1Angiogenesis in hepatocellular carcinoma:mechanisms and anti-angiogenic therapies显示文摘Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is the fourth leading cause of cancer-associated death worldwide.Angiogenesis,the process of formation of new blood vessels,is required for cancer cells to obtain nutrients and oxygen.HCC is a typical hypervascular solid tumor with an aberrant vascular network and angiogenesis that contribute to its growth,progression,invasion,and metastasis.Current anti-angiogenic therapies target mainly tyrosine kinases,vascular endothelial growth factor receptor(VEGFR),and plateletderived growth factor receptor(PDGFR),and are considered effective strategies for HCC,particularly advanced HCC.However,because the survival benefits conferred by these anti-angiogenic therapies are modest,new anti-angiogenic targets must be identified.Several recent studies have determined the underlying molecular mechanisms,including pro-angiogenic factors secreted by HCC cells,the tumor microenvironment,and cancer stem cells.In this review,we summarize the roles of pro-angiogenic factors;the involvement of endothelial cells,hepatic stellate cells,tumor-associated macrophages,and tumor-associated neutrophils present in the tumor microenvironment;and the regulatory influence of cancer stem cells on angiogenesis in HCC.Furthermore,we discuss some of the clinically approved anti-angiogenic therapies and potential novel therapeutic targets for angiogenesis in HCC.A better understanding of the mechanisms underlying angiogenesis may lead to the development of more optimized anti-angiogenic treatment modalities for HCC.Changyu Yao Shilun Wu Jian Kong Yiwen Sun Yannan Bai Ruhang Zhu Zhuxin Li Wenbing Sun Lemin Zheng 2023Cancer Biology & Medicine2023,20,1:3

3Synthesis,crystal structure and properties of inorganic-organic hybrid polymers based on 8-hydroxylquinoline-5-sulfonic acid显示文摘Two new inorganic-organic hybrid polymers, Mn(QS)(H2O) (1) and Co(QS)(H2O)2 (2) (H2QS=8-hydroxyl-quinoline-5-sulfonic acid), based on 8-hydroxylquinoline-5-sulfonate ligand, have been synthesized under solvothermal conditions and their structures were solved by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Compound 1 is a three-dimensional open framework with rutile topology structure, and compound 2 is a three-dimensional supramolecular structure. 8DRY-SEASON VARIABILITY IN SUSPENDED SEDIMENT CONCENTRATIONS IN THE SOUTH PASSAGE OF THE CHANGJIANG ESTUARY显示文摘This paper reports the results of continuous monitoring of turbidity, water depth, salinity (using an Optical Backscatter Sensor (OBS)), and current velocity (using a Current meter (SLC9-2)) in the South Passage of the Changjiang Estuary over a spring–neap period in February 2003 (dry season). The turbidity measured via OBS was closely correlated with the suspended sediment concentration (SSC), which was highly variable. Over the study period, the SSC in the middle layer ranged from 110 to 1400 mg/l. The minimum SSC occurred during a late ebb tide, and the maximum SSC occurred during a late flood tide. On average, the SSC was 1.5 times higher during flood tide than during ebb tide. Vertically within the water column, SSC increased downward, with the ratio of SSC measured near the bed to that measured at the surface ranging from 1.90 to 18.3. 9A Stable Luminescent Covalent Organic Framework Nanosheet for Sensitive Molecular Recognition显示文摘Despite rapid advances in fluorescence detectors over the past decade,the development of a highly stable,sensitive,and selective fluorescence platform for molecular recognition remains a considerable challenge.Here we report a stable carbazole-based sp2 carbon fluorescence covalent organic framework(COF)nanosheet,termed a JUC-557 nanosheet.Owing to the synergistic effect of aggregation-induced emission-and aggregation-caused quenching-based chromophores,the architecture of the JUC-577 shows high absolute quantum yields(up to 23.0%)in the solid state and when dispersed in various solvents as well as excellent sensing performance toward specific analytes,such as iodine(Ka:2.10×10^(5)M−1 and LOD:302 ppb),2,4,6-trinitrotoluene(Ka:4.38×10^(5)M−1 and LOD:129 ppb),and especially nitrobenzene(Ka:6.18×10^(6)M−1 and LOD:5 ppb)that is superior to that of fluorescence detection materials reported so far.Furthermore,the JUC-557 nanosheet preserves strong luminescence and sensitive recognition,even under harsh conditions,and allows trace detection of various analytes via a handheld UV lamp.These findings pave the way for developing stable ultrathin COF nanomaterials for highly sensitive and selective molecular detection.Yaozu Liu Junxia Ren Yujie Wang Xin Zhu Xinyu Guan Zisheng Wang Yida Zhou Liangkui Zhu Shilun Qiu Shengxiong Xiao Qianrong Fang 2023CCS Chemistry2023,5,9:0
10Ancient DNA reveals the maternal genetic history of East Asian domestic pigs显示文摘Zoo-archaeological and genetic evidence suggest that pigs were domesticated independently in Central China and Eastern Anatolia along with the development of agricultural communities and civilizations.However,the genetic history of domestic pigs,especially in China,has not been fully explored.In this study,we generate 42 complete mitochondrial DNA sequences from~7500-to 2750-year-old individuals from the Yellow River basin.Our results show that the maternal genetic continuity of East Asian domestic pigs dates back to at least the Early to Middle Neolithic.In contrast,the Near Eastern ancestry in European domestic pigs saw a near-complete genomic replacement by the European wild boar.The majority of East Asian domestic pigs share close haplotypes,and the most recent common ancestor of most branches dates back to less than 20,000 years before present,inferred using new substitution rates of whole mitogenomes or combined protein-coding regions.Two major population expansion events of East Asian domestic pigs coincided with changes in climate,widespread adoption of introduced crops,and the development of agrarian societies.These findings add to our understanding of the maternal genetic composition and help to complete the picture of domestic pig evolutionary history in East Asia.Ming Zhang Yichen Liu Zhipeng Li Peng Lü Jacob D.Gardner Maolin Ye Jihuai Wang Miaomiao Yang Jing Shao Weilin Wang Qingyan Dai Peng Cao Ruowei Yang Feng Liu Xiaotian Feng Lizhao Zhang Enwei Li Yunzheng Shi Zehui Chen Shilun Zhu Weiwei Zhai Tao Deng Ziyuan Duan E.Andrew Bennett Songmei Hu Qiaomei Fu 2022Journal of Genetics and Genomics2022,49,6:0
