| 1 | The role of antioxidants and pro-oxidants in colon cancer显示文摘This review focuses on the roles antioxidants and prooxidants in colorectal cancer(CRC).Considerable evidence suggests that environmental factors play key roles in the incidence of sporadic CRC.If pro-oxidant factors play an etiological role in CRC it is reasonable to expect causal interconnections between the wellcharacterized risk factors for CRC,oxidative stress and genotoxicity.Cigarette smoking,a high dietary consumption of n-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids and alcohol intake are all associated with increased CRC risk.These risk factors are all pro-oxidant stressors and their connections to oxidative stress,the intestinal microbiome,intestinal microfold cells,cyclooxygenase-2 and CRCare detailed in this review.While a strong case can be made for pro-oxidant stressors in causing CRC,the role of food antioxidants in preventing CRC is less certain.It is clear that not every micronutrient with antioxidant activity can prevent CRC.It is plausible,however,that the optimal food antioxidants for preventing CRC have not yet been critically evaluated.Increasing evidence suggests that RRR-gamma-tocopherol(the primary dietary form of vitamin E)or other'non-alpha-tocopherol'forms of vitamin E(e.g.,tocotrienols)might be effective.Aspirin is an antioxidant and its consumption is linked to a decreased risk of CRC. | William L Stone Koyamangalath Krishnan Sharon E Campbell Victoria E Palau | 2014 | World Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology2014，6，3： | 4 |
| 2 | Functional magnetic resonance imaging and the brain: A brief review显示文摘Functional magnetic resonance imaging(fMRI) is em-ployed in many behavior analysis studies, with blood oxygen level dependent-(BOLD-) contrast imaging being the main method used to generate images. The use of BOLD-contrast imaging in f MRI has been refined over the years, for example, the inclusion of a spin echo pulse and increased magnetic strength were shown to produce better recorded images. Taking careful precautions to control variables during measurement, comparisons between different specimen groups can be illustrated by f MRI imaging using both quantitative and qualitative methods. Differences have been observed in comparisons of active and resting, developing and aging, and defective and damaged brains in various studies. However, cognitive studies using f MRI still face a number of challenges in interpretation that can only be overcome by imaging large numbers of samples. | 3 | Chemical conjugation of a novel antibody interleukin 2 immunoconjugate against c erbB 2 product显示文摘Objective To develop a new chemical method to produce a monoclonal antibody (MoAb) 520C9/recombinant human interleukin 2 (rhIL 2) conjugate Methods MoAb 520C9 reactive with the protooncogene c erbB 2 product P185 was chemically conjugated with rhIL 2 by using a simple two step method First, the rhIL 2 was activated by Sulfosuccinimidyl 4 [N maleimidomethyl] cyclohexane 1 carboxylate, a heterobifunctional linker, and N succinimidyl s acetylthioacetate was introduced onto 520C9 Then SATA on the 520C9 was reacted with the maleimide group on the activated rhIL 2 to generate 520C9 rhIL 2 immunoconjugate Results The immunoconjugate retained the antigen binding activity compared to the respective native antibody as determined by an indirect live cell binding assay The immunoconjugate also possessed IL 2 activity as measured by the standard CTLL 2 cells proliferation assay and the stimulation of human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) into lymphokine activated killer cells Conclusion Our method of conjugation of rhIL 2 to 520C9 preserves the binding activity of the antibody and the cytokine function of IL 2 This simple and efficient method of conjugation should be applicable to other types of MoAbs and recombinant | 李君 Sharon E Lee Marie Belciug David B Ring Cheuk S Kwok | 2000 | Chinese Medical Journal2000，，2： | 3 |
