| 9 | Detection of Safety Helmet-Wearing Based on the YOLO_CA Model显示文摘Safety helmets can reduce head injuries from object impacts and lower the probability of safety accidents,as well as being of great significance to construction safety.However,for a variety of reasons,construction workers nowadays may not strictly enforce the rules of wearing safety helmets.In order to strengthen the safety of construction site,the traditional practice is to manage it through methods such as regular inspections by safety officers,but the cost is high and the effect is poor.With the popularization and application of construction site video monitoring,manual video monitoring has been realized for management,but the monitors need to be on duty at all times,and thus are prone to negligence.Therefore,this study establishes a lightweight model YOLO_CA based on YOLOv5 for the automatic detection of construction workers’helmet wearing,which overcomes the shortcomings of the current manual monitoring methods that are inefficient and expensive.The coordinate attention(CA)addition to the YOLOv5 backbone strengthens detection accuracy in complex scenes by extracting critical information and suppressing non-critical information.Further parameter compression with deeply separable convolution(DWConv).In addition,to improve the feature representation speed,we swap out C3 with a Ghost module,which decreases the floating-point operations needed for feature channel fusion,and CIOU_Loss was substituted with EIOU_Loss to enhance the algorithm’s localization accuracy.Therefore,the original model needs to be improved so as to enhance the detection of safety helmets.The experimental results show that the YOLO_CA model achieves good results in all indicators compared with the mainstream model.Compared with the original model,the mAP value of the optimized model increased by 1.13%,GFLOPs cut down by 17.5%,and there is a 6.84%decrease in the total model parameters,furthermore,the weight size cuts down by 4.26%,FPS increased by 39.58%,and the detection effect and model size of this model can meet the requirements of lightweight embedding. | Xiaoqin Wu Songrong Qian Ming Yang | 2023 | Computers, Materials & Continua2023,77,12: | 0 |
| 10 | Sulfation of chondroitin and bile acids converges to antagonize Wnt/β-catenin signaling and inhibit APC deficiency-induced gut tumorigenesis显示文摘Sulfation is a crucial and prevalent conjugation reaction involved in cellular processes and mammalian physiology.3’-Phosphoadenosine 5’-phosphosulfate(PAPS)synthase 2(PAPSS2)is the primary enzyme to generate the universal sulfonate donor PAPS.The involvement of PAPSS2-mediated sulfation in adenomatous polyposis coli(APC)mutation-promoted colonic carcinogenesis has not been reported.Here,we showed that the expression of PAPSS2 was decreased in human colon tumors along with cancer stages,and the lower expression of PAPSS2 was correlated with poor prognosis in advanced colon cancer.Gut epithelial-specific heterozygous Apc deficient and Papss2-knockout(Apc^(Δgut-Het)Papss2^(Δgut))mice were created,and the phenotypes were compared to the spontaneous intestinal tumorigenesis of Apc^(Δgut-Het)mice.Apc^(Δgut-Het)Papss2^(Δgutmice) were more sensitive to gut tumorigenesis,which was mechanistically accounted for by the activation of Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway due to the suppression of chondroitin sulfation and inhibition of the farnesoid X receptor(FXR)-transducin-like enhancer of split 3(TLE3)gene regulatory axis.Chondroitin sulfate supplementation in Apc^(Δgut-Het)Papss2^(Δgutmice) alleviated intestinal tumorigenesis.In summary,we have uncovered the protective role of PAPSS2-mediated chondroitin sulfation and bile acids-FXR-TLE3 activation in the prevention of gut carcinogenesis via the antagonization of Wnt/β-catenin signaling.Chondroitin sulfate may be explored as a therapeutic agent for Papss2 deficiency-associated colonic carcinogenesis. | Pengfei Xu Yue Xi Jong-Won Kim Junjie Zhu Min Zhang Meishu Xu Songrong Ren Da Yang Xiaochao Ma Wen Xie | 2024 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2024,14,3: | 0 |
| 11 | Transgenic overexpression of steroid sulfatase alleviates cholestasis显示文摘Background and Aim:Sulfotransferase(SULT)-mediated sulfation and steroid sulfatase(STS)-mediated desulfation represent two critical mechanisms that regulate the chemical and functional homeostasis of endogenous and exogenous molecules.STS catalyzes the hydrolysis of steroid sulfates to form hydroxysteroids.Oxygenated cholesterol derivative oxysterols are known to be endogenous ligands of the liver X receptor(LXR),a nuclear receptor with anti-cholestasis activity,whereas the sulfated oxysterols antagonize LXR signaling.The conversion of sulfated oxysterols to their non-sulfated counterparts is catalyzed by STS.The aim of this study is to determine whether STS can alleviate cholestasis by increasing the activity of LXR.Methods:Liver-specific STS transgenic mice were created and subject to the lithocholic acid(LCA)-induced model of cholestasis.Results:Transgenic overexpression of STS in the liver promoted bile acid elimination and alleviated LCAinduced cholestasis.The protective effect of the STS transgene was associated with the activation of LXR and induction of LXR target genes,likely because of the increased conversion of the antagonistic oxysterol sulfates to the agonistic oxysterols.Conclusions:STS has a novel function in controlling the homeostasis of bile acids by regulating endogenous LXR ligands. | Mengxi Jiang Meishu Xu Songrong Ren Kyle W.Selcer Wen Xie | 2017 | Liver Research2017,1,1: | 0 |
