3Seismic design or retrofit of buildings with metallic structural fuses by the damage-reduction spectrum显示文摘Recently, the structural fuse has become an important issue in the field of earthquake engineering. Due to the trilinearity of the pushover curve of buildings with metallic structural fuses, the mechanism of the structural fuse is investigated through the ductility equation of a single-degree-of-freedom system, and the corresponding damage-reduction spectrum is proposed to design and retrofit buildings. Furthermore, the controlling parameters, the stiffness ratio between the main frame and structural fuse and the ductility factor of the main frame, are parametrically studied, and it is shown that the structural fuse concept can be achieved by specific combinations of the controlling parameters based on the proposed damage-reduction spectrum. 6Study on the adsorption kinetics of orthophosphate anions on layer double hydroxide显示文摘A kinetic study was conducted on the adsorption of orthophosphate anions on layer double hydroxide (LDH). The adsorption has proved itself to be a spontaneous endothermic process and is large in capacity and rate. The adsorption isotherm correlates well with the Freundlich model, and a rise in temperature will lead to an increase in adsorption efficiency. Additionally, the results suggested that the adsorption is an entropy-increasing process and is in good agreement with the pseudo-second order kinetics. The free energy (ΔG) of adsorption of orthophosphate onto LDH varies within the range of -1.75--3.34 kJ/mol, the enthalpy (ΔH) varies by 7.96 kJ/mol and the entropy (ΔS) by 33.59 kJ/mol. 13Self-supported ultrathin Co_(3)O_(4) nanoarray enabling efficient paired electrolysis of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural for simultaneous dihydroxymethylfuran(DHMF)and furandicarboxylic acid(FDCA)production显示文摘Production of value-added chemicals and fuels from biomass via electrochemical methods has been of emerging interest in light of the increasing environmental, economic, and political challenges. Paired electrolysis, with anodic oxidation and cathodic reduction reactions pairing in a single electrochemical cell,offers an effective way to produce desired products in both electrodes, thus achieving complete electron economy. In this work, an efficient 5-hydroxymethylfurfural(HMF) paired electrolysis system is developed over a self-supported ultrathin CO_(3)O_(4) nanoarray electrocatalyst for simultaneous production of valueadded 2,5-dihydroxymethylfuran(DHMF) and 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid(FDCA). The as-designed paired electrolysis cell achieves a high HMF conversion and DHMF/FDCA selectivity at both anode and cathode without external hydrogen and oxygen input. A near-quantitative yield(95.7%) of FDCA and 78.8% yield of DHMF can be achieved in the paired electrolysis system, with a total Faradaic efficiency of 127%. 15Design and experimental validation of improved grapevine burying machine显示文摘In order to address the low soil breaking rate,poor soil covering performance,and low working efficiency of the existing 3MT-1.8 and PMT-75 grapevine burying machines,two types of improved burying machines,namely the 3MTLJ-1.8 and 3MTXP-1.8,were developed in consideration of the local Ningxia soil conditions.Field experimental results indicated that the soil breaking rate of the 3MTLJ-1.8 machine was 71.44%,and its soil sampling volume increased by approximately 30%compared to that of the 3MT-1.8 machine.It was verified that the self-developed 3MTLJ-1.8 machine can be used in the southern regions of Ningxia.Furthermore,the soil sampling volume of the 3MTXP-1.8 burying machine was 0.24 m^(3)/m,and its soil breaking rate increased by more than 41.42%compared to the standard required volume.The 3MTXP-1.8 machine can be used in the northern areas of Ningxia,where the soil hardness is higher.The results can provide a reference for the development and popularization of grapevine burying machines in Ningxia.Shuming Yang Huiyan She Shuchuan Yang Xuejun Zhu Yun Chen Jinhai Li Maoqiang Li 2018International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,2:1

20Steam disinfection enhances bioaccessibility of metallic nanoparticles in nano-enabled silicone-rubber baby bottle teats,pacifiers,and teethers显示文摘Nano-enabled silicone-rubber articles for feeding or chewing could be a source of metallic nanoparticles(NPs)directly exposed to infants and young children.However,the impact of steam disinfection on release of NPs and the related potential risks to children's health are unknown.Here,we investigated contents and form of Ag and Zn in 57 nano-enabled silicone-rubber baby bottle teats,pacifiers,and teethers of seven countries and examined the impacts of steam disinfection on in vitro bioaccessibility(IVBA)of Ag and Zn in the articles.Nearly 89%articles had a mixture of Ag-and Zn-containing NPs and the teethers had relatively high Ag and Zn contents(up to 501 and 254μg/g,respectively).Steam disinfection caused rubber decomposition into micro(nano)plastics(0.54-15.7μm)and NP release from the interior of bulk rubber and micro-sized plastics,thus enhancing the IVBA of Ag and Zn by up to 5.5 times.The findings provide insights into mechanisms for NP release by steam disinfection.Though oral exposure risk assessment suggested low health concerns on individual metal release,our study points out the need to assess the potential health risks of child co-exposure to metallic NPs and micro(nano)plastics.Yu Su BinWang Xin Tong Shuchuan Peng Sijin Liu Baoshan Xing Rong Ji 2024Journal of Environmental Sciences2024,,2:0
