1A Kelch Motif-Containing Serine/Threonine Protein Phosphatase Determines the Large Grain QTL Trait in Rice显示文摘A thorough understanding of the genetic basis of rice grain traits is critical for the improvement of rice (Oryza sativa L.) varieties.In this study,we generated an F 2 population by crossing the large-grain japonica cultivar CW23 with Peiai 64 (PA64),an elite indica small-grain cultivar.Using QTL analysis,17 QTLs for five grain traits were detected on four different chromosomes.Eight of the QTLs were newly-identified in this study.In particular,qGL3-1,a newly-identified grain length QTL with the highest LOD value and largest phenotypic variation,was fine-mapped to the 17 kb region of chromosome 3.A serine/threonine protein phosphatase gene encoding a repeat domain containing two Kelch motifs was identified as the unique candidate gene corresponding to this QTL.A comparison of PA64 and CW23 sequences revealed a single nucleotide substitution (C→A) at position 1092 in exon 10,resulting in replacement of Asp (D) in PA64 with Glu (E) in CW23 for the 364th amino acid.This variation is located at the D position of the conserved sequence motif AVLDT of the Kelch repeat.Genetic analysis of a near-isogenic line (NIL) for qGL3-1 revealed that the allele qGL3-1 from CW23 has an additive or partly dominant effect,and is suitable for use in molecular marker-assisted selection.Zejun Hu Haohua He Shiyong Zhang Fan Sun Xiaoyun Xin Wenxiang Wang Xi Qian Jingshui Yang Xiaojin Luo 2012Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2012,54,12:41

3Learning algorithm and application of quantum BP neural networks based on universal quantum gates显示文摘A quantum BP neural networks model with learning algorithm is proposed. First, based on the universality of single qubit rotation gate and two-qubit controlled-NOT gate, a quantum neuron model is constructed, which is composed of input, phase rotation, aggregation, reversal rotation and output. In this model, the input is described by qubits, and the output is given by the probability of the state in which |1 is observed. The phase rotation and the reversal rotation are performed by the universal quantum gates. Secondly, the quantum BP neural networks model is constructed, in which the output layer and the hide layer are quantum neurons. With the application of the gradient descent algorithm, a learning algorithm of the model is proposed, and the continuity of the model is proved. 4Altered trends in carbon uptake in China’s terrestrial ecosystems under the enhanced summer monsoon and warming hiatus显示文摘The carbon budgets in terrestrial ecosystems in China are strongly coupled with climate changes.Over the past decade,China has experienced dramatic climate changes characterized by enhanced summer monsoon and decelerated warming.However,the changes in the trends of terrestrial net ecosystem production(NEP)in China under climate changes are not well documented.Here,we used three ecosystem models to simulate the spatiotemporal variations in China's NEP during 1982–2010 and quantify the contribution of the strengthened summer monsoon and warming hiatus to the NEP variations in four distinct climatic regions of the country.Our results revealed a decadal-scale shift in NEP from a downtrend of–5.95 Tg C/yr^2(reduced sink)during 1982–2000 to an uptrend of 14.22 Tg C/yr^2(enhanced sink)during 2000–10.This shift was essentially induced by the strengthened summer monsoon,which stimulated carbon uptake,and the warming hiatus,which lessened the decrease in the NEP trend.Compared to the contribution of 56.3%by the climate effect,atmospheric CO2 concentration and nitrogen deposition had relatively small contributions(8.6 and 11.3%,respectively)to the shift.In conclusion,within the context of the global-warming hiatus,the strengthening of the summer monsoon is a critical climate factor that enhances carbon uptake in China due to the asymmetric response of photosynthesis and respiration.Our study not only revealed the shift in ecosystem carbon sequestration in China in recent decades,but also provides some insight for understanding ecosystem carbon dynamics in other monsoonal areas.Honglin He Shaoqiang Wang Li Zhang Junbang Wang Xiaoli Ren Lei Zhou Shilong Piao Hao Yan Weimin Ju Fengxue Gu Shiyong Yu Yuanhe Yang Miaomiao Wang Zhongen Niu Rcmg Ge Huimin Yan Mei Huang Guoyi Zhou Yongfei Bai Zongqiang Xie Zhiyao Tang Bingfang Wu Leiming Zhang Nianpeng He Qiufeng Wang Guirui Yu 2019National Science Review2019,6,3:24
