| 1 | Formation blockage risk analysis of geothermal water reinjection:Rock property analysis,pumping and reinjection tests,and long-term reinjection prediction显示文摘The blockage induced by particle migration and deposition is one of the main reasons for the decrease of reinjection capacity in the porous geothermal reservoir with a low and medium temperature.In this paper,a new drilled geothermal well in Xining basin China is taken as an example to investigate the formation blockage risk due to the movable clay and sand particles in pores.The physical properties of the reservoir rocks were analyzed,a series of pumping and reinjection tests were conducted,and the longterm reinjection performance of the well was predicted by numerical simulation based on the test fitting.The results show that the geothermal reservoir rocks are argillaceous and weakly cemented sandstones with a content of movable clay and sand particles up to 0.18–23.42 wt.%.The well presented a high productivity of 935–2186 m3?d-1 at a pressure difference of 0.7–1.62 MPa in the pumping tests associated with a large amount of clay and sand particles produced out,while in the reinjection test,only a low injectivity of 240–480 m3?d-1 was observed at an injection pressure of 0.2–0.6 MPa with the clay and sand particles near the wellbore move into deep.According to the prediction,under conditions of a blockage risk,the injectivity of the well will start to decline after 100 days of injection,and in the third year,it will decrease by 59.00%–77.09%.The influence of invasion of pretreated suspended particles and scale particles can be neglected.Under conditions of a high blockage risk,the injectivity of the well will decrease significantly in the first 20–30 days,with a decline of 75.39%–78.96%.Generally,the higher the injection pressure or rate,the greater the decrease in injectivity of the well caused by particle blockage.Pump lifting is an effective measure to remove the well blockage which can be used regularly. | Liang Zhang Songhe Geng Linchao Yang Ronghua Wen Chuan He Zhen Zhao Guangxiong Qin | 2022 | Geoscience Frontiers2022,13,1: | 3 |
| 2 | Effect of sericin on diabetic hippocampal growth hormone/insulin-like growth factor 1 axis显示文摘Previous studies have shown that sericin extracted from silk cocoon significantly reduces blood glucose levels and protects the nervous system against diabetes mellitus. In this study, a rat type 2 diabetes mellitus model was established by intraperitoneal injection of 25 mg/kg streptozotocin for 3 successive days, following which the rats were treated with sericin for 35 days. After treatment, the blood glucose levels of the diabetic rats decreased significantly, the growth hormone level in serum and its expression in the hippocampus decreased significantly, while the insulin-like growth factor-1 level in serum and insulin-like growth factor-1 and growth hormone receptor expression in the hippocampus increased significantly. | 3 | Comparison of ablative and compressive mechanical behavior of several PICA-like ablative materials显示文摘It is significant to compare the ablative and compressive mechanical behavior of different PICA-like materials in the engineering applications.The plasma wind tunnel ablation tests with high-entropy air and CO2 atmospheres,and compressive experiments in the ambient and 150℃,were conducted for three kinds of PICA-like materials(CF/PR-Si,CBCF/PR-SiOC and NQF/PR-Si composites).The traditional carbon/phenolic(C/PR)braided composites were also used for comparison.PICA-like materials have the better thermal insulation than traditional C/PR composite,especially for CBCF/PR-SiOC composite.The ablation behavior of CF/PR-Si and CBCF/PR-SiOC PICA-like materials in the CO2 atmosphere can produce a large amount of SiO2 in the form of coatings,oxide layers and skeletons on the ablated surface,which are greatly different from that in the air atmosphere.The compressive behavior of PICA-like material is greatly depended on the fiber fabrics,and exhibits the large discrete characteristics.The longer fiber in the PICA-like materials plays the role in maintaining the material integrity,while it may increase the thermal conductivity. | ZHANG Jun FANG GuoDong YANG LingWei LI Wei HONG ChangQing MENG SongHe | 2020 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,8: | 2 |

| 8 | Altered acetylcholinesterase levels in the spinal cord anterior horn and dorsal root ganglion following sciatic nerve ischemia显示文摘BACKGROUND: Peripheral nerve ischemia has been shown to result in ischemic fiber degenera-tion and axoplasmic transport disturbance. However, the effect on acetylcholinesterase (AChE) ex- pression in relevant cells following sciatic nerve ischemia remains unclear. OBJECTIVE: To observe AChE concentration changes following peripheral nerve ischemia. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: The present comparative observation, neuroanatomical experiment was performed at the Central Laboratory Animal of Chengde Medical College between 2006 and 2007. MATERIALS: A total of 20 healthy, adult, Wistar rats were randomized into two groups (n = 10): 8-day ischemia and 14-day ischemia. METHODS: Ischemia injury was induced in the unilateral sciatic nerve (experimental side) through ligation of the common iliac artery. The contralateral side received no intervention, and served as the control side. Rats in the 8-day ischemia and 14-day ischemia groups were allowed to survive for 8 and 14 days, respectively. