| 1 | Flavonoid profiling of a traditional Chinese medicine formula of Huangqin Tang using high performance liquid chromatography显示文摘The quality control processes for herbal medicines have been problematic. Flavonoids are the major active components of Huangqin Tang(HQT, a traditional Chinese medicine formula). In this study, we used a combinative method approach consisting of chromatographic fingerprinting(high performance liquid chromatography; HPLC), quantitative methods and a pharmacodynamic evaluation model to analyze the flavonoids of HQT obtained from different sources. Ten batches of HQT were analyzed by the HPLC fingerprinting method and 26 common peaks were detected, of which 23 peaks corresponded with the chemical profile of HQT. In addition, 11 major compounds were identified by LC–MS analysis(liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometer; LC–MS^n) and quantified by the HPLC quantitative method approach. The studied10 batches of HQT were found to be homogeneous in their composition with a similarity between 0.990 and1.000. The distribution of the 11 identified compounds was found to be very similar among the batches. Only slight pharmacodynamic differences were detected between the different batches, confirming the homogeneity of HQT. | 2 | Microstructure and Tribological Behavior of a TiO_2/hBN Composite Ceramic Coating Formed via Micro-arc Oxidation of Ti–6Al–4V Alloy显示文摘A composite coating containing hexagonal boron nitride(hBN) particles and titanium oxide(TiO_2) was formed on the surface of Ti–6Al–4V alloy via micro-arc oxidation(MAO). The effect of quantity of the hBN-particles added into electrolyte on microstructure, composition, and wear behavior of the resulting composite coatings was investigated. Microstructure, phase composition, and tribological behavior of the resulting MAO coatings were evaluated via scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and ball-on-disc abrasive tests. The results reveal that the TiO_2/hBN composite coating consisting of rutile TiO_2, anatase TiO_2, and an hBN phase was less porous than particle-free coating. Furthermore, the presence of hBN particles in the MAO coating produced an improved anti-friction property. The composite coating produced in the electrolyte containing 2 g/L of hBN particles exhibited the best wear resistance.The outer loose layer of the MAO coatings was removed by a mechanical polishing process, which led to a significant improvement in the wear resistance and anti-friction properties of the MAO coatings and highlighted an essential lubricating role of hBN particles in the composite coatings. | 3 | Galectin-3-centered paracrine network mediates cardiac inflammation and fibrosis upon β-adrenergic insult显示文摘Rapid over-activation of β-adrenergic receptors (β-AR) following acute stress initiates cardiac inflammation and injury by activating interleukin-18 (IL-18),however,the process of inflammation cascades has not been fully illustrated.The present study aimed to determine the mechanisms of cardiac inflammatory amplification following acute sympathetic activation.With bioinformatics analysis,galectin-3 was identified as a potential key downstream effector of β-AR and IL-18 activation.The serum level of galectin-3 was positively correlated with norepinephrine or IL-18 in patients with chest pain.In the heart of mice treated with β-AR agonist isoproterenol (ISO,5 mg kg^(-1)),galectin-3 expression was upregulated markedly later than IL-18 activation,and Nlrp3^(-/-)and Il18^(-/-)mice did not show ISO-induced galectin-3 upregulation.It was further revealed that cardiomyocyte-derived IL-18 induced galectin-3 expression in macrophages following ISO treatment.Moreover,galectin-3deficiency suppressed ISO-induced cardiac inflammation and fibrosis without blocking ISO-induced IL-18 increase.Treatment with a galectin-3 inhibitor,but not a β-blocker,one day after ISO treatment effectively attenuated cardiac inflammation and injury.In conclusion,galectin-3 is upregulated to exaggerate cardiac inflammation and injury following acute β-AR activation,a galectin-3 inhibitor effectively blocks cardiac injury one day after β-AR insult. | Guomin Hu Jimin Wu Huijun Gu Xiangning Deng Wenli Xu Shan Feng Shuaixing Wang Yao Song Zhengda Pang Xiuling Deng Aleksandr E.Vendrov Nageswara R.Madamanchi Marschall S.Runge Xinyu Wang Youyi Zhang Han Xiao Erdan Dong | 2023 | Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,5: | 3 |

| 5 | Effect of Kerosene Flowing Rate on Microstructure and Wearing Properties for Fe-based Amorphous Coatings显示文摘The effects of kerosene flow rate on the microstructure and wearing properties were investigated for Fe-based amorphous coatings sprayed by High Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF).The microstructures and wearing properties of the Fe-based amorphous coatings were analyzed with scanning electron microscope (SEM),X-ray diffraction analyzer (XRD),and ball-on-disc tribometer (CFT-1),respectively.The experimental results show that the well interfacial bonding can be observed between the amorphous coating layer and the substrate,and the porosity in amorphous coating layer is less to 1%.Only some crystalline a-Fe and FeO phases can be detected by XRD in the amorphous coatings,while the amorphous content is up to 99.4%.The wearing coefficient is near to 0.15,which is superior to SUS316 of 0.28.As the increasing of wearing loads,the failure mode is changed from oxidation wear to the composite of oxidation and abrasive wear. | 杨翔麟 王善林 GONG Yubing CHEN Yuhua WANG Shuaixing WU Jisi | 2020 | Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2020,35,6: | 0 |