5Strigolactones and Brassinosteroids Antagonistically Regulate the Stability of the D53-OsBZR1 Complex to Determine FC1 Expression in Rice Tillering显示文摘Rice tillering,a key architecture trait determ ining grain yield,is highly regulated by a class of newly identified phytohorm ones,strigolactones(SLs).How ever,the whole SL signaling pathw ay from the receptor to dow nstream transcription factors to finally inhibit tillering remains unrevealed.In this study,we first found that brassinosteroids(BRs)strongly enhance tillering by prom oting bud outgrow th in rice,which is largely different from the function of BRs in Arabidopsis.Genetic and biochem ical analyses indicated that both the SL and BR signaling pathw ays control rice tillering by regulating the stability of D53 and/or the OsBZR1 RLA1-DLT module,a transcriptional complex in the rice BR signaling pathway.We further found that D53 interacts with OsBZR1 to inhibit the expression of FC1,a local inhibitor of tillering,and that this inhibition depends on direct DNA binding by OsBZR1,which recruits D53 to the FC1 promoter in rice buds.Taken together,these findings uncover a mechanism illustrating how SLs and BRs coordinately regulate rice tillering via the early responsive gene FC1.Zhongming Fang Yuanyuan Ji Jie Hu Renkang Guo Shiyong Sun Xuelu Wang 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,4:20
6Characteristics of atmospheric single particles during haze periods in a typical urban area of Beijing:A case study in October,2014显示文摘To investigate the composition and possible sources of particles, especially during heavy haze pollution, a single particle aerosol mass spectrometer(SPAMS) was deployed to measure the changes of single particle species and sizes during October of 2014, in Beijing. A total of 2,871,431 particles with both positive and negative spectra were collected and characterized in combination with the adaptive resonance theory neural network algorithm(ART-2a). Eight types of particles were classified: dust particles(dust, 8.1%), elemental carbon(EC, 29.0%), organic carbon(OC, 18.0%), EC and OC combined particles(ECOC, 9.5%),Na-K containing particles(Na K, 7.9%), K-containing particles(K, 21.8%), organic nitrogen and potassium containing particles(KCN, 2.3%), and metal-containing particles(metal,3.6%). Three haze pollution events(P1, P2, P3) and one clean period(clean) were analyzed,based on the mass and number concentration of PM_(2.5)and the back trajectory results from the hybrid single particle Lagrangian integrated trajectory model(Hysplit-4 model). Results showed that EC, OC and K were the major components of single particles during the three haze pollution periods, which showed clearly increased ratios compared with those in the clean period. 7Understanding primary and secondary sources of ambient oxygenated volatile organic compounds in Shenzhen utilizing photochemical age-based parameterization method显示文摘Oxygenated volatile organic compounds(OVOCs) are key intermediates in the atmospheric photooxidation process. To further study the primary and secondary sources of OVOCs,their ambient levels were monitored using a proton-transfer reaction mass spectrometer(PTR-MS) at an urban site in the Pearl River Delta of China. Continuous monitoring campaigns were conducted in the spring, summer, fall, and winter of 2016. Among the six types of OVOC species, the mean concentrations of methanol were the highest in each season(up to 13–20 ppbv), followed by those of acetone, acetaldehyde and acetic acid(approximately 2–4 ppbv), while those of formic acid and methyl ethyl ketone(MEK) were the lowest(approximately 1–2 ppbv). As observed from a diurnal variation chart, the OVOCs observed in Shenzhen may have been affected by numerous factors such as their primary and secondary sources and photochemical consumption. The photochemical age-based parameterization method was used to apportion the sources of ambient OVOCs. Methanol had significant anthropogenic primary sources but negligible anthropogenic secondary sources during all of the seasons. Acetone, MEK and acetic acid were mostly attributed to anthropogenic primary sources during each season with smaller contributions from anthropogenic secondary sources. 