(0-74 years old) of 24.30%. The crude incidence rate in urban areas was higher than that in rural areas. However, after adjusted by age, the cancer incidence rate in rural was higher than that in urban areas. The crude mortality of all cancers in Henan province was 169.90/100,000(201.23/100,000 in males and 135.95/100,000 in females). The age-standardized mortality rates by Chinese standard population(ASMRC) and by world standard population(ASMRW) were 131.20/100,000 and 130.80/100,000, respectively. Among the patients aged 0-74 years, the cumulative mortality rate was 15.03%. The crude cancer mortality rate in urban areas was higher than that of rural areas. However, the age-standardized rate in rural areas was higher than that of urban areas. Cancers of lung, stomach, esophagus, liver, female breast, colorectum, cervix, brain, uterus and ovary were the most common cancers, accounting for about 82.80% of all cancer new cases. Lung cancer, stomach cancer, esophageal cancer, liver cancer, colorectal cancer, female breast cancer, brain cancer, leukemia, pancreatic cancer and cervix cancer were the leading causes of cancer deaths, accounting for about 88.50% of all cancer deaths. The burden between urban and rural, males and females were different.Conclusions: Registration data of Henan province was qualified to provide basic information on population-based cancer incidence, mortality for cancer prevention and control. The upper digestive tract cancer burden in Henan province, especially for males in rural areas, was higher. The incidence rate of female breast cancer was higher in urban areas. 5Electromagnetic characteristics of carbon nanotube film materials显示文摘Carbon nanotube(CNT) possesses remarkable electrical conductivity, which shows great potential for the application as electromagnetic shielding material.This paper aims to characterize the electromagnetic parameters of a high CNT loading film by using waveguide method.The effects of layer number of CNT laminate, CNT alignment and resin impregnation on the electromagnetic characteristics were analyzed.It is shown that CNT film exhibits anisotropic electromagnetic characteristic.Pristine CNT film shows higher real part of complex permittivity, conductivity and shielding effectiveness when the polarized direction of incident wave is perpendicular to the winding direction of CNT film.For the CNT film laminates, complex permittivity increases with increasing layer number, and correspondingly, shielding effectiveness decreases.The five-layer CNT film shows extraordinary shielding performance with shielding effectiveness ranging from 67 d B to78 d B in X-band.Stretching process induces the alignment of CNTs.When aligned direction of CNTs is parallel to the electric field, CNT film shows negative permittivity and higher conductivity.Moreover, resin impregnation into CNT film leads to the decrease of conductivity and shielding effectiveness.This research will contribute to the structural design for the application of CNT film as electromagnetic shielding materials.Zhang Wei Xiong Huagang Wang Shaokai Li Min Gu Yizhuo 2015Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2015,28,4:4

7Comparative Study of care HPV Assay,Visual Inspection and Pap Smears as Primary Screening in Rural China显示文摘农村地区的肿瘤早诊早治,一直是国家肿瘤防治工作的重点。本文旨在研究在我国农村地区,在当地现实条件下由基层技术人员操作的醋酸碘染色肉眼观察、细胞学以及careHPV DNA检测的可行性。本研究中把当地参加项目的女性随机分为3组,分别采用醋酸碘染色肉眼观察、细胞学以及careHPV DNA进行宫颈癌及癌前病变的初筛。初筛阳性的女性转诊进行阴道镜及活检。所有的检测都是有当地工作人员完成。最终诊断以中国医学科学院肿瘤医院病理专家的结果为准。同时通过问卷调查收集筛查对象及乡医村医有关HPV及筛查项目的认知和态度。最终有894名女性完成careHPV DNA检测,552名女性完成醋酸碘染肉眼观察,547名女性完成巴氏涂片。careHPV检测、醋酸碘染肉眼观察和巴氏涂片的阳性率分别为10.6%,18.1%和4.9%,差异具有统计学意义(χ~2=48.647,P<0.001)。总人群的CIN2+病变检出率为0.5%,尽管careHPV组的CIN2+病变检出率高于其他两组,但差异未发现统计学意义。通过以上研究,显示基层卫生工作人员对HPV相关知识的了解不足,但对于在国家筛查项目中引入HPV检测持积极的态度。在基层条件下由经过简单培训的实验员进行careHPV检测是可行的,应在基层卫生工作者中开展HPV及其检测相关的教育和培训。Zhao Yuqian Dang Le Zhang Shaokai Hu Xiaofeng Zuo Tingting Chen Feng Zhang Xun Chen Wen Qiao Youlin 2018肿瘤预防与治疗2018,31,1:2
8Imaging the interphase of carbon fiber composites using transmission electron microscopy:Preparations by focused ion beam, ion beam etching, and ultramicrotomy显示文摘Three sample preparation techniques, focused ion beam(FIB), ion beam(IB) etching,and ultramicrotomy(UM) were used in comparison to analyze the interphase of carbon fiber/epoxy composites using transmission electron microscopy. An intact interphase with a relatively uniform thickness was obtained by FIB, and detailed chemical analysis of the interphase was investigated by electron energy loss spectroscopy. It shows that the interphase region is 200 nm wide with an increasing oxygen-to-carbon ratio from 10% to 19% and an almost constant nitrogen-to-carbon ratio of about 3%. However, gallium implantation of FIB tends to hinder fine structure analysis of the interphase. For IB etching, the interphase region is observed with transition morphology from amorphous resin to nano-crystalline carbon fiber, but the uneven sample thickness brings difficulty for quantitative chemical analysis. Moreover, UM tends to cause damage and/or deformation on the interphase. 17Mapping of Wbph6(t)-a new gene resistant to white-backed planthopper显示文摘Whitebacked planthopper (WBPH, Sogatella furcifera Horvath) is one of the most destructive insects for rice. The utilization of WBPH resistance genes is always an efficient solution to this problem. Besides five WBPH resistance genes registered, Wbph1, Wbph2, Wbph3, wbph4, and Wbph5, classical segregation analysis and allelism test showed that several rice landraces from Yunan Province, China, carried a new dominant resistance gene Wbph6(t). 20Runge-Kutta Finite Element Method Based on the Characteristic for the Incompressible Navier-Stokes Equations显示文摘In this paper,a finite element method based on the characteristic for the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations is proposed by introducing Runge-Kutta method.At first,coordinate transformation operation is performed to obtain the alternative Navier-Stokes equations without convection term.Then,instead of the classical characteristic-based split(CBS)method,we use the third-order Runge-Kutta method along the characteristic to carry out time discretization in order to improve calculation accuracy,and segregate the calculation of the pressure from that of the velocity based on the momentum-pressure Poisson equation method.Finally,some classical benchmark problems are used to validate the effectiveness of the present method.Compared with the classical method,the present method has lower dissipation,larger permissible time step,and higher time accuracy.The code can be downloaded at DOI:10.13140/RG.2.2.36336.56329.Shaokai Liao Yan Zhang Da Chen 2019Advances in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics2019,11,6:1