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The L5 lumbar spinal cord and the L5 dorsal root ganglion were removed from both sides and sectioned utilizing a Leica vibrating slicer. AChE cellular expression was detected using Karnovsky-Root, and the number of AChE-positive cells and average gray value were analyzed using a MiVnt image analysis system. RESULTS: In the 8-day ischemia group, AChE-positive cell numbers were significantly less in the dorsal root ganglion and spinal cord anterior horn of the experimental side, but the average gray value was significantly greater, compared with the control side (P < 0.05). These changes were more significant in the 14-day ischemia group than in the 8-day ischemia group (P < 0.01). | 15 | Leptin effects on the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis by activating proopiomelanocortin neurons Correlation between regulatory effects and duration显示文摘BACKGROUND:Leptin preserves reproductive functions by stimulating hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis activities at different levels.Some interneurons play an important role in leptin regulation of the gonadal axis.It remains uncertain whether leptin regulates reproductive functions by activating proopiomelanocortin (POMC) neurons.OBJECTIVE:To investigate leptin effects on secretory function of the neuroendocrine-gonadal axis by activating POMC neurons and to observe and verify the relationship between leptin effects and various time points.DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:The randomized,controlled,animal study was performed at the Basic Institute of Chengde Medical University and the Research Room of Reproductive Immunology of National Research Institute for Family Planning from June to September 2008.MATERIALS:Leptin (Peprotech,USA),α-melanocyte stimulating hormone and rabbit anti-POMC polyclonal antibody (SC-20148) (Santa Cruz Biotechnology,USA),follicle stimulating hormone,luteinizing hormone,and gonadotropin releasing hormone enzyme-labeled immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kit (ADL,USA) were used in the present study.METHODS:A total of 60 healthy,female,adult,Wistar rats received 17 β-estradiol for 5 consecutive days at 15 days after ovariectomy.The rats were randomly assigned to physiological saline (n=35),leptin (n=35),and α-melanocyte stimulating hormone (n=20) groups.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Changes in gonadotropin releasing hormone,luteinizing hormone,and follicle stimulating hormone were compared following intraventricular injection of physiological saline,leptin,and α-melanocyte stimulating hormone at various time points.Changes in POMC mRNA and protein expression in the hypothalamus were measured following physiological saline and leptin injection via the lateral ventricle.RESULTS:Compared to the physiological saline group,leptin and α-melanocyte stimulating hormone affected secretion in the hypothalamus-pituitary axis.Leptin affected secretion of gonadotropin releasing hormone,luteinizing hormone,and follicle stimulating hormone,whereas α-melanocyte stimulating hormone inhibited secretion of these hormones.Compared to the physiological saline group,POMC mRNA expression was significantly increased in the hypothalamus at 2 and 4 hours after leptin injection (P < 0.05),but expression recovered to physiological saline group levels at 6 hours after injection (P > 0.05).POMC protein expression was significantly increased in the hypothalamus at 4 and 6 hours after leptin injection (P < 0.05).CONCLUSION:Leptin affects secretory function of the neuroendocrine-gonadal axis through combined effects on POMC neurons and other pathways.Results suggested that the regulatory effects of POMC neurons were later compared to other neurons. | Songhe Yang Luyang Cheng Xiuyan Ma Lianzhi Zhao Xiaotong Dong Peiming Feng Xiaoqiang Wang Tiecheng Sun Yuebing Qiao | 2010 | Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,9: | 0 |

| 17 | A reconfigurable dynamic Bayesian network for digital twin modeling of structures with multiple damage modes显示文摘Dynamic Bayesian networks(DBNs)are commonly employed for structural digital twin modeling.At present,most researches only consider single damage mode tracking.It is not sufficient for a reusable spacecraft as various damage modes may occur during its service life.A reconfigurable DBN method is proposed in this paper.The structure of the DBN can be updated dynamically to describe the interactions between different damages.Two common damages(fatigue and bolt loosening)for a spacecraft structure are considered in a numerical example.The results show that the reconfigurable DBN can accurately predict the acceleration phenomenon of crack growth caused by bolt loosening while the DBN with time-invariant structure cannot,even with enough updates.The definition of interaction coefficients makes the reconfigurable DBN easy to track multiple damages and be extended to more complex problems.The method also has a good physical interpretability as the reconfiguration of DBN corresponds to a specific mechanism.Satisfactory predictions do not require precise knowledge of reconfiguration conditions,making the method more practical. | Yumei Ye Qiang Yang Jingang Zhang Songhe Meng Jun Wang Xia Tang | 2023 | Theoretical & Applied Mechanics Letters2023,13,4: | 0 |