10A land use regression for predicting NO_2 and PM_(10) concentrations in different seasons in Tianjin region,China显示文摘Land use regression (LUR) model was employed to predict the spatial concentration distribution of NO2 and PM10 in the Tianjin region based on the environmental air quality monitoring data. Four multiple linear regression (MLR) equations were established based on the most significant variables for NO2 in heating season (R2 = 0.74), and non-heating season (R2 = 0.61) in the whole study area; and PM10 in heating season (R2 = 0.72), and non-heating season (R2 = 0.49). Maps of spatial concentration distribution for NO2 and PM10 were obtained based on the MLR equations (resolution is 10 km). Intercepts of MLR equations were 0.050 (NO2, heating season), 0.035 (NO2, non-heating season), 0.068 (PM10, heating season), and 0.092 (PM10, non-heating season) in the whole study area. In the central area of Tianjin region, the intercepts were 0.042 (NO2, heating season), 0.043 (NO2, non-heating season), 0.087 (PM10, heating season), and 0.096 (PM10, non-heating season). These intercept values might imply an area’s background concentrations. Predicted result derived from LUR model in the central area was better than that in the whole study area. R2 values increased 0.09 (heating season) and 0.18 (non-heating season) for NO2, and 0.08 (heating season) and 0.04 (non-heating season) for PM10. 11Metallogenic Epoch of Nonferrous Metallic and Silver Deposits in the Jiaodong Peninsula, China and its Geological Significance显示文摘As China's most important gold-producing district,the Jiaodong Peninsula also contains copper,lead-zinc,molybdenum(tungsten),and other nonferrous metal ore deposits,but the space-time and genetic relationships with gold deposits remain uncertain.To investigate the temporal relationship between these nonferrous metal and gold ore deposits,We collected the samples from a number of nonferrous metallic and silver deposits and metallogenetic rock bodies in the eastern Jiaodong Peninsula for isotopic dating.The results show that the Re-Os isotopic model ages of the Lengjia molybdenum deposit in Rongcheng range from 114.5± 1.8 Ma to 112.6± 1.5 Ma,with an average age of 113.6± 1.6Ma;the LA-ICP-MS ^(206)Pb/^(238)U ages of 33 zircons in the sericitization porphyritic monzogranite that hosts the Tongjiazhuang silver deposit in Rongcheng range between 122 Ma and 109 Ma,with a weighted mean age of 116.04± 0.95 Ma;the LA-ICP-MS ^(206)Pb/^(238)U ages of 31 zircons in the copper metallogenic pyroxene monzodiorite that hosts the Kuangbei copper deposit in Rongcheng range from126 Ma to 106 Ma,with a weighted mean age of 116.6± 1.7 Ma;and the LA-ICP-MS ^(206)Pb/^(238)U ages of19 zircons in the pyroxene monzodiorite surrounding the Dadengge gold and multimetal deposit in Weihai range from 113 Ma to 110 Ma,with a weighted mean age of 111.7± 0.6 Ma.All these results indicate that the metallogenic ages of the silver and nonferrous metallic deposits in the Jiaodong Peninsula are in a limited range from 118 Ma to 111 Ma.Previous studies have demonstrated that the isotopic ages of gold deposits in the Jiaodong Peninsula range from 123 Ma to 110 Ma,while Weideshanian magmatism occurred between 126 Ma to 108 Ma.Both these ranges are grossly consistent with the metallogenic ages of silver and nonferrous metallic deposits in this study,suggesting that the large-scale mineralization occurred in the Early Cretaceous when magmatic activities were strong.This epoch may be linked to the lithosphere thinning and the thermo-upwelling extension in eastern China at that time.In addition,field investigation also shows that gold and nonferrous metallic deposits are distributed nearby the Weideshanian granite,with the nonferrous metallic deposits lying within or surrounding the granite pluton and the gold deposits outside the granite pluton.We propose the following mineralization scenario:In the Early Cretaceous,an intensive lithospheric extension induced partial melting and degassing of the metasomatized lithospheric mantle,which resulted in the formation of mantle-derived fluids enriched in metal elements.During the rapid process of magma ascent and intrusion,crust-derived fluids were activated by the magmatic thermal dome and served to further extract ore-forming materials from the crust.These fluids may have mixed with the mantle-derived fluid to form a crust-mantle mixing-type ore-forming fluid.The high-temperature conditions in the center or in contact with the granitic magmatic thermal dome would have been favorable for the formation of porphyry-type,skarn-type,and hydrothermal-vein-type ores,thus forming a series of Mo(W),Cu,and Pb-Zn deposits in the mid-eastern Jiaodong Peninsula.In contrast,the medium-to low-temperature conditions in the periphery of the magmatic thermal dome would have favored the deposition of gold(silver) ores under the appropriate physiochemical and structural conditions.The metallogenic epoch of the molybdenum,copper,and silver deposits,and their spatio-temporal and genetic relations to the gold deposits,as demonstrated in this study,not only provide important insights to the study of regional metallogeny,our understanding of the metallogenesis of the Jiaodong type gold deposit,and the geodynamic background of the large-scale mineralization in the Jiaodong Peninsula,but also have practical value in guiding the mineral exploration.SONG Mingchun WANG Shanshan YANG Lixin LI Jie LI Shiyong DING Zhengjiang 2017Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2017,91,4:12
12Induced earthquakes in the development of unconventional energy resources显示文摘It has long been known that human activities such as waste fluid disposal and reservoir impoundment may cause earthquakes. Recently, anthropogenic activities to tackle the increasing energy demand and to address climate change issues are also reported to induce earthquakes. These activities have a common attribute in that fluids are injected and extracted underground and induce spatiotemporal changes of pore pressure and stress, which may cause slip on faults. Induced earthquakes not only pose significant impacts on seismic hazard assessment and preparation, but also raise the question to the society as how to balance the economic needs of resources development and the public's concerns about potential environmental impacts. Here we review the observations of fluid-injection/extraction induced earthquakes, ground deformation associated with these activities, and their physical mechanisms. 13Ant colony optimization algorithm and its application to Neuro-Fuzzy controller design显示文摘An adaptive ant colony algorithm is proposed based on dynamically adjusting the strategy of updating trail information.The algorithm can keep good balance between accelerating convergence and averting precocity and stagnation.The results of function optimization show that the algorithm has good searching ability and high convergence speed.The algorithm is employed to design a neuro-fuzzy controller for real-time control of an inverted pendulum.In order to avoid the combinatorial explosion of fuzzy rules due to multivariable inputs,a state variable synthesis scheme is employed to reduce the number of fuzzy rules greatly.The simulation results show that the designed controller can control the inverted pendulum successfully.Zhao Baojiang Li Shiyong 2007Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2007,18,3:11
14A de novo Genome of a Chinese Radish Cultivar显示文摘Here, we report a high-quality draft genome of a Chinese radish(Raphanus sativus) cultivar. This draft contains 387.73 Mb of assembled scaffolds, 83.93% of the scaffolds were anchored onto nine pseudochromosomes and 95.09% of 43 240 protein-coding genes were functionally annotated. 184.75 Mb(47.65%) of repeat sequences was identified in the assembled genome. By comparative analyses of the radish genome against 10 other plant genomes, 2 275 genes in 780 gene families were found unique to R. sativus. 15Metal release/accumulation during the decomposition of Potamogeton crispus in a shallow macrophytic lake显示文摘Changes in metal concentrations in the litter of Potamogeton crispus were monitored during a consecutive 40-day in situ decomposition experiment using the litterbag method.The accumulation index was calculated and used to indicate the changes in the metals in litter.The results showed that the concentrations of Al,Cd,Cr,Fe,Mn,and Pb in litter increased significantly during the decomposition,while Cu and Zn concentrations decreased dramatically.Significant positive correlations were found between the concentrations of Al,Cr,Fe,and Mn and between Cu and Zn.Moreover,Cu and Zn both negatively correlated with Al and Fe.The remaining dry mass was negatively correlated with Al and Fe concentrations but positively correlated with Cu and Zn concentrations.Generally the accumulation index values of metals other than Al were less than one,indicating that the litter of P.crispus acted as a source of metals to the surrounding water body.Al was the only metal that showed continuous net accumulation in litter.The net accumulation of Fe and Mn in litter during the last 10 days of the experiment may indicate the precipitation of Feand Mn-oxides.It was estimated that 160 g/m^2(dry weight)P.crispus was decomposed in40 days.This was equivalent to releasing the following amounts of metals:0.01 mg Cd,0.03 mg Cr,0.71 mg Cu,0.55 mg Mn,0.02 mg Pb and 13.8 mg Zn into surrounding water,and accumulating 149 mg Al and 11 mg Fe,in a 1 m^2 area.Huanguang Deng Ju Zhang Shiyue Chen Liwei Yang Dongqi Wang Shiyong Yu 2016Journal of Environmental Sciences2016,28,4:10

17Endovascular revascularisation of acute tandem vertebrobasilar artery occlusion:seven case series with literature reviews显示文摘background The outcome of acute ischaemic stroke due to tandem vertebrobasilar artery occlusion was poor.Endovascular revascularisation may be a positive approach for acute basilar artery occlusion combined with vertebral ostium stenosis or occlusion.We reported seven patients with acute vertebrobasilar tandem occlusion by using angioplasty or stenting for proximal lesion and thrombectomy for distal occlusion.Materials and methods Consecutive patients with acute tandem vertebrobasilar artery occlusion at two centres were included in this study.We retrospectively analysed the clinical,technical and functional outcomes of the patients.results From March 2016 to March 2017,seven patients were included.The mean age and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale score at admission was 57 years and 22,respectively.A reverse approach was used in five patients.The Thrombolysis in Cerebral Infarction score 2b-3 was acquired in all patients.There were no procedural complications.The modified Rankin Scale score was 1-2 for three patients and 4 for one patient at 3 months.Three patients died at 3 months of follow-up.Conclusions Endovascular revascularisation may be feasible for acute tandem vertebrobasilar artery occlusion,and more researches are needed.Haihua Yang Ning Ma Shiyong Zhang Xiaochuan Huo Feng Gao Xuan Sun Dapeng Mo Zhongrong Miao 2018Stroke & Vascular Neurology2018,3,1:10

19The interfacial fracture behavior of foam core composite sandwich structures by a viscoelastic cohesive model显示文摘A sandwich beam model consisting of two face sheets and a foam core bonded by a viscoelastic adhesive layer is considered in order to investigate interfacial fracture behavior. Firstly, a cohesive zone model in conjunction with a Maxwell element in parallel, or with a Kelvin element in series, respectively, is employed to describe the characteristics of viscoelasticity for the adhesive layer. The models can be implemented into the implicit finite element code. Next, the parametric study shows that the in- fluences of loading rates on the cohesive zone energy and strength are quite different for different models. Finally, a sandwich double cantilever beam model is adopted to simulate the interface crack growth between the face sheet and core. 20BES1 Functions as the Co-regulator of D53-like SMXLs to Inhibit BRC1 Expression in Strigolactone-Regulated Shoot Branching in Arabidopsis显示文摘Shoot branching,determining plant architecture and crop yield,is critically controlled by strigolactones(SLs).However,how SLs inhibit shoot branching after its perception by the receptor complex remains largely obscure.In this study,using the transcriptomic and genetic analyss as well as biochemical studies,we reveal the key role of BES1 in the SL-regulated shoot branching.Wedemonstrate that BES1 and D53-like SMXLs,the substrates of SL receptor complex D14–MAX2,interact with each other to inhibit BRC1 expression,which specifically triggers the SL-regulated transcriptional network in shoot branching.BES1 directly binds the BRC1 promoter and recruits SMXLs to inhibit BRC1 expression.Interestingly,despite being the shared component by SL and brassinosteroid(BR)signaling,BES1 gains signal specificity through different mechanisms in response to BR and SL signals.Jie Hu Yuanyuan Ji Xiaotong Hu Shiyong Sun Xuelu Wang 2020Plant Communications2020,1,3:9
